*This book can be read as a STAND ALONE* I would suggest reading the prior 2 novels and novella BUT Facade follows the story of a secondary character in the previous books.
Kylee Anderson has all the qualities any man would want; sexy, fun, witty, intelligent and most importantly, she never wants a commitment.
She’s gone the last four years getting exactly what she wants out of life: She’s continued a friendship with her oldest friend in the world, built a new bond with Skylar and Danny, and had the full college experience.
After graduation, Kylee starts looking for a job where she meets Jacoby Roberts, CEO of the largest real estate development company in Ann Arbor. Just when she thought she was falling for Jacoby and his charm, she was hit with the reality of why it could never be. Not just with him, but with anyone.
Determined to continue down the path of sex without titles, Jacoby will try to break through her shell and win her heart. There’s only one problem; Kylee isn’t that easy to win over. She’s witnessed what happens when you let love interfere with sex, and she’s vowed to never be in that position.
Will Jacoby be able to secure a place in her heart? Will Kylee allow herself to feel the things she’s fighting, or will she keep living behind a façade?
***Mature Audience Only*** **Strong Sexual Content**
Ashley Suzanne has been writing as long as she can remember. As a youngster, she was always creating stories and talking to her imaginary friends. Thankfully, her parents also carried this love of fiction, and helped her grow into the writer she is today.
Ashley is a bestselling author and spends equal amounts of time writing and reading. Being the true book whore she is, Ashley would rather dive into a good book before going out of her house. Giving up her career in Real Estate, Ashley has officially moved to hermit status.
When Ashley isn't coming up with her next story, you'll most likely find her on the couch with a kindle in her hand (probably watching some crappy reality show while , annoying her husband by telling him all about her new book boyfriend or spending quality time with her two gremlins ... Sorry, I mean adorable children.
Well, you all know that I love Ashley Suzanne, even for what she did to us with her first book in this series, Mirage. And no matter how many times she makes us hate her, I still love her. So of course, I dived right in when I was asked to beta read Façade, the third book in the Destined series. This book follows the story of Mira’s best friend, Kylee Anderson. Kylee Anderson has been in a friends with benefits typed relationship with Mira’s boss, Jacoby Roberts. Now, Jacoby is hot. Sexy, scorching, handsome, gorgeous, well-endowed, you know, that guy. Kylee refuses to give him the “more” that he wants from their relationship, but that doesn’t mean that he’s going to give up. Jacoby starts his “get Kylee to be my girlfriend” plan with a dinner at a place that serves her favorite food and believe it or not, you’re gonna swoon here, a horse and carriage ride. Yeah, jealous here. He’s fictional and already is better than my boyfriend. Jacoby is successful, and breaks off a piece of the wall that surrounds Kylee’s heart. But, that doesn’t last long, because Jacoby has some information that throws everything he had worked for out the window. Ashley Suzanne struggled with the ending to this book, but it came out perfectly. Like each book that she has previously published, it ends in such a way that I am okay with it. There’s a definite happily ever after, which who am I kidding, everyone loves. The story flowed really well together. No parts were rushed and each event was given the appropriate amount of description and time spent to cover it. There are some definite WTF moments in there, but it’s Ashley Suzanne, what do you expect? We also get more Mira and Skylar, plus there’s a little bit of Danny. We get to see each character moving on with their life, which makes me extremely happy, as I’ve become attached to them. Love me some Mira and Sky. <3 You’re going to love this book. It’s a definite five star read. I promise. I love Kylee so much because she’s so spunky and fun. It was awesome getting to know her more. You go Ashley Suzanne. Hope there’s more Jacoby and Kylee to come!
I was so excited to get an ARC of Façade, Jacoby and Kylee's story.
Kylee has some issues as she has always been detached from her emotional self. She is feisty and independent, but all of that is a wall that she has built to protect herself. To keep away the only thing that can ruin her; love. She keeps men at a distance but keeps her physical needs in check.
Jacoby is a successful man, who wants nothing more than to move on from their convenient arrangement. Kylee is much more than a bed buddy, she amazes him and he wants her in every way possible.
Their story is touching and heartbreaking. Kylee was learning more and more about Jacoby that was interfering with her willingness to become his girlfriend. To have an actual relationship and not just a few needed orgasms, but what I wasn't prepared for was the twist! I literally had to go back and re-read as I was in such shock. My device actually crapped out on me right in the middle of it and I almost had a complete freak out!
I highly suggest you grab a copy of Façade!! It's HOT, touching and suspenseful. Although it is a standalone it does touch upon the other characters in her previous books. You can check them out too cause if they are as good as this one, your mind will be blown!
I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was lucky enough to be a Beta for Ashley and got to read it before and after she changed it. I am so glad she did! Facade was a roller-coaster of emotion and I enjoyed ever second of Kylee and Jacoby. I like Ashley's books because they are based out of Ann Arbor and Detroit so I can relate to the places she talks about. In this book she even mentions my home town which is brownie points for her! The book has a bit of everyone from the previous books and has a plot twist that is sure to make you say WHAT! Ashley's talent shines in this steamy story and I only see things going up for her.
Thrilled I got the chance to read this one! So here is my review.
Ah-maz-ing! Ashley has done it again, with a drool worthy Jacoby in all his CEO hot-guy goodness! I love the view into the lives of Mira, Skylar, and Danny. You will NOT be disappointed. Also, if you are a fan of Ashley's work (and if you're not, you should be) you know she is the QUEEN of the twist...
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book. I don't even know where to start, except to say Ashley Suzanne is brilliant. Kylee's and Jacoby's story had me cheering them on and gasping in shock. While this book can be read as a stand alone, I recommend that you read the whole Destined series. You won't be disappointed and you'll gain a new favorite author.
Okay, first of all this cover is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Okay, now that I got that out of the way; let's get crackin. I am a HUGE fan of Ashley Suzanne and have been ever since she hit publish on Mirage. This story is my favorite one out of the Destined Series. Readers are introduced to Kylee and Jacoby in Mirage and this novel just hit the spot. I felt like I was watching a movie; glued to the screen and all my popcorn was gone. Yes!! It's just that GOOD!!! Kylee is so dynamic in this book and I'm so happy she got her own story and everyone finally gets to understand her a little better. I loved her personality, her spunk, her demeanor, her hot sex appeal...yeah, she can get it. ;) She's been burned in the past and is skeptical about relationships and avoids them at all costs...until Jacoby walks into her life and awakens her body in more ways than one.
Then there's Jacoby; oh lord! He is a whole other can of worms and GODDAMN!! This man makes my heart melt!! I loved his confidence, his fierceness, his raw alpha vibe, and his "oh-so-sexy-voice"; especially when he calls Kylee, "Red." I loved his devilish yet sexy plan of getting Kylee to finally agree to be his girlfriend..and here I am thinking, "Girl, WTF is your problem? This man is sex on a freakin stick!"
There's also a few bits of Skylar, Mira, and Danny and the reader gets to see how they move on with their lives after the whole ordeal in the previous novels. The story flowed well and it doesn't feel rushed or too short. It's absolutely perfect! The sex scenes are steamy and kinky; just how I like them. The plot is well developed and there's even a little twist; which is a given, since it's an Ashley Suzanne novel.
I would definitely say that this book is by far Ashley's best. The complexity of words chosen to describe the events and characteristics of both characters is unreal. You can definitely tell that she put her all into this book and I assure you; it has paid off! I highly recommend this book and I firmly believe this will be a best-seller and I also believe that Jacoby will become everyone's new book boyfriend; just remember I had him first!! I'd like to thank Ashley Suzanne for allowing me to read this amazing story and I'm seriously praying for some more Jacoby in the near future!!!
ARC provided by author in exchange for honest review.
Wow!!! I’m so happy I got my hands on this one. I was not so patiently waiting for the next book in Ashley Suzanne’s Destined Series, and Facade did NOT disappoint!
Facade is Kylee’s and Jacoby’s story, but we still see Danny, Mira, and Skylar (loooooove Skylar!!). Kylee swears off relationships, and doesn’t want to commit, but Jacoby wants more..
Their story is a crazy roller coaster of emotions. I loved Kylee’s character, and how strong she is, and how she guards her heart, when I found out why she was how she was, it all made sense, no one wants those types of things to happen to them, but I think she could have maybe given Jacoby the benefit of the doubt, I mean I know I would.
Jacoby is HOT, I did get pissed at him a few times during this read, for how he handled things, or how he kept something from Kylee, but he’s a guy.. he doesn’t realize until it’s too late. But man, is he a romantic! The date he took Kylee on made me wanting to date him, and I know he’s not real, but OMG was I swooning over Jacoby.
A part of this book had me re-reading because I was like WTF! But in true Ashley Suzanne fashion, no matter how mad you are, or how heart broken or confused you are, it is all definitely worth it. I should by now learn to expect these types of things from her… I guess maybe I’ll learn next time ;) (probably not)
Unlike Mirage, Facade does not have a cliffhanger. The ending is perfect, and I LOVED how this story ended! I love Jacoby, I loved Kylee, and I can’t wait to see what else is store for these crazy characters of the Destined Series. Ashley Suzanne does an amazing job of pulling you into her stories and doesn’t let go, even after you’ve finished the book. I was up all night reading it, and spent all day thinking about it, before writing this review.
I encourage everyone to read this series! Facade can be read as a stand alone, but if you want the full effect of these characters, I suggest you start with book 1 (Mirage). You will not be disappointed! Ashley Suzanne has a way of drawing her readers in, breaking their hearts, giving them a complete mind f* and then putting you back together completely whole and happy.
Now off to go stalk Ashley’s page to see when she’s releasing another book.
Well she has done it again folks!!! Ashley Suzanne is a brilliant author and her Destined Series is one of my favorites. It all started when I won a copy Mirage from her. I finished that and wanted to hunt her down for more. If you've read it you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't what are you waiting for. Just make sure you click them all you will be hooked. Mirage: Book 1- This one ends with your mouth hitting the floor. Inception: Book 1.5- It gives you what you need to try to make sense of it all. Awakening: Book 2-(My personal favorite, love me some Skylar) This book is a crazy ride but a fantastic journey. (Facade can be read alone but why miss out on all the this)
Now let’s get to the new release which is book 3 in this amazing series, Facade. You meet Kylee and Jacoby in this first part of this series. They have great chemistry and make an amazing couple but something's missing. Well Jacoby is determined to find out exactly what that is. Throughout this book I felt myself relating to Kylee with her tough girl exterior and broken girl interior. We have all been there. Kylee lets her past experiences and personal demons rule her and her heart. Jacoby is an absolutely breathtaking, sweet, alpha male. He is powerful and makes you feel alive by the way he carries himself and takes control which leaves you drooling over the pages. He jumps through many hoops and has to travel through the many obstacles to get what he desires most. No and never are not an option with this man. This book will send your mind on a bender and give you some twist and turns in true Ashley Suzanne style. You know the type where your jaw hits the floor and you’re like WTF just happened yea that LOL. I can't wait for you to get this.
I received an ARC in return for an honest review as part of Ashley’s Street Team.
Façade – what can I say other than Ashley Suzanne you have done it again! I LOVED IT! AMAZING!! A MUST READ!!! Façade is Kylee Anderson’s story from cover to cover while Ashley brings in other parts of the Destined Series family; this book can be read as a standalone (I recommend you read ALL of this series). We get to know Kylee quite well in this novel; she is sidesplitting, smart, sassy, sarcastic, and sexy!
Many emotions were experienced through her story (just like all of the Destined Series). I was in awe, I was frustrated, and I was humored to the point of full on belly laughs. I even cried. Ashley has a way of pulling you into a book, allowing you to live on the pages, and taking a ride of a lifetime. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you don’t, and that is exactly why Ashley Suzanne captures 100% of my attention every book!
We all know Ky has a very interesting take on relationships, but sex on legs, Jacoby Roberts, was determined to be the one to open her mind and heart. He wooed her and sexed her (boy did he sex her – HOT DAMN). All the while, Kylee was finding herself, her purpose in life, and trying to fight the feelings she knew she had for Jacoby.
This book is far above five (5) stars on my scale, not just, because I am #teamginger, but because not one time did, I lose focus or the desire to stop reading. I could not put Façade down, and I know you will not be able to either!
I was given an eARC in exchange for an honest opinion. I read the first two novels and novella in the last two days-so I was completely immersed in the Destined world. And I loved it! Jacoby is a successful businessman who knows what he wants-namely a real relationship with Kylee. He's crazy romantic and sin in a suit! Kylee is Mira's bestie. Sassy, sexy and confident...except when it comes to ways of the heart. She's more of a get in, get hers and get out kinda girl. No relationships. Then she realizes that what she feels for Jacoby is different-but can she really trust him? This was a frustrating issue for me-he has never given her a reason to mistrust him yet he tales all the crap for it. She is this amazing, outspoken woman that is scared of what?!?! Heartbreak? Loss? It just didn't jive with all of Kylee's other actions. Not to forget her crazy overreacting streak! The twist will have you flipping back and forth - I wasn't sure what I had done while reading it and then...ohhhhhh...well played Ashley Suzanne! Loved the banter, the friendships are as strong and amazing as the earlier books. Also loved Kylee's love of all of the same books that I love! A really great read!
“I point to Mira, who’s frantically kissing Skylar like he’s getting ready to board a space shuttle destined to save the world from falling asteroids.”
“If having a boyfriend means being hot for him at all hours of the day, I’m pissed I didn’t sign up sooner.”
“My heart’s beating so quickly, I can feel it in my fingertips.”
“Someone very wise told me, your spouse will disappoint you, your kids will eventually leave you and your parents will eventually die; the only thing you can do in life is to do what makes you happy… let me make you happy.”
“Licking my lips in appreciation, Jacoby turns around and catches me red-handed, staring at him like he’s a Thanksgiving turkey and I’m a ravenous Pilgrim.”
My Review:
Façade was by far the most sensual book of the series to date, but then, given that the main character is more than a bit of a ho, I was expecting this. What I was not expecting, however, was that I would care about and enjoy this couple as much as I did. The writing was again touching, emotive, and evocative, as well as being highly sensual. I found it highly entertaining, and while it was full of the feels, it was often humorous. I enjoyed it beginning to end.
another great read yet again, no surprise since I loved her last books.
I read and ARC of this book and let me tell you if you have read Ashley Suzannes other books you will love just as much. This is Kylee and Jacoby's story. Kylee has her walls up and is affraid to offer more in a relationship. She is in the mind set that this is all I can offer you to Jacoby who is friends with benefits type of relationship. Little did she know that Jocoby had different plans for her to show her shes capabable of more feeling. Wait what is that another twist just like in Mirage yep, she did it again in such a good way. I was surpirsed but wouldnt expect anything less as thats what I love about her writing. Your reading it then bamb it hits you but then your just drawn right back in. Dont worry book had a fablous ending to me. Very pleased whith Facade and cant wait to see what in store for us next.
When I first read this book I was realizing that Kylee was just like me. I was so captivated by this book because I had a connection with Kylee and Jacoby. I felt like what I wanted to say back then was in this book. I read this story with all the distractions and came to a lot of realizations along the way as Kylee did. I loved how Jacoby loved his girl and he loved hard. Kylee was fighting the love she had for Jacoby but realizing that she should not have to. By the time I got towards the end of the book all of a sudden I was in tears and I didn't even know it. To me this is Ashley's Best.Book.Ever. I say that because you can tell how much time that was taken into this book and that is something I can truly appreciate as reader because it keeps you wanting more. Even though the rating is 5 prefect stars, I would say the rating on this is priceless
I received this book to give my honest review of it and let me just say WOW! I loved the first 3 books in this series and honestly, I didn't think this would be as good as any of those and I loved those! But this was a great book!!! Ashley Suzanne totally did it again!
Kylee is different then Mira but yet shares similar qualities. This book is different because Kylee is different, but has the same spirit as the others! I love her boldness! And then the twists....oooohh, loved it!
I don't want to give anything anyway, but for those who were wondering, the other characters are completely there and you get a little of their story too!! Oh and I can't wait for the next one!!!
Ok, that's all I am going to say, just wait till you read it, I loved it!
I received an ARC of Facade since I'm on Ashley Suzanne street team which is awesome and I love her she is a Amazing author and I knew that I would love Facade as much as I loved Mirage, Inception, and Awakening. This is Kylee and Jacoby's story and it is fanfreakintastic! I loved all the refrences from other books I love that she threw in there from the Rebel Walking Series to the Evolve Series. This book is something you just have to read as soon as it releases you will love it I just know you will. :) #teamkyleeandjacoby #destinedseries #ashleysuzanneisawesome
I was excited to receive an ARC of Facade. This is the third book in the Destined Series, but it centers around Kylee (Mira's best friend) and her relationship, or lack of, with Jacoby. As Jacoby does his best to try and convince Kylee that he loves her and will never hurt her, Ashley threw in a twist that made me go back in the story to make sure I wasn't crazy. I love when she does that! Ashley you did a great job with this one!
I was so lucky to win an ARC of this book. Whoa People, this book was great, I really enjoyed Kylee's story with Jacoby and why she was the way she was about relationships. And yes Ashley again blows our minds with these ploy twists and I did have to go back a reread as I shall again. This is a great novel and I cannot wait till Epiphany :).
The main characters in this book were side characters in the previous books to the Destined Series.
Although I did enjoy Mira, I must say Kylee is way cooler. I love that she is so tough and takes what she wants from life. Usually you read about a bad boy being tamed by a good girl, but Kylee makes no claims to being one of those good girls. She's ballsy with no apologies. How refreshing! Even though she does sometimes tend to go past gutsy into the crazy zone, you still gotta love her.
I joke, hoping he doesn't see through me and notice the scared girl hiding behind this well manicured facade.
Jacoby is so amazing. I just love him. He's the total package with looks and wealth (and he's a sex god), but his personality is what really gets me. Kylee has a tendency to spaz sometimes, yet he's so patient and understanding. He's straightforward and always tries to talk it out. It's great reading about an alpha male that still treats the girl he loves like an equal, not a submissive and not a princess, but like a significant other with respect. The sex was super super steamy hot and blessedly doesn't contain all those cringe-worthy sex words we all hate to read. Very yum and also realistic (not those scenes that could never happen in real life).
Another thing I must say is...this is Ashley. If you read her previous books, you know she sometimes likes to throw in a twist or two... Also I love the inner monologues. I can hear them spoken as I read them, so funny.
"Red, how about we stop writing manuals and start making memories."

***ARC was given by author for an honest review***
Here we finally have Kylee's story , and I say finally because I have wanted to know her past so I could figure out her deal. Kylee is awesome I loved her right along , she is feisty and hot and tons of fun !! But here we get the other side of Kylee and it is very easy to relate to her on all levels.
We first met Jacoby in book 1 when he was with Mira , or so we thought !! I loved him then but since I was Team Skylar I did not really have room for Jacoby. But heck now I am so Team Jacoby !! He is such a great guy , he is genuine , a hard worker and he is so determined in all he does. He is down right hot in the sack and so in love.
Kylee has realized she feels so much more for Jacoby than she wants to admit and Jacoby has no problem admitting how he feels about Kylee, but he knows this will push her away so he tries his hardest to win her little by little. Finally we find out what happened to Kylee to make her feel this way about relationships and Jacoby tries his hardest to make her see that not all relationships are like that. Just when he thinks he may have her we find out a few things that Jacoby was hiding , but they are major and may just send Kylee running. What will Kylee be running too ?? She has finally decided what she wants to do in life and it is in doing that that she realizes how right Jacoby is for her !!
I would be surprised if anyone could sense this twist coming on. Again Ashley Suzanne has totally shocked me !! I cannot imagine what she will do next but I have to say I will be here waiting to find out and I bet I wont even know until it hits me , she is that good !!
I have to be honest here. I started writing this review while I was reading Facade and I had to change my opinions several times until I reached the end! This is what I love about Ashley Suzanne. She can throw twists into a story that you'd never expect until it's right on top of you. Word of warning to those who read the last chapter first - it won't work with this novel.
Kylee finally matures and sees the perfect man waiting right in front of her. This best friend of Mira's was a character I never really got in the first three (or should I say two-and-a-half?) books. She was so flighty, shallow, and tactless. The truly good point for me was she would kill for Mira, who needed all the support she could get during her recovery. I especially hated the way she treated Jacoby.
Now Jacoby isn't a perfect man either, but he has a lot to redeem him. Sexy, sweet, thoughtful - makes you wonder what he saw in Kylee. But then the plot twists - and bends yet again - and Kylee has very well hidden depths after all.
Ashley Suzanne got me floored with the Peroxide Princess. That was a quirk I didn't expect - thank you, I loved it! And the ending? Again, something I didn't expect. Well, not in the way that it was written, anyway.
The only thing I don't really like about this? How I am hearing about Danny less and less. I know these books were written because of him so maybe he's about to be the hero in an upcoming novel (Ha! Hint, hint, Ms Suzanne!) where I hope he gets the ending and relationship he should have.
But, seriously. Next book, please! Will there be one? What happens to Danny?!?!
GAHHHHH!!!! I have been waiting for this FOREVER!! I was soo excited that Kylee and Jacoby are finally getting their story told. I really didn't like Jacoby that much so I was happy that he was getting a chance to redeem himself.
We start off where some stuff took place in Inception and I loved getting to see Kylee's POV from things. Kylee has parent issues and relationship issues and when she walked in on a bombshell of a woman in Jacoby's home she decided she would be casual with him. Well Jacoby wants more and he fights like hell to get more. This book was AMAZING and soo much better than I thought it could be. AGAIN Ash MIND FUCKS US!!! how does she do it!?!?! I was like DAMN WOMAN on the kill Danny train and then BAM!!!!!!! good Lord woman...you are going to make me stroke out one day soon. PLEASE no surprises in the last book LOL. This woman is the queen of surprises, no lie. I can't really give anything else away, you will have to read it to see how it all ends. I LOVED IT! I loved seeing more Sky and Mi, all those interactions. Loved having Jacoby's POV and seeing and feeling how he felt for Kylee and just situations period. An amazing book! Ashley delivers. But was there ever a question she wouldn't?
"You found your one and only, don't run away from it."
"You know you're mine even if there's no title on us, right?"
If I didn't suspect Skylar may kill people for a living, I would kiss the hell out of Mira. ( ^favorite part! LOL )
"That's what love is; being there for that person even when it's killing you to not actually be with them."
Seriously I cannot get enough of this author. No, really I am her stage 5 clinger stalker. Her books are so addictive.
We meet Kylee in Mirage and shes stays consistent in the others as well, being the BFF and all. She is a smart mouthed, take charge kind of girl, she goes after what she wants when she wants and exactly what all of us LOVE in a BFF. Well Facade is her book (FINALLY)....
We knew she had secrets but had no idea what they could be. Well in the authors standard writing style try to expect the unexpected. She always throws in twists (which I personally love) and you are never bored. So many HEA's can get redundant, but you wont get that vibe with the Destined Series and this book does not fall far from the mother tree. Jacoby is smoking ALPHA hottness wrapped up in a fine suit. (Catch that? A BUSINESS SUIT! Hmmmmm do women actually enjoy books about sharp dressed men? Bahaha OK I'll stop) He's a successful business man during the day and tatted demanding bad boy at night. MEOW! How could Kylee possibly resist. Her demons run deep though and her walls seem like Fort Knox at times.
This book is a great journey and for us die hard Destined series fans it was much needed and highly demanded. I thought I would kill Kylee sometimes and felt so bad for her other times. I really felt bad for Jacoby at times as well. He is persistent though, thank goodness.
Great book. Highly recommend this book and the entire Destined series. Again, you can read as a stand alone but you will absolutely be missing out. I DON'T recommend that. #teamskylar
Yes!! I absolutely loved the story! Jacoby, an incredibly successful CEO with an Alpha Male type of personality lingering underneath the surface. Which this paired perfectly with Kylee. She is so much an Alpha female. Just for fun, no strings attached, and she is stunning and sexy! I love her witty comebacks and how she feels she can wrap any man around her finger, except Jacoby. He is changing her game and doing it with such tact and ease. The supporting characters are a riot as well. Mira and Skylar are a great compliment to the story. They are funny, supportive and giving Kylee a glimpse into what life could be like, if she changed her slutty ways. I was laughing, then biting my lip, then tapping my foot hopping that Kylee would see the light. The chemistry between Jacoby and Kylee is out of this world!! To get that emotion and intensity rolling through words...Incredible! Fantastic! Out of This WORLD~~
Kylee doesn't do relationships, she doesn't think that she is good enough to date. So Kylee only does casual sex. She has had a casual relationship with Jacoby for six months. She roomed with Mira. Until Mira moved out. Tells Jacoby that she wants to be a writer. Jacoby gets Kylee to agree to go on a date with him. The date takes place on Christmas Eve, He takes Kylee to an Arabic restaurant, after the restaurant he rented a horse-drawn carriage. Kylee tells Jacoby that nobody has done anything like this for her before. While Kylee was away at her parents for Christmas he and Mira made her old room into a space for Kylee to write. He tells Kylee that he has a six-year-old daughter Shelby. Mira is one of Kylee's best friends. Works for Jacoby. Goes out with Skylar. Skylar is Mira's boyfriend. Kylee's friend and is a biker.
Facade is Jacoby and Kylee’s (Mira's best friend) story, but you also still get to see Danny, Mira, and Skylar.
Kylee is a strong, sassy, independent beautiful redhead who swore off relationships. She guards her heart so she doesn’t get hurt.
Jacoby is a sweet, romantic guy. All he wants is to settle down with Kylee. He does everything he can to knock down the walls she built.
Their story is a crazy emotional roller coaster. Parts of the story had me re-reading because I was like WTF! Dont even get me started on the sex scenes...they were hot and steamy;) This story had my pulse racing, heart melting and face blushing!
This was such a great read I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down. I encourage everyone to read this series!
This is Kylee and Jacoby's story. We meet both characters is Mirage the first book in this series. Kylee is Mira's bestie. Kylee is a very strong, independent woman who has built this wall up around her and refuses to do relationships. Jacoby is a hot, swoon worthy, great guy who wants nothing more than to break that wall around Kylee's heart and have a relationship. Throw in insecurities, doubts, jealousy, a past and of course Ashley Suzanne's wonderful twist and you have a Angsty, Hot, Can't put down love story. We also get to see more of Mira, Sklyar and Danny. Great characters, great series!!
I never really go and write out reviews usually just rate them after I am done with the book. But this book NEEDS to have great reviews so the readers know that they are getting a great read!
You really should start with the beginning of the series so you can understand the rest of the characters, but this can be read as a stand alone. For me seeing what was going on with Kylee and Jacoby was exactly what I wanted. And the plot twist is not what you would normally expect, and it was a fantastic surprise.
I can't wait for the next novel, I am hoping it has the "after the HEA" for both Mira and Kylee :)
I love Ashley Suzanne and how she created these amazing books for readers to enjoy! She enjoys creating characters that you love and presents books that you fall for and get behind. She gets you invested in relationships and then she switches it up and confuses you and makes you wonder what the hell just happened.....but she always pulls it together and makes you happy in the end! She makes you wonder which way you would have preferred the story to go. She is an amazing author. You never know what you are going to get with her! Bravo Ashley Suzanne! I am so glad that I discovered your books. I can't wait to see what you have in store for me next!
I have really enjoyed this series. My biggest complaint with Facade would be Kylee. I understand she's been through stuff in the past that makes her not trust men, but her internal struggle gets a little old after a bit. It seems as though Ashley enjoys writing that one big shock. It worked great on Mirage, but on Facade it was more confusing than anything. I did love Jacoby. He and Mira saved the book for me. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. I would recommend this book.
