Living the Law of One 101: The Choice

Rate this book
Written with the intent of creating an entry–level, simple to read report concerning the core principles of the Law of One and Confederation philosophy in general, this book takes the reader through a discussion of Law of One principles such as unity, free will, love, light and polarity. It then works with the Confederation version of the concept that each person has an energy body with seven chakras. It discusses this concept and its implications for the seeker, chakra by chakra. It turns the player into a Player!

This is a light–hearted book about the Game of Life. It is an easy read, and yet the principles of the Law of One are not simplified. Rather, they are offered in an order which makes coherent sense. Principle builds upon principle to offer an overall view of Confederation philosophy which is a bit easier to grasp as a whole than the original Law of One books, where the question–and–answer format offers the same information in a somewhat fragmented form, although with endless interest.

If you would like to play the Game of Life with Carla, please give this book a try!

From the back cover:
"Living the Law of One–101: The Choice is the light revealing the way out of the uncertainty and chaos that inevitably arises as old paradigms crumble. Carla Rueckert, one of the clearest and most dedicated channelers of our time, has distilled more than a quarter of a century of extraordinary information into a clear and easily followed roadmap to the higher dimensions. If you are ready for the definitive guide to personal transformation, here is the answer you've been waiting for."
–Jean–Claude Koven, columnist, speaker and author of Going Deeper: How to Make Sense of Your Life When Your Life Makes No Sense.

"This book should be honored and kept with one always. It is a book for newcomers, those who meditate, New Age groups, UFO devotees, religious groups of all disciplines and all of the rest of humankind. It is a very powerful statement which will make our lives more meaningful, loving and certainly more wise. It is a work of art."
–Phyllis V. Schlemmer, author of The Only Planet of Choice.

"Carla shares a wealth of information and wisdom in this profound and thought–provoking work. Highly recommended."
–Robert Schwartz, author of Your Soul's Plan: Discovering the Real Meaning of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born (www.YourSoulsPlan.com).

"Never has there been a greater need for a clear, accessible overview of the possibilities and pitfalls of spiritual seeking. Carla L. Rueckert has masterfully provided just such an overview. As the original channel of the Law of One series, Rueckert has fashioned a text that is profound while being also astonishingly lucid. She delves into many issues that have baffled every serious inquirer, and manages to put them on a footing that shows the possibility of a real way forward. As a spiritual manual, this work is simply unmatched. I would recommend it without qualification to any earnest seeker."
–Stephen Tyman, PhD, author of A Fool's Phenomenology; Archetypes of Spiritual Evolution.

I feel that i am lucky to have been able to finish this book-
The first time i tried, i came across a kind of emotional block in the first chapters, and couldn't go on.
Voices arose in me that said that "this is not for me".
Truth be told- i think it had something to do with the "severe" and uncompromising tone Carla has in those few first chapters. She sounds quite severe and even somber, as if there is a "choice" that "someone" can make, and if you can't make it- you shouldn't go on reading the book or engaging with this path.
That can be seen as coming from her own personal way of seeing things.

Anyway, fate wanted, and i kept being interested in the "Ra-law of one" material,
And had the urge one day to try again with this book.
I said- i'll have another try, and not take things too seriously,
And i'll see what happens.

I'm glad i did, because the next chapters kept being more and more "digestible" for me.
It's kind of strange, but the more i went further up the "chakras" (chapters), the more i found that i resonate with this book. It became less and less black-and-white'ish for me, and i could see a more well rounded and realistic picture.

Overall, i tend to see this book as a very heartfelt and sincere personal account of Carla's own path- which was useful to understand where she came from when channeling this knowledge.
It is also a helpful workbook for anyone who wants to understand how to apply the Ra material to their life, and can really help with understanding what this knowledge is all about.

I'm not sure how much you will gain from reading this if you haven't read the Ra Material already. If you have, this is a simple and instructive way of letting the reader know how and what to do to follow the different principles from the Ra Material.

The book has lots of interesting infornation regarding chakras and our connection to the people around us. The last chapters are really interesting. Especially the ones regarding sacred sexuality and the different aspects of the magic personality.

Rueckert writes in a very simple way so that everyone can understand the concepts she presents. In my opinion it's a little too simple sometimes. I wish she would go about explaining some of the more advanced concepts and ideas from the Ra Material. Maybe she does that in the sequels?

The Law of One 101 is the final product written by Carla Rueckert and her twenty-six sessions with an extraterrestrial group known as Ra, not to be confused with the Egyptian Sun God Ra. Carla’s group of scientists known as L/L Research and the channeling technique is known as “tuned trance telepathy”. The book is Carla’s final product after enduring the experience of channeling this group of beings. Carla is not only the author but also the mind/body/spirit complex that actually channeled Ra. The book focuses on our choice of living the law of one, the choice of serving the one-and-only true universal creator, and discusses ways of dealing with our energy centers known as the chakras.

Awesome

Carla takes th Law of One and breaks it down into easy to understand language, It is essential in a much clearer step by step understanding of what Re was trying to teach. She makes it very personal with her own life examples by going into great detail so that one can relate it one's own life.

Same as The Ra Material. Carla liberally takes from the Yogic system while seemingly insisting that we should take her (and the Galactic Federation's) word for it rather than Yogis or New Age folk.

I'm not against personal revelation. All scripture comes to us through it. I do think we can grow and tap into our unconsciousness in interesting ways, but I think it takes another leap to assume we're channelling an Alien species, that provides no real new information, and doesn't reveal themselves.

It's still an odd scientology spin-off, but I really just get BAD VIBES from it.

This amazing book is the most concise and easy to understand distillation of volumes upon volumes of advanced instruction from extraterrestrial sources. It begins with a brief description of how this information was obtained, but generally assumes that the reader is familiar with the Ra material. While it is unfortunate Rueckert didn't live long enough to write her second and third volume, I'd like to believe she completed her life's purpose with this one book.

"Living the Law of One 101" is a handbook for operating in fourth density written in simple language. It presents the implications of a unitary creation consisting of nested energy fields, and then explains the proper functioning of each of the seven chakra points. Most importantly, it presents "The Choice": "service to self" or "service to others". This book assumes readers will choose to polarize in service to others; it does very little to persuade those who might choose otherwise.

The whole point of this game of life is to polarize in one direction or the other, and we can't graduate until we have done so. According to Rueckert, 2012 was an essential cutoff for choosing in which direction to polarize, and as of 2021 I still don't think enough time has passed to prove if she is wrong. In any case, "Living the Law of One 101" is a great introduction to the rules of the Gameboard, which is only assessible once the player becomes the Player.

I started off reading this book for spiritual guidance. It seems to be a synthesis of ideas I’ve collected over the years from philosophy, science, world religions, new thought and new age. Nearly every page held a confirmation of an idea I’ve agreed with or at the very least been exposed to in my lifetime.

The story behind this book is that it’s a summary of channelings. A group of researchers led a woman into a trance state were Ra spoke through her. (Not the Ra of the Egyptians, if you’re wondering.) She channeled information about life, death, the nature of our universe…reincarnation and more.

So…as I read and reflected on where these ideas have taken me in my nearly 41 years on the planet, I came to this. They’re hollow. They feel good for a season but when confronted with suffering, tragedy, injustice, disappointment or shame and guilt - they don’t hold up. There’s no substance. They can’t fill in all the pieces of the puzzle. It’s like I’ve got extra pieces and missing pieces and the picture of the world is distorted and incomplete.
Which is why you will see so many books on Christianity on my shelves now. I’m exploring an option I have never been truly serious about before. It’s looking more and more like a truer picture of reality. (Which is quite a sentence to write considering miracles and a resurrection from the dead, right? Just wanted you to know the seeming incongruity is not lost on me.)

Allegedly a "beginners intro" into the Law of One and LLResearch channellings,
it is not meant for children, covering many mature sexual topics.

It was otherwise an alright book, definitely had some good life lessons and worth archiving. But I guess I would prefer a different introduction to the LLResearch archive, perhaps composed of a selection of quotations from the Confederation of Planets themselves.

It does give us a glimpse into the life of Carla Rueckert and Jim McCarty, and their fairly ordinary lives and struggles, which make the LLResearch archives all the more glorious by comparison.

Mostly I would say that rather than a book introducing the Law of One and it's various background, I would say this is a book about relationships, particularly an autobiographical book about the history of her sexual relationships seen through the context of the Confederation of Planets teachings.

There was no mention of precious LLResearch teachings such as "make time for that reckoning with the deeper self that brings an entity living on the surface of things down into the regions of truth, beauty, virtue and all of those values that are worthy ten thousand years ago, ten thousand years in the future, and in this very moment as well."

Or to paraphrase a common theme "If what you're doing now doesn't yield benefit in 10,000 years, then perhaps there are better things to be doing." Anyhow, a satisfactory intro is yet to be found/written in my opinion.

This was a great audiobook and I can say that I learned some new things, but most of what this audiobook covered were things I already knew about.

As much as I enjoyed the narration, it was not the most professional audiobook ever. The narrator, Jim McCarty, struggled with a word and while it was rather amusing hearing him correct himself, it was rather unprofessional that this was not edited.

What really iced the cake concerning this audiobook was the discussion concerning sex. Rueckert says that sex is a spiritual gift to us, and (keeping in mind the book was written by a woman, and narrated by some guy) went on for what I suppose was three minutes discussing how her orgasms last a while. I feel like I learned a bit too much about Carla's sex life. It is due to this that I am giving a 4/5 instead of a 5/5. A man should not have narrated this book; it would have been much more appropriate for a woman to have narrated.

Overall, the content and information contained in the book was well organized and was easy to understand. It just wasn't a well-done audiobook.

Living the Law of One 101 is a fairly well-put-together book. The bulk of the content steps through each of the chakra energy bodies to discuss how to flourish in this aspect of life. To my delight, the sexuality at each of the colored rays is discussed! In terms of "The Choice" (to focus on loving the kosmos or solely oneself), the emphasis is on maintaining the heartset and keeping one's life in balance. And, indeed, 'tis an interesting perspective to wonder how to maintain the desired emotional/psychological orientation over the external conditions. Carla's focus on distinguishing the 'game' of life from the 'Game' of life in a multi-incarnational sense might help some people with understanding. Finally, this book includes much autobiographical information about Carla (and some about Jim) that may be amusing to those already familiar with the material. 😊

I struggled getting past the new age-ness of the content. Honestly, it feels like reading something presented by people who believe in non-science stuff like astrology or religion. I do think there are some interesting points, some significant ideas, and details that certainly deserve further investigation. In the end I felt like it read like the Bible - ideals based on the time it was written. I plan on reading it again when I have time to dissect it further.

Easy to understand and apply in your life.

I first read the multiple books of RA, the law of one, found it fascinating and life changing. This book helps us understand in a easy and practical way that uses quotes from the Bible and applys everything to our daily life.

Walk the Talk

Carla was just getting started on sharing how to Live the Law of One with this book. Truly wish she had been able to complete the series. Still so thankful for this information! Found it quite interesting indeed.

Having read the Ra Material, this is a wonderful companion I return to. It really simplifies the core Law of One principles and Carla has such an eloquent way of writing. Sometimes I'll just pick it up and read a random part of it and I almost always get something insightful out of it.

Read the Ra Contact first! I think that it is important to understand what bias is before you read anyone's interpretation of the original work.

This was such an excellent book for those of us studying the Law of One. Carla went into some detail on each chakra which allowed me to gleam a greater understanding of what the deeper meanings are in some of the Federations explanations. Highly recommend this book to any who are seeking esoteric wisdom.

Love the material but the Christian influence is very strong . Getting past that is easy enough when you read as an observer. Wish the other two books could have been written before she left.

Love the message but the writing style is extremely and unnecessarily drawn out. Simplified to the Nthd degree. Perhaps I would recommend this for someone just getting into the Law of One material. Otherwise, stick with the original teachings.
