The couple: Austin and Allie

Romance trope: friends to lovers
Series: Whiskey Men
Length: 248 pages

Plot: Austin has been in love with his best friend Allie forever, and now she's back home, pregnant with someone else's baby, and all he wants to do is take care of her. She believes that he only feels sorry for her though and so won't give in to his attempts to help her - until her baby's health depends on it.

Commentary: This is one of those "just tell each other already" kind of scenarios. I was surprised at Austin's reveal: . But they were both in love with the other thinking the other person would never feel the same, so they wasted a lot of time! Austin was very sweet with the baby though and that, more than anything, probably finally convinced Allie that he was for real.

This was actually a refreshing read from this author! I enjoy her books like a cup of coffee in the morning. I know what I’m getting into and will be moderately happy with my choice but I really liked the spin on a pregnant bestie who needs to take care of herself or risk putting her life and unborn baby’s life in jeopardy.

“I have looked at you, Ally, and just because you’re pregnant, it doesn’t make you any less desirable. If anything…” I take a deep breath and let it out slowly. “If anything, you’ve always been sexy, but seeing you like this just brings out something in a man. So yeah, the idea of you having a date is not outrageous. I just hope if you plan on dating someone, well, I hope it’s me.”

I loved the idea that a woman is not over with her life just because she got pregnant and the father isn’t willing to be in the picture.

Austin was firm but loving and so patient while Ally figured out her won insecurities. Also, who still is head over heels in love with oldest brother Ford and his solid advice! Quick read and HEA.

Take her some ice cream and flowers when you go home. Then put her favorite TV show on and lie down and watch it with her. It will make her feel better and you’ll get some brownie points.”

4.5 ⭐️ bc this book hit the spot.

With the premise of angst, this book was surprisingly sweet & felt akin to being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket. ☕️🎀🧸💞

We’ve got Austin whose been in love with his best friend Ally forever, but too scared to make a move. Then we’ve got Ally whose been in love with Austin forever but doesn’t think he feels the same.

So when Ally winds up single & pregnant, Austin does the logical thing and proposes. He begs Ally to marry him & vows to keep the baby as his own.

Gosh, this book was so so sweet, protective, and caring. I ate it up! 🩷

NOTES:
-main character names are Austin & Ally…lol, anyone else used to watch that show?

-There was a level of depth missing but I enjoyed the book nonetheless

Tropes & Such:
-friends to lovers
-kinda second chance
-found family
-small town
-billionaire (H)
-no ow drama, no cheating
-slight om drama (baby’s dad; no feelings involved but he does pop up as a nuisance)
-Hea

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a little longer than I like to read, but I really enjoyed it.

Austin and Ally are best friends growing up. Austin is always there for Ally. When Ally gets pregnant with another man's baby he tells her he wants nothing to do with the baby or her. Austin steps in and tells Ally he's going to marry her and he's going to be the baby's father. Austin tries to give Ally some time and space to make her understand. Ally works as a hairdresser, she's on her feet all day long. Austin books his appointment under his middle name so that Ally doesn't cancel on him. Austin wants Ally to move in with him and marry him, but she needs some time. Ally finds out from her doctor that she needs to go on bed rest but she can't afford to. Ally keeps working, until her doctor calls Austin to find out why she's still working when he's the father of the baby. Austin goes around town telling everyone that's Ally's going to have his baby even though he's not the biological father. When Austin finds out that Ally is suppose to go on bed rest he sprints into action. Austin packs his things and goes over to Ally's house. Ally lives in the trailer park her whole neighborhood is going downhill fast. Ally finds out that Austin is going to take care of her and she objects. Ally wants to know why Austin always has to step in and save her. Austin has taken some time off work, he works with his brother's but runs the distillery. Austin cooks dinner for Ally and cleans up after her, she's on bed rest. Austin sits with Ally and pulls her feet into his lap and rubs them. Austin tells Ally he'll make her come, she doesn't want to have her best friend see her like that so she objects. Austin tells her she needs a release and he'll take care of it for her. Austin rubs up and down her legs until Ally gives in. Austin pleasures Ally and when he's done she finds him hard. Ally ask Austin why he's hard, he tells her he's always like that around her. After they fall asleep they are woken by Austin's car alarm going off. Austin goes out to check on what's going on and he tells Ally to call his brother Huddy Coming Home. When Ally looks out she sees two guys fighting with Austin, she grabs her baseball bat and goes out hitting one of them. The guy goes after Ally and Austin is able to get to him before he gets to her. Austin has both guy on the ground when Huddy shows up along with the cops. The two guys are arrested. Austin tells Ally she was suppose to stay inside, he goes inside and packs all her things. Austin calls Ally's doctors and takes her into the hospital to see her doctor. When Austin finds out her blood pressure is high the doctor wants her to spend the night in the hospital. Austin stays the night at the hospital with Ally. The following day Ally is put on bed rest she's not to leave the bed for anything. Austin takes Ally to his house and puts her in his bed. Ally finds out that Austin is remodeling his spare bedroom so she figures that's why he put her in his bed. Austin goes to bed right next to Ally every night. Austin tells Ally he wants her to marry him, so that the baby has his last name when it's born. Ally doesn't see why Austin wants to marry her. Austin spends the next two weeks with Ally making sure she stays on bed rest. Austin needs to go into work so he calls Elle, Hubby's wife to come over and spend some time with Ally. Austin goes into work finding out everything is being managed without him. When is brother Ford Something Real sees him he tells Austin he wants to talk to him. When Austin goes and talks to Ford he tells him everything is running smoothly. Ford tells Austin that's not why he wanted to talk, he wants to know how Ally and the baby are doing. Austin fills his brother in and Ford tells him if he's needs anything he can call one of his brother's, that family comes first. While Ally is home she finds out that Austin bought her bags of clothes. Elle's helps Ally look at all the things Austin bought for her then arranges them in the closet for her. Austin comes home with flowers and ice cream for Ally and then she thanks him for all the clothes and gifts he bought for her. When Austin wakes up to Ally pleasuring him he pulls her off of him, he tells her she can't do that until the doctor gives her the all clear. At Ally's appointment she needs to stay on bed rest but she's can have sex. Austin and Ally drive home, he pleasures her then they make love. Ally gets a phone call from the biologically father wanting to met with her, she heads to the whistler. Ally is shocked now the biological father wants custody of the baby when it's born. Ally is so upset she leaves and calls Austin, he's working but he tells her he'll be right there. Austin comes to find Ally sitting in her car, he picks her up and puts her in his SUV then drives home. When Austin gets Ally home he holds her in his lap, she finally tells him what happened. Austin tells Ally they need to get married, to cover their basis. Ally agrees to marry Austin if it will keep her daughter safe. When Ally heads to the doctor's office she finds out that her blood pressure is up and she dilated. The doctors want to deliver the baby, so Austin takes her into the hospital. After a few hours Ally delivers their daughter, all of Austin's brother's are there. After a few days in the hospital Ally and Kennedy are released. Austin spends some time with his daughter until she needs her mother. Ally gets a phone call and Austin answers it when he sees who it is. The biological father wants to talk to Ally, but Austin tells him to met him at his lawyers office. Austin calls Huddy and asks him to stay at his house to watch over Ally and Kennedy. Austin calls Ford and asks him to met him at his lawyers office. When the biological father comes in Austin tells him to sign the paperwork his lawyer has drawn up, he refuses so Austin offers him money. The biological father signed after Austin gives him money, Ford, Beau Forever Mine and Lucas Reluctant Husband all show up to support Austin. The biological father tells Austin he didn't want anything to do with his daughter he just wanted the money. Austin tells him in the paperwork he can have not contact with Ally or Kennedy and he can't come back to Whiskey Run. When Austin gets home, Ally runs and jumps into his arms. Austin tells Ally the biological father signed the paperwork he'll be out of their lives. Ally finds out that Austin gave him money and she's shocked he would do that. Austin tells Ally he loves her, and Ally tells him she loves him. Austin tells Ally about his accident he has in high school and that he can never have children that's why he felt he was never good enough for her. Ally's always wanted a family and Austin couldn't giver her one. Ally tells Austin she still would have loved him, but things happened the way they did. Ally tells Austin they have their little family and thats all that matters. Ally decided to go back to work but she only works one day a week, while Austin stays home with Kennedy. When Ally gets home she finds out that Natalie Forever Mine had their baby she wants Austin to go to the hospital to see his family. Austin tells her he has his family right in his arms. They both have everything they ever wanted right here. It was a long time getting here but it was all worth it.

This is book number 5 of the Whiskey Men series and focuses on Austin and Ally. They have been best friends since middle school and both wanted more than friendship from each other but held back from what they wanted for different reasons. When Ally ends up pregnant by someone else, Austin finally decides to go after what he wants. He is quick to claim Ally and the baby as his to anyone that will listen in town but he has to work a bit to convince Ally to marry him. When the opportunity presents itself, Austin is finally able to get the opening he needs to finally get what he wants. I loved how Austin went after the future he has wanted since he was a kid and didn't stop at anything to finally get it. This was a great story and the perfect addition to the series.

Not my favorite

I was very hesitant about this book when I read the synopsis. Unfortunately, it went the way I thought. I don't understand how come she couldn't be independent and own the shop vs working paycheck to paycheck. Living in a rundown trailer park with a loser baby daddy. In every way we could imagine, she had to be saved. Ms. Ford would have done better if the father passed away in an accident or something vs the jerk that was Kennedy's father. I appreciate reading about a strong woman facing issues on her way to the dreams, but jeez. This was way too much saving for me.

Austin and Ally have been best friends since jr. high school. There isn’t one thing, Austin wouldn’t do for, Ally if possible. But, she just couldn't allow him to help, her with this. It was too much and she could never allow him to ruin, his life now after all he has done for her in their past. But, for him to go around telling everyone, that the baby is his and they are getting married. When in their small town, she already knows for sure they are looking and gossiping about her anyway, under normal circumstances. But now, to be trapping the last of, the infamous Blaze brothers she just can’t do it.

Not once in all the years, they’ve known each other, did he once look at her like she, “Hung the moon.” For years she has wanted, Austin to look at and feel for her, the way she feels about him. However, that was never to happen. Now she gets knocked up by another man, who denies it’s his and her existence in, Whiskey Run seems even more daunting.

Ally came from the wrong side of the tracks, for lack of a better way to say it. But, when she and, Austin met in middle school it was an instant friendship. She was trailer trash as they were quick to say, and he was one of, the Blaze Brothers, that are Whiskey Royalty. The minute he heard the pain in her voice, that the sperm donor wanted nothing to do with her, or the baby he jumped on it.

Spreading the word to anyone who would listen, they were getting married, and she was carrying his baby. One small problem, he neglected to tell her, the plan first. Oops! He knows she thinks he’s doing it out of obligation, but it's not. It's absolutely, not. He is deeply and madly in love with Ally, too. It's just that, he knows her, she’s stubborn. Also, she would never believe he loves her when he was, too chicken to tell her all the years before being pregnant.

It was going to require baby steps, to win her heart. It isn’t until, Hippa goes out the window, that it was just two college friends talking. Or rather, one listening while the other chewed, Austin out for allowing Ally to pull all the weight, alone. Austin is told calling dibs on a woman means, you are there for her when she’s endangering her life and that of her baby. It also means you are there at every visit. Austin knew he had no more time to give her he had, to make a change and do it his way.

Loved this story overall. Frustrated with the lack of ability these two grown adults had at using words to speak their truths to one another.

*spoilers* Having read all the books in this series, it was known that Austin felt more for Ally than friendship and that she was in special circumstances and also Austin is not the one who got ger pregnant, he is determined to marry her. Ally has been hiding out, thinking she is pretty much on her own, besides Austin’s friendship. The one who got her pregnant left, she is not married and expects people to gossip, but that has not happened. As soon as she told Austin about her situation, he told her and veryone they are getting married and the baby is theirs. They have been best friends since middle school, but Ally never had the feeling to fit in. He comes from one of the richest family in the state and she had no family to rely on and lives in a trailer park, which of course does not make her less valueable and Austin and his whole family adore her. She does not want to marry him, thinking he does it out of obligation for their friendship and his need to look out for her, not because he wants to or has feelings for her, like she has for him. But he is in love, tryed to give her space, but now time is up and and he want her and the baby to become his, She has withdrawn the last month and sometimes it is hard to find the right balance between being persistent and respecting the other. Will she be able to see that him wanting her is not some kind of pity, but because he is deeply in love with her? He kept something from her all this years, the reason why he did not pursue her until now, will she stay with him, if she learns the truth?
This friends to lovers story has such well written characters. Somehow it might seem a little cliché, like the rich best friend has been hidden feelings, with the financially poor girl, who is pregnant and on her own. But somehow, like nearly always with Hope Ford, it has the special something for me, touching the heart and the characters have depth to them. Also the family aspect and how they learn that it is strength, not weakness, to seek help in each other. I am only sad, that this is last brother in this series. The stories are so well connected and the women all become friends, but there was hope to meet them again at the end of the story, can’t wait for sweet addiction.

Austin & Ally have been best friends since middle school. They’ve also been secretly in love with each other for years. Both have held back their feelings to preserve their friendship, but also because both are dealing with some serious insecurities. But everything changes when Ally becomes pregnant and the father wants nothing to do with the baby or her. Austin sees his chance to finally have what he’s been longing for. But does he go about it the right way? No, he just bulldozes his way in, claiming Ally and the baby as his. Oh and telling her (and everyone who will listen) that they are getting married and going to be a family!

Ally is super independent, and very resistant to this nonsense Austin is spouting. She secretly hopes it’s true but she believes he’s doing this to fix her problems, like he always has. She doesn’t want his pity, his money, and she certainly doesn’t want him to sacrifice his future by tying himself down with her and the baby. So she avoids him as much as possible. But when pregnancy complications endanger her and the baby, Austin won’t let her avoid him any longer and she’s forced to accept his help, which comes with assistance from the entire Blaze fam. Austin is determined to use this as a way to prove just how good they can be together.

Their relationship gets physical and cranks up the steam, but I wanted to shake them both for still holding so much back from each other. Austin doesn’t want to scare Ally away with his admissions of how long he’s loved her. Ally’s guarding her heart behind those thick walls and can’t let herself entertain any thought that this will last. Eventually Austin will see that she and the baby just aren’t worth saddling himself with for the rest of his life. With the help of all the Blaze bros and their families, they finally get it together.
I loved being able to see how much the brothers have changed through the series and how much closer they all are.
I would love to see Dr (Brandon) Reynolds’s get a book!.

Part of the Whisky Men series each can be read as a standalone with billionaire and a best friend who thought it would never work but fate saw something so much more. Austin and Ally best friends since middle school have been in love with each other for years but of course neither of them was ever going to admit it to the other and their friendship is more important to them to risk admitting their feelings or so they think. Each of them of been dealing with issues since childhood and for years they have healed each other but that didn’t stop their issues for rearing their ugly heads every so often but even through their issues they are still drawn to one another. Ally ends up pregnant and upset because the father wants nothing to do with either her or the baby and so he offers to marry her because all he wants is a family them to be a family informing anyone who will listen to him about them being a family. Although, Ally tries her best to not believe him but in her heart she wants it to be true she doesn’t want him to sacrifice anything for her or attaching his boat to her especially now that she is having a baby but with complications from pregnancy he isn’t walking away in fact she is gaining an entire family not just with him but his whole family as well but will they get their act together, will they open up being honest about their feelings for one another, will they see what everyone else around them see, have seen for years, will they realize there is a baby expecting so much more from them, and can they finally accept he fact they are meant for happiness TOGETHER?

Cute read.
I just wanted a bit more. There were parts with too much detail and then others lacking.
There was too much back and forth on the high blood pressure side we could have skipped and then had a bit more baby daddy drama, scenes with Ally and the other blaze girls . She was pregnant at the same time as Natalie. I would have thought they would be besties, but we only got the first chapter scene. When she went on bed, rest would have been a great time for a scene, but the author went with elle out of nowhere.
I would have loved more scenes of Austin trying to figure out Father Hood. Bonding with the brothers that have kids or.about to have them.
I guess something was edited out because out of nowhere, Ally knew he was re modelling a guest room as a nursery, and that wasn't even told to the reader.
They could have gone baby stuff shopping. There could have been a baby shower that the book club and blaze girls arranged. (They all knew she was poor even with Austin side of things)
Everything was a bit rushed.. she avoided getting married for most of the book, then in a blink, and you miss it, they are married (off page) with no details.
The back and forth of "if he loves me" got old quick he is supposed to be your best friend freakin have a conversation.
Also, what happened with her trailer? Did she sell it??
Nice read, though at least it wasn't covered in smut, which I hate in pregnancy stories. Austin was a great step-up non biological dad.

A fantastic final installment from Hope in the Whiskey Men series. The final book follows Austin and Ally, best friends for years who both feel their love for one another is unrequited. When Ally finds out she's pregnant and the babies father refuses to accept responsibility, Austin steps in seeing it as his chance to finally get his dream girl. However the course of true love never runs smoothly, and Ally doubts the sincerity of his actions and guards her heart. Ultimately true love prevails and they get their well deserved happy ending.

Read this if you enjoy friends to lovers romance, billionaire romance, small town romance, unexpected pregnancy, spicy scenes, pure love, slow burn, unrequited love (for a period of time), best friends, dual pov writing, HEAs.

Hope delivers an amazing final installment, every single book of this series has just gotten better and better. The way the characters are developed, you can't help but feel what they feel. I could wait to read this, and finished it in one sitting. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!.

A fast moving story when Austin learns from his old college roommate Dr. Reynolds that Ally was not doing well physically with her pregnancy, and that he thought Austin cared about her. Austin then proceeded to take off work making plans to take care of the very stubborn Ally. He moved her into his house even his own bedroom as he had loved her for years. She was on complete bed rest so he catered to her every need. He told everyone the baby was his even though it was not, and he planned to marry her. He was as stubborn as she was, and he was going to take care and protect her one way or another. The real father of the baby wanted nothing to do with a baby until he saw a chance to cash out from Austin so he proceeded to scare Ally with a threat of taking the baby from her. Family's everything to the Blaze Brothers one call brings them running to help each other. You mess with one Blaze Brother you mess with them all. Family support was everything. Enjoy a fabulous heartfelt story of family to see if Austin and Ally finally get their happily ever after.

Ally and Austin have been the best of friends since middle school, even though they have very different financial backgrounds. Both have carried a torch for the other for years, but has never had the courage to tell the other how they really feel for fear of losing their friendship. Everyone around them can see that they belong together, and have wondered why they are not more than friends. Ally and Austin have watched each other date others, have held back and buried their jealousy, and tried to move on. Now, at nearly thirty, Ally is pregnant by a man who wants nothing to do with the baby or her. Austin sees this as an opportunity to step up and help his friend. He has told everyone who listen that he is going to marry Ally and has claimed her baby as his own. Ally is nothing if not proud, independent and stubborn. She is not about to marry her best friend and be a burden to him or prevent him from marrying someone he truly loves. Will these two finally reveal their love to each other?

These characters are Best Friends Forever. They have known each other since grade school. Austin has been in love with Ally for years, but they have continued to remain BFF’s instead of becoming more. Ally has no family and Austin’s family has grown up with Ally in their lives. Ally is having a baby and the father is not involved. Austin wants to help Ally and the baby. He wants to marry her but Ally is so stubborn. She doesn’t want it. The characters are original and their relationship is unique. Austin needs to tell Ally how he feels but he is afraid of losing Ally if he voices his love. Ally thinks he keeps saying he wants to marry her and take care of the baby because he feels sorry for her predicament. There are twists and turns and back and forth and the story continues. But there is also caring, tenderness, playfulness, romance and the ultimate - love. This is a fantastic love story! Amazing series!.

I really enjoyed Austin & Allie’s story - this pair just kept getting in their own way and the lack of communication was crazy (but if we hadn’t had that we wouldn’t have had a story, eh?!?)

I loved how Austin was with Allie. How she could think that he was just helping because they were friends is beyond me.

They both had feelings but for their own reasons never said a word to the other….. I felt for Austin and understood his secret but knowing Allie as he did he should have figured out she’d react better than he expected.

Allie had some real insecurities and it was sad how she viewed her part in their friendship / growing relationship.

I’m glad they finally got themselves sorted….

Can I just say how utterly vile Allie’s sperm donor was. You kinda knew what he was up to from the call and I’m putting Allie’s lack of awareness down to raging hormones, especially how she knew him and should have expected what he was all about.

I enjoyed the family interaction and support and I’m gonna go back and read the other brothers books as soon as I can!!

Always Yours, the fifth book in Hope Ford's phenomenal Whiskey Men series, was well worth the wait. Austin and Ally's story has everything you could want in a romance novel: well-written, a swoon-worthy hero, a strong and independent heroine, some angsty drama, and steamy AF encounters. Austin and Ally have been best friends forever, despite being from opposite sides of the tracks. When she gets pregnant and is abandoned by the father, Austin realizes this is his chance to finally move their relationship from friends to lovers to always. Only Ally doesn't believe he doing anything more than stepping up as the best friend he has always been. Will Austin be able to convince Ally that they are meant to be? An absolute must-read, whether this is your first taste of Ms Ford or you're a rabid fan (like me!).

Happy ending

I really like all the Whiskey series. But I will say, as sweet as the men are this one bothered me because they were best friends but they lacked any kind of communication. And even after his brother tells him he needs to tell her he loves her, he agreed but still didn't tell her... And then also didn't tell her as the h goes into early unexpected labor... And then doesn't tell her until week later when the sperm donor tries to get the baby... Just seemed very weak story when usually Hope Ford puts together a pretty good story and connection between the characters especially for such short books. Just felt disconnected from this because of the insane lack of any kind of communication and honestly I felt the chemistry was off too because of it. I'll still read Hope Ford books but wasn't as big a fan of this "second chance" "friends to lovers" book when that is usually 2 of my fave tropes.

I have enjoyed all of the Blaze men as they have found the loves of their lives. And I enjoyed Austin and Ally's story but the lack of communication and vulnerability between them frustrated me. They are best friends - TALK to each other like best friends. They both kept putting off a really important conversation until the last chapter of the book and that was disappointing.

I loved the chemistry between them but their insecurities really got in the way sometimes. Great interactions with the brothers/wives but again, if Ally was so much a part of the family, why weren't they doing this with her already?

Good story and a great series. Just a few inconsistencies that bugged me. If you have read all of the others, absolutely pick this one up too.

Always Yours is Book 5 of the Whiskey Men series about the Blaze brothers. It's a steamy, friends to lovers, opposites attract, pregnancy romance. Ally is a hairdresser who is single and pregnant. The biological father wants nothing to do with her or her baby. Austin is her hunky billionaire best friend since middle school. Austin has been love with Ally forever and has told Ally he is going to marry her and claim the baby as his. Ally, who is also secretly in love with Austin, is afraid he is only offering to help since they are best friends. Both are also afraid to lose their friendship. Will Austin finally confess his feelings, and will Ally finally accept his help? Their chemistry sizzles, and we get a great HEA in the end. I love this entire series.

I love Austin & Ally’s story. Ally is alone, pregnant and scared. Austin has been her best friend since middle school and has always been there for her. When the biological father doesn’t want anything to do with Ally or the baby Austin steps in. He tells anyone who will listen that he and Ally are getting married and that the baby is his. Ally doesn’t want Austin to ruin his life for her and marry her out of pity. However, Austin has secretly been in love with Ally for years but been too afraid to tell her. Can their friendship stand a romance? Does Ally have feelings for Austin? This is such a sweet story. Austin is such a alpha male protector and he is tired of putting his feelings for Ally aside. Expect best friends turn lovers, steam, chemists, and love.

Always Yours is book 5 in the Whiskey Men Series. This book could be summed up with a few words, a lack of communication.
Overall, the story was good. I have loved this series, and this author is one of my favorites. But the emphasis on their friendship made the lack of communication hard for me to understand, especially when I think it would have made the story better. It is sweet the way Austin loves Ally and claims her baby as his own. The effort he makes to help her to overcome her fears and insecurities is beautiful.

I have read every book in this series and all of the ones centered around Whiskey Run. In fact, I've read all of Hope Ford's other books as well. I can not recommend them enough even if parts of this particular book weren't my favorite. I truly hate to see this series end.

Friends to lovers to soul mates. Well, they were always soul mates. Neither just believed it.
Ally has been Austin’s best friend for years. Years. Yet, she believes she’s not good enough for him or his family. (They’ve all treated her like family forever.)
Austin has loved Ally since he’s known what love is. But an accident left him unable to father a child and he knows how much she’s always wanted a family.
Enter the slimy baby daddy who abandons her when she tells him.
Of course he slithers back when he sees a payday from Austin’s money.
It’s very predictable.
And it could have been a short story, if they had just talked things out. You know, like life long best friends would do.
Honestly, Ally’s “I’m not good enough; I’m too poor and from the wrong side of the tracks” spiel got old way fast.

Ally grew up on the wrong side of the tracks but has always been included in Austin’s family events. Ally has never felt good enough and now she finds herself pregnant and alone. In steps Austin trying to make her life better but being the independent woman she is, she feels like she’s a burden and that Austin is only helping her as a friend. How wrong she is. If you’ve read the other books in this series, you’ve known that Austin has always been in love with his best friend Ally. Now is his chance to show Ally what she means to him and hopefully she feels the same way. Austin is willing to do just about anything to protect and take care of Ally and her baby making them his family for always. Another great story with lots of sizzling chemistry and a couple who are meant to be together. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Friends to lovers

The last book in the Whiskey Men series was Austin & Ally’s story. Best friends since childhood Austin fell in love with Ally but never told her because a childhood accident left him unable to have children and he knew a family was important to her. Ally is poor with no family working at a salon. She’s pregnant and the father wants nothing to do with the child. Austin tells everyone in town the baby is his & they’re going to get married. When Ally has blood pressure issues and has to stop working Austin convinced her to marry him. Ally has been hiding that she loves him too believing that she’s not good enough for his family and he’s just being nice. When the father comes back threatening to take the baby from her they get married but is it enough to protect the baby and will they stay married. Great quick read.
