The story of Scott and Katie continues...they seemed so happy but life with Katie is full of surprises for Scott.
Exciting twists n turns in their relationship certainly has you wondering about her and keeps you turning the page.
Actioned packed adventure in Russia as Scott goes to rescue a hostage.... a thrilling ride.
Once again Scotts story is to be continued.... would of loved him to have his HEA....maybe in the next book....hope so

This second book in the 'Kilted Desire' series - 'Russian Roulette' once again had lots of action & betrayal for our Hero, Scott.
Still recuperating from his major injury in the first book of this series, Scott tries to stay on the sidelines as a consultant rather than being involved in the thick of things. However, this was not to be.
This book has lots of action, intrigue, betrayal and even some sensual romance with the new love of his life thrown in for good measure. All in all, I very much enjoyed the book.
I did not rate this book as high as the first book due to some very minor grammatical/spelling errors and a couple of missing or misplaced words here & there. In addition, I really disliked the ending of the book as it felt, in my opinion, that we were left with an unfinished book that left me hanging. However, this abrupt ending does indicate that there will be another book coming in this series.

I've read Kilted Desire" Russian Roulette in just a few hours. Couldn't find the heart to put it away, couldn't find my heart at all for the few hours while I was reading, it was broken, shattered and at the same time beating too fast, in time with Scott McLaren's actions. I felt that the author A.B.Mckinley did more than write his experience in two books, I felt that he shared a part of himself with us, his readers, embarking us around the world in his exhilarating adventures that even the most imaginative writer cannot conceive, cause many times reality beats fiction. Fights, love, betrayal, friendship, principles, and life lessons are all combined into an whirlwind of action, emotion and passion. Russian Roulette is definitely going along Sands of Betrayal in my favorites self, a re-read for sure, as for the stars...I think it deserves a constellation!!!!

This is the second book in the Kilted Desire series. Scott is still recuperating from his major injury in the first book of this series and his break-up with Katie and tries to stay on the sidelines as a consultant rather than being involved in the action. He soon finds out however that this is not to be. A.B. McKinley gives us action, betrayal, intrigue and new love for our hero Scott. I loved this second book as much as the first one and could not put it down. I just had to know what happened next. So yet again an absolute must read and I can't wait for the third book to become available.

For starters, you absolutely have to read Book One first or you will not understand what is happening in Book 2. The books have an interesting combination - a Scottish author who writes in a Scottish brogue.
This book will intrigue men who like fast action as Scott battles the Russian Mafia. Women will love the romance and sex scenes. Yes, sex written by a man. They are hot and sensual and very well written.
I highly recommend this book for both sexes - male and female. You will not be disappointed.

Once again, I couldn't put the book down. The betrayal, the romance and travel! It had me all over the place with my emotions! Another great read and I am looking forward to the next book!

Well I am well and truly hooked on this series!
This book, number 2 in the series, is even better than the first - and the first one was fantastic! I couldn't put it down - ok I did, but with great reluctance.
In the past I have always stayed away from male authors with anything containing romance. But do you know what? This guy gets it - he really does! The emotion I felt was real. Action from beginning to end; romance; betrayal; it is all here and so very well delivered! Not one aspect is over or under done - the balance is perfect!
I am not going to retell the story here, other reviewers have done it and the synopsis tells you what you need to know. You are just going to have to get it yourself to find out the rest.
It is very well written - the spelling is perfect and grammar is good...and the body on the cover is his! Yep A. B. McKinley in the flesh (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)
You could read this as a stand alone book but I would advise you to read the first one. There are a lot of details in this one that will make more sense if you do.

Scott Maclaren wants a break and he definitely deserves one after all he went through in the Middle East. But just when he thinks things will get back to normal, everyday activity his world is once again turned upside down. Will this hunky Scotsman ever get a break?
After all he went through before, he decided he was done with that life and wanted a break from all the war and battles. But with his Special Forces skills something is bound to come up, and Scott is once again thrown back into the world he is trying so hard to forget. What will happen this time with our favorite Scotsman and will he be able to finally settle down and have a normal life?
Mercy….I am almost speechless but I will force the words out. After reading book one yesterday I knew I had to purchase book 2. I had NO PLANS of starting it yesterday. I was going to give my over heated brain a break from all the hot Scotsman. That didn’t last maybe an hour and I was right back to reading and absorbed again. A.B. McKinley has put together another very well written book and it will be hard to wait for the release of book 3. The action in this book is amazing and the romance is hot. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a sense of adventure! This book will have you in its grasp from page one!

Book 2 picks right up where book 1 leaves off. You’ll go through many unexpected emotions right from the beginning as Scott has to deal with the ultimate betrayal, again!
Scott is still recovering from his head injury and trying to move on from Katie’s betrayal. He has started a new life for himself in Ohio and has a new job. Out of the blue Scott receives a call from a friend of Brittany’s father (from book 1), asking him to fly to California. He needs some advice about some trouble his son may be into. Scott is propelled right back into danger!
You meet new characters in this book as Scott travels to Russia. The Russian mob, a friend’s betrayal and a new love interest will keep you mesmerized and holding your breath. The danger and action is intense and will keep you wanting more. It will be impossible for you to put this book down!

I read Kilted Desire 2: Russian Roulette by A.B. McKinley and loved it! Lots of action, adventure, romance and mayhem. This book is just as good as book one. No let me rephrase that, book two is much, much better than book one.
The story starts with Scott and Katie New Year's morning and takes off from there. There is passion and betrayal; action and intrigue. What follows is fast paced, exciting, scary and dangerous with a little romance thrown in for good measure. You MUST read this book to find out what happens with the intrepid, brave Scotsman, Scott Maclaren. Hopefully, this is the second in what will be a long series of action/adventure books featuring Maclaren and his Scottish mate. They make an excellent team.

After the first book I thought I knew what I was getting into but I was wrong...this story was so much better than the first! Was it just more well written or perhaps the plot just more exciting? I don't really care, I was just super impressed. I'll admit I read it in one sitting, unable (or willing!) to put it down because everytime I thought, "oh, just one more chapter..." something would happen and I refused to wait until later to find out.

Russian Roulette by A B McKinley is a very well written book he goes into great detail in the book and draws from his time in the special forces there's lots action drama and heartache in the second book in this series we can only hope he fine normality and peace in the next book because by god he deserves it

Really liked this book also,was eager to get into it went from book 1 straight into 2.
From the start I was hooked and stayed that way through out the whole story... didnt disappoint with the action and love scenes, was bouncing out of my skin from start to finish.
