Esse livro reúnem os três contos:

- The Redcoat Chase
Focado na tomada da casa branca pelos britânicos onde temos um personagem que não sabia que era um Cahill e acaba precisando ajudar nos negócios da família ao lado da primeira dama. Interessante, mas não tão legal.

- The Houdini Escape
Como o nome sugere, é focado em Harry que vem a ser conhecido como O grande Houdini. Para escapar dos Vespers ele acaba colocando em prática vários de sus truques. Legalzinho.

- The Submarine Job

The first two stories were too fast and uninteresting but the third one was quite nice.

In this installment of the Cahill files, the all powerful family is reassured that they are not done with the war against the Vespers. In the book we are introduced to three separate scenarios. The first being in the Revolutionary war with a young boy named Fredrick. He was told by a soldier that he was supposed to deliver a message to the president. Fredrick got information about the map that leads to Gideon's Ring, a very important tool used in finding the 39 clues, which if completed gives the user powerful and god-like immunity, though for a short amount of time. The young boy however meets Dolley Madison, first lady to James Madison. Dolley actually gets the information and the map of Gideon's Ring is somewhere in the White House. There is a Vesper general called unimaginatively General V. V finds Fredrick and Dolley to interrogate them to find the whereabouts of the map. With a fortunate turn of events, Fredrick escapes with the map and General V dies. The next story is about Harry Houdini and how he was starting to fail at Circus Magic. One failure lead to the next as Harry's trust with other managers declined. However, he and his friend who was in a factory had a magic trick that would save his life when Vespers want an artifact for money and other purposes. The Vesper members asked Harry to steal an artifact from a museum and give the artifact to them. Harry thought that he would get out unscathed but the Vesper members want to drown Harry and that is when he and his friend's trick saved his life. After the Vesper members found out about this, they ended up trying to do the same thing. Harry escaped a second time and lived his life as a successful magician. The final story involves a young Fiske Cahill, the future head of the Cahill family. His sister Grace was in danger of giving up the ring to Vesper spies who have surrounded the hotel in which she fled to. Fiske was tasked in delivering the ring to Puerto Rico in which she would get after his voyage on a nuclear submarine. To make sure he had as much of a fake identity as possible. As he was on his voyage, he was attacked by a secret Vesper spy who had known that Fiske had Gideon's Ring. In a unfortunate turn of events, the lieutenant of the ship died to the Vesper and Fiske then escaped the nuclear submarine as it had a small engine failure and the Vesper was close into killing Fiske. The reason why I gave this book 4 stars is because of the fact that it had three separate stories that contributed to the plot as a whole. This is what I think about The 39 Clues: The Cahill Files: Spymasters.

Great Book! Don't read this unless you have completed the ENTIRE 39 clues series.

Book Blurb: Part 1: Fredrick is living a fairly normal life helping his family run the inn, cleaning stables when need be, and replacing sugar with salt in a cranky guest's coffee as a small prank. As a punishment for the salt, he is told to clean the stables. But then, his parents confront him with the news that he is part of a family that goes back many years. A family that is protecting a ring from the ruthless Vespers.

Part 2: Harry has one more act before the end of the night. He slips the card into a kids pocket and shows that the card is missing. He asks for the kid to check his pocket, but the card isn't there. One by one, the crowd moves out and Harry is left alone. Now, Harry must go home with no money to provide for his family. But when he gets home, the house is recked, and the wall is marked with a giant V. Soon, Harry finds out that his dad is in debt to the Vespers and is he is plunged into an adventure that he will never forget.

Part 3: Fiske is completing his school year. He is constantly bullied and hopes for it to end soon. But then, he receives a package from his sister, Grace. She is in trouble and needs his help, but the secretary is making it very difficult to leave. On his daring attempt to escape... On a girl's bicycle, he finds out that she is a Vesper. Eventually, he makes it to Grace and she tells him of the trouble she's in and gives him the ring to safe guard. To keep Fiske safe, Grace puts him on a trip to Puerto Rico on the first ever nuclear submarine, the Nautilus. But on as he boards the sub, what he doesn't know is that a Vesper is also on the Nautilus, watching his every step.

The Redcoat Chase: 3 stars. This one wasn't interesting until about 3/4 of the way in, but then it was seriously awesome.

The Houdini Escape: 4 stars. This one was so interesting but I think the magic was the cool part for me. It was also interesting how people outside the Cahill family were the center of this story.

The Submarine Job: 4.5 stars. Fiske and Grace. Do I need to say more. Their stories are always my favorites.

A chronological compilation of the three middle stories of the Cahill Clues series.

The stories are pretty well written and full of menacing adventure and a focus on the characters central to them is seems to be theme to Clifford Riley's writing.

While you'll definitely find yourself falling in love with them, I do miss the journey through history following the artifact in these stories. All three stories have very heartwarming struggles and deep losses, but they don't really go into much detail about the actual clue that the Cahills are trying to keep out of Madrigal hands.

A solid read nonetheless and a noteworthy extra.

I haven't read the 39 clues in a while The last one I read was The 39 clues Cahill vs. Vespers: Shatterproof. I was lucky enough to get this book and the next two books in the series. I thought this was a pretty good book and was in typical 39 clues style. The suspense, the big characters, the action. I liked all of them. I also liked that there was a story of Fiske because he is a major character too. I liked all three stories and I thought the authors did a good job. Can't wait to continue on the series and see what else the authors have in store for our beloved characters.

3 short Cahill stories. One from the Civil War time period. Second one from Harry Houdini as a child (my fav). And finally characters we know Fiske and Grace Cahill as teenagers. I wish I remembered more details from the main series to figure out what the markings on the stole urn mean and some name that started with a T. Overall a lot of the same quality writing as previous novels. Not necessary to read, but enjoyable if you want to still with the series and learn of more evils the Vespers are responsible for.

This was an amazing book. It had all the things I love in a book. An intese climax, mystery during the rising action, and a lot of details during the falling action. It is a book about a boy who is part of the cahill family. Their main rivals are thee vespers who want to kill them. In this book they are in the civil war and the vespers are aprroaching, not giving any spoilers but it is an intese matchup

I really enjoyed this collection. I also think it adds a lush history to the world of the 39 Clues. I also don't think it's necessary at all to read them (which I appreciate) as they don't reveal any spoilers or plot points or any of the mysteries. They're just exciting, action packed stories that were a great distraction while I was on the exercise bike.

The stories are not bad, but, well, there's not really a big and intriguing link with the main characters of the series themselves. Except for Fiske. Apart from that, they're just… short stories. Fine. Okay. But that's it, I guess? Although I have to be honest and say that I, personally, have never cared much for short stories. So, well.

Spymasters was probably the most boring 39 Clues book I’ve read (although it wasn’t the worst—that title belongs to David Baldacci’s “contribution” to the series).

I recommend skipping this book entirely.

The Cahill files have been cracked open by the family leader, Amy Cahill, and now, stories of Cahills of the past, including Dolly Madison, Harry Houdini, and Fiske Cahill himself, are being revealed. Learn more about the family and their past as you read the second edition to the Cahill files. I enjoyed reading this book, but because it is actually a collection of three e-books, the three parts didn't exactly combine and interlock like the first stories in book one did.
