Capstone is the fourth and final book in the completed, Young Adult, Cornerstone Series. The reading order for this paranormal romance adventure Cornerstone, Keystone, Jamb and Capstone. It's supposed to stink. That's what Cusps do. The Ianua, Nalena and Garrett's own community, have welcomed them back and by charging them as traitors and chucking them into the Hotel Celare's slammer. And outside the fortress walls, it's no better. The Cusp is at full-boil as the world finally surrenders to The Fury's lifestyle. Looting, riots, murders—every kind of crime has become the norm—and The Fury want to make it all permanent. They might even succeed, now that they've nabbed all thirteen of the Ianua's Cornerstones. To preserve mankind, the only chance the Ianua have left is to beat The Fury to the Earth's Core and somehow trigger the Reset. Like that's easy. There's no manual on how to activate a Reset. Nobody even knows if there’s an actual Core to the Earth. Shoot, it could be one big myth; an epic waste of effort. But the Addo thinks there is one last hope. Maybe. So long as someone is willing to sacrifice everything to be mankind's long shot.

Misty is one of my favorite authors and she graciously let me read an arc copy of Capstone being I love this series so much. After just finishing, I am feeling a whirlwind of emotions: sadness, happiness, spiritual, connected, love, hopeful, and most importantly awe. Misty has created a masterpiece with this series. Capstone is the beautiful, bright, and shiny cherry on top. I was on the edge of my seat literally the whole way through. I never knew what was to come and I laughed through my tears. Misty has created a world I couldn't ever begin to imagine....it is beyond amazing. And her characters, oh man, they are so fantastic! I am going to miss them all so much, I wish this series would continue. My favs. are Addo Larry and Nok- I love that little guy so much! Being I don't know how else to do this series and book justice, I will leave you with a SOME (there are just too many) of my fav. quotes and lines. Happy reading with Capstone! Hold onto your hats, and don't let go. You are in for a non stop adventure, and this ride goes upside down and all around! ***************************************
"Deeta looks like she is going to poop a wheelbarrow."
'I'm so fixed to his lips its like I've just applied crazy glue eye drops."
It is a free fall into his irises, but this time, I go willingly, with the target being the very bottom of his soul.
"I couldn't help it. You stand any guy in front of a toasted marshmallow version of a modern Marilyn Monroe and you can't expect them not to look.

I was extremely honored to receive an advanced copy of Cornerstone from Misty. This series had furthered my love of reading. Misty`s attention to detail is amazing. The ending was more than anything I could have ever imagined. Reading Misty's words from Cornerstone to Capstone sends you right into the middle of the story as if you were living in the same world. Exceptional books. I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves to read and is tired of the mainstream cooker cutter books.
It's 3 in the morning and I just finished... I couldn't put it down... But I have to collect my thoughts for this review.. More to come soon...
Ok...I have collected myself...and here goes... *sighs* This is going to be hard to write...Why, you ask?? Capstone is the last book in the Cornerstone series and I am having to say good-bye to some much loved characters. Yes, they will forever be a part of my heart, but its sad knowing that I will not be anticipating that next Cornerstone novel.... So, with that said, once I received Capstone, I jumped right in and as I mentioned above, I stayed up until 3 AM to finish. Being back in the craziness of Garrett and Nalena's lives was exhilerating. Capstone picks right back up where Jamb left off and immediately we are thrown to the wolves...Who do we trust? How are our beloved Iuana going to get out of this and turn things around for the good?? There is so much that happens in this book that I am still wrapping my head around it... I loved seeing Garrett and Nalena bond...And I mean the actual ceremony of binding. They grew so much as a couple. I even thought during a moment in which my chest constricted for the pure heartache that Nalena was experiencing that this was going to be the end...and it even escalated when that pain was magnified with Garrett's...I was ready to hunt Misty Provencher down for allowing this to happen to this awesome couple...but of course we see such wisdom and strength come from both of them along with new abilities that will set up so much for the end of this book.... Capstone is a whirlwind of action and emotions. So much is thrown at us that there are times when I felt overwhelmed...but digging in and waiting to see outcomes proves beneficial. I have to say that the end is NOT what I expected...I was definitely thinking I would see something sooooo different....Is that good or bad you may ask??? Well, for me the ending worked for the book...I get it..It wasn't my choice ending...But it left the series with wise words and things I think people need to think about everyday... I can't believe this journey is over with these fabulous characters...I have loved every moment of it...THANK YOU Misty Provencher for writing one of my favorite series... AND...let me also add...THANK YOU for the CISORAS...Whew!!! That scene in this book will forever be branded in my memory...*Fans self*
How about 6 stars! I just finished my arc, like 2 seconds ago & will update this to a full review soon. I'm having a harder time dealing with the fact that this amazing series is over than I am with anything else. Time to process.
OK it's been 2 days & here is the rest of my Spoiler Free Review:
Let’s start by bringing this party back to the beginning, since this is technically the end I say why not. Thanks to Goodreads, I know that I added Cornerstone to my “to-read” shelf in December of 2011 – but it wasn’t until I was enthusiastically recommended to read Cornerstone, by a book loving friend a whole year later, that I actually picked it up and I devoured it! As well as each and every title since! This is why you should take some recommendations extremely seriously! You never know what diamond in the rough you will find even if the book was technically on your radar. You can visit my very simple goodreads review of Cornerstone. I have also reviewed Jamb, the 3rd book in the series as well as an author crush post where I gush over Misty Provencher!
Now onto the fourth and final book in the series, Capstone. It is just as compelling and enthralling as the rest of the series. I thwarted most of my responsibilities just so I could read it as fast as I could! I wanted to consume it and do it quickly, kinda like ripping off a band-aid, because I knew it was going to hurt me on some fundamental level. I even assembled a preparedness kit of chocolate, candy, wine & tissues to read the last 3 chapters.
Now that it’s been a few days since I finished Capstone, and I took some time to process, I feel like I might be able to review it without getting all verklempt. I guess I am the saddest over the fact that this fantastic series is over. That is where all my feels go – to dealing with that I am no longer going to be reading another Cornerstone installment…I hate letting go. But I know Misty is going to continue writing fascinating books, so that gives us all something to look forward to.
Capstone is noting short of exceptional. This ENTIRE series is beyond words for me. I rated it the rare 6 hearts! (If only other sites would let me too!) It wasn’t what I was expecting for the finale, but it was overwhelmingly satisfying too. I do have one complaint – it was too short. I know what an awful thing to say, because I know it’s just me being selfish and wanting so much more and not wanting it to end…ever. But all good things must come to an end, and Misty tugged at my heart and brain just enough to make me smile like a fool all while tearing up.
The book was full of non-stop action, picking up exactly where Jamb left off. Because that Jamb cliffhanger was a humdinger! Actually Misty does cliffhangers right, aka makes me scream at the top of my lungs and then dies for more! I have never had a worse book hangover like I do when I finish a Cornerstone novel. I am so screwed for a good long while. It was wrong for me to say it was too short, when so much happens and it happens so smoothly that you barely realize the book is almost over! Without giving away the plot at all, let me just say HOLY COOKIES to the rescue!
Every character has a point and purpose in this book. It comes full circle, for many. But let’s talk Garrett & Nalena. Garrett is so perfect. He has always taken his time with Nalena, never pressuring her, never giving her too much information to overwhelm her, because he knows just what to say & when. Nalena has grown so much, but is still very much her. They endure so much together and together they make some of the hardest choices. These two are the perfect couple, I mean they love each other so hard, so real & so deeply. However, they also try to put their responsibilities above themselves, the world is going to hell and they are involved in trying to get the pieces back together. As it is with many YA series I get so attached to the characters that I want them to do things, that as an adult reader expects them to do *giggles* and even though this book is still very PG and still very YA, you do get some amazingly sexy scenes between these two. Sometimes the anticipation is steamier than the act! (Thanks Misty! Whew! *wipes brow*)
The Cornerstone series is hard to pin down, it’s fantasy, it’s romance, it’s a coming of age, it’s paranormal, it’s unique. It is magical & it is AMAZING! This series has some of the most distinctive worlds & characters I have ever read. I love it. Be patient like Garrett and you will get all of the feels, all of them and they will get you too.
I hope you give this series a chance too, as I am that enthusiastic reader that is recommending it to everyone I can!
I couldn't get over what happened with Garrett and Teagan :( So from that point on I was not into the book because I couldn't stand Garrett but by the end he was coming around to me again. Then the end of the book huh??? What?? That's it...Noooooo not how I thought it should just end like that. I don't feel complete with Garrett and Nalena. I don't know what else to say. I'm lost for words right now.
How Does She Do It?!?!? Misty Provencher has written this series with the heart of true lovers, the fear of a timid schoolgirl, the wit of a sarcastic teenage boy, the caution of a nerdy girl, the strength of a burly biker and the passion of a loving mom (but there are so many others). Misty is an artist who paints the canvas with her words. Here are just a few of her literary gems:
***** "When my mom was my connection, our field looked like a diamond and when I saw her during the Memory ceremony, she left a diamond bell in my heart that jingles when I think of how I loved her."
"I push the idea of any more death into the furthest corner of my mind's root cellar. Stuff like that can be packed away, like funeral clothes, until it is absolutely necessary to take them out."
"...echo moves through my mind like a beautiful, live fish."
"He looks like DaVinci's Vitruvian man."
"There is always room for balance."
"He laughs again, that sound that could easily translate into languages like sunshine and waterfalls and Earth." *****
Capstone (The Cornerstone Series) is a fun read, and a wonderful ending to an amazing story. However, I am sad the Cornerstone series is complete. I fell in love with the characters, connections and the storyline. I WANT MORE!!!
Four stars: A stunning ending to an original and imaginative series!
Nalena and Garrett have been thrust into jail cells after their harrowing return to the hotel. Everyone is under suspicion these days and no one can be trusted. The remaining members of the Iuana are falling under the spell of the mastermind, Van, who is still playing the part of a loyal Iuana. Time is running out as the remainder of the world has succumbed to the Fury. Violence and chaos rein. It is up to the few remaining members of the Iuana to try and save the world. A small hope exists, and the Addo believes that the world can be reset if someone can reach the earth's core. For this dangerous mission, he relies on Nalena. Can the young and somewhat inexperienced girl manage to save humanity? What I Liked: *I am a big fan of Ms. Provencher's work. I am in awe of her genius and her remarkable creativity. The Cornerstone Series is a shining example of her exceptional talent. I cannot praise this indie series enough. It is far beyond anything that I have read in the mainstream market, and I feel it deserves to be read by many more people. This series is original and unlike anything you have read before. If you are tired of the same old same old and you are looking to recharge with something fresh and unique, you must read these books. *The transformation that Nalena has undergone is amazing. She started out as a timid, desperate girl who was bullied at school and nicknamed "the Waste" due to her mother's paper hoarding. Nalena had no idea how important her mother's papers actually were. Now she is a courageous, spirited girl who is determined to save the world. She has learned to step up and fight and she doesn't back down, even when she is thrust into terrifying life threatening situations. She is far removed from the tormented girl who only wanted to hide her mother's hoarding. *The romance is stronger and more beautiful than ever. From the first book, there has been a steady romance building between Nalena and Garrett. This is definitely a slow burner that takes its sweet time evolving. The two have weathered a few storms and survived a few shaky spells. Now they know that they are destined to be together. The final step they must take before they can officially become a couple is endure a binding. A binding is a ritual that the members of the Iunana undergo to make sure they have selected the right mate. Basically a couple is tethered together with a pair of rip cords housed in a small box. For the next few days, the pair must do everything together, never apart. That means even doing all the private things such as bathroom breaks and bathing in front of each other. If they can't hack it, then they cut the cords and the relationship is forfeit in the eyes of the Iuana. Can you even imagine? Such an entertaining and exciting concept, and it was fun seeing it in action. Garrett and Nalena explore new boundaries as they try and survive their binding. I loved watching the shyness and hesitancy of the couple as they navigate being attached full time. It doesn't help that there are a few wrenches thrown in, such as Nalena is supposed to tunnel to the core of the earth and save the world. She must choose either to drag Garrett along or cut her tether. If she fails the binding, she and Garrett will never be able to have children. What will she decide? *The story line is once again filled with plenty of action and danger. With the world succumbing to the temptations of the Fury, people are turning traitor. It was interesting trying to figure out who was still loyal and who was a turncoat. The story builds and builds with suspense and tension until it reaches a thrilling climax, and the ending was intense. I was blown away by the direction the story took and how everything settled out, it was completely unexpected and unlike anything I have experienced. I am sad to see this phenomenal series come to a close, but what a finish it was. Don't miss it! I am still trying to make sense of it all. *I adore Misty's writing. Her unique and funny personality shines through in her writing. Her metaphors and similes do take some time to get used to but now that I am familiar with her style, I have come to appreciate the cleverness and hilarity in her comparisons. I love her wit and sense of humor! And The Not So Much: *One of the aspects I love most about this series are the tremendous secondary characters. I absolutely adore the Addo who has no fashion sense and believes that a cookie can cure just about anything. I also love the rest of Garrett's family, his brothers Sean Mark and Brandon are always a delight. Unfortunately for the most part, the rest of the cast play very small roles in the story. I especially missed the Addo as his scenes are always my favorites. *While I loved the whole story line following the binding between Garrett and Nalena, I felt a bit cheated. There is all this buildup and sexual tension, and I was so eager to see it all come to fruition but saving the world gets in the way. Talk about frustrating! *I am not going to lie, this is a complex story with many foreign ideas and terms. There is a lot going on and so much to keep track of. I am not certain that I had a clear understanding of everything. It does get a bit confusing at times. *The ending while stunning and unexpected was a bit chaotic, and I found I had a hard time following everything that was going on. Maybe it is just me but I am not sure I had a handle on it all. It might benefit by slowing down a tad and explaining further.
Capstone was a satisfying and exciting ending to a series that I cannot recommend enough. These books are unlike anything I have ever read and they are bursting with creativity and originality. I am always sad to say goodbye to favorite characters, but I am content with the way everything played out. I cannot wait to see what Misty has up her sleeve next. Take a chance and read these books!
Favorite Quotations: "We different, he says, but we still love same." "Traitors are worse than enemies. They know your secrets, so they can get in closer to the bone." "I'm a train wreck on top of a car crash on top of a bicycle pile up." "My mother used to say that a cookie could cure anything. My mom used to say chicken soup would do that. You're mother wan't as much fun as mine." "He laughs again, that sound could easily translate into language like sunshine and waterfalls and Earth."
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review. Posted@Rainy Day Ramblings.
Nothing is handled particularly well. There are plot holes - especially milo being a contego and deeta being an alo, but being bound anyways. In the end everything happens really fast. This one has so many editing errors, but hey, I have still reread it multiple times so how bad can it be?
Capstone starts off right where Jamb left off. The tables have turn and now Nali, Garret and the rest of the people that escapes The Chasm are now prisoners of the remaining Cura’s. When they try to prove their innocence they are spurned. And when Nali is given a mission by the missing Aldo she has to choose love or life. But with Garrett by her side Nali is given a strength she didn’t know she had. So as they journey to put a stop to Van’s plans both will endure the biggest test in their relationship. Lives are lost, betrayals are committed and many relationships are tested in this final book.
The Characters
From the beginning on this series I have loved every character in this series. Nali started off a bit weak but her strength grew as the book progressed and I enjoyed seeing her progression. Garrett has always been his wonderful self and I didn’t ever stop being that. He was protective of Nali as well as his family and that didn’t stop throughout the series. My heart truly broke for him through the series and this final book.
The secondary characters in this series are something that I really enjoyed. I felt like everyone had their own little part to play and no one was overlooked.
The Romance
Throughout the series Garret and Nali’s love has been the greatest factor in Nali’s journey. With each other they were able to conquer the bad and good and that didn’t stop in this final book. But when it came down to the end where we wanted this couple to have their HEA I was utterly pissed off. After spending four books reading about the power of their love and the struggle of them being together at times I was so let down with how it ended. I was so pissed that I felt cheated and still do.
The Wrap-Up
So even though this was a good book I have to say that it dragged at times. And like I mentioned above the ending was crap. I’m not usually so upset over an ending because I don’t expect them all to be good ones but this one just didn’t HAVE an ending which is why I’m so upset. Because of those two things Capstone fell down to 3.5 stars.
So pick up Capstone if you've read the rest, at least to finish the series.
As soon as I received Capstone I was… sad. I didn’t want to read it, because I knew the moment I started it I wouldn’t be able to put it down. That’s totally what happened and when I finished I was extremely sad. That’s the bad thing about a series for me, I get so attached to these characters, it’s like Garrett and Nalena are really my friends and saying goodbye just completely and totally sucks. I hate it, but Misty ended it beautifully.
Capstone picked up where Jamb left off and let me tell you it is beyond crazy! Garrett and Nalena aren’t sure who they can trust and the normal way of the Inuana isn’t the normal way anymore. Rules are being broken, trust is being tested, and secrets are being held. So what does that mean for Garrett, Nalena, and the rest of their family? I have to say that no matter what goes on, the supporting characters are phenomenal. I still adore Zane, he just cracks me up and I’m so glad he was present in this book. I was worried something was going to happen to him and the gang with the massive action that was going down at the end of Jamb.
Massive amounts of ups and downs in this book. I was so excited that everyone was alive, worried about who could be trusted, then thrilled and then terrified. I was ready to blow up Misty through Facebook, Twitter, and Email. You’ll know why when you get to that part in the book and you’re going to want to do the same, just know everything will work out. One of the biggest reasons why I love this series is because of the message between the lines, well at least the message I received. Nothing is always as it seems, sometimes we have to have FAITH that everything will work out and trust in those worthy of our trust to have our backs.
I cried a little in the last few chapters and practically bawled when I finished the book. I’m so not ready for Garrett and Nalena’s story to be over. I need more of them, of all of them. Thank you Misty for writing an amazing series, one that I will definitely revisit often.
Woah...totally blew my mind....still processing...
Ok. Wow. This entire series is just amazing and this final book just blew me away! No matter how far into this world you get, there are still surprises that you can't even imagine. Nalena & Garrett are such an incredible couple. They love each other more than anything in the world but can still manage to put others ahead of themselves. The love of the people surrounding them is magnificent, too. They've all accomplished so much and survived so much tragedy, it still brings tears to my eyes! I love, love this series and am already anxious to read through it again!
I really liked this series and even this book up until Garrett's "confession" and then the ending? I don't even know what to say about the ending. Not what I expected for sure, and it left Nalena and Garrett's story feeling very incomplete to me.
I was so invested on this series, but the end just did me in. I feel cheated. It was so anti climatic in so many ways. Is the author a good author, I would have said yes-we until this book. I will chalk this author up to authors I won't be reading again.
The series started out great but ended up leaving me the most disappointed I’ve been in a series for a long time. Can’t even write a proper review because of how sad this has made me. Super bummer.
In Provencher’s Capstone, the last installment in the Young Adult, paranormal fantasy, Cornerstone series, the self-seeking, destructive “Fury” have taken over the world.
Teenager Nalena Maxwell won’t lie – being asked to save the world is not only daunting, it seems particularly risky for a girl formerly nicknamed “The Waste.” Worse, when Nalena and her gang return from a mission into the Fury’s home base, they find that the Fury’s leader is actually one of their own, and that he has taken over the Ianua stronghold. What he hasn’t counted on is Nalena’s resourcefulness, her commitment, and the bravery that lies beneath the self-doubt of a girl who was, until a short time ago, just a normal, awkward teenager. With a wholly believable voice that captures the attitudes and concerns of today’s teens as well as the inner turmoil of a newbie-warrior, Nalena leads us through narrow tunnels, up and down a mountainside, and across enemy lines in an attempt to stop the world’s imminent demise. Despite her apparent bravery, Nalena is plagued with wondering, Am I good enough? Not only good enough to reset the world’s core – in other words to give the human race a chance to start over -- but also good enough for the simple, teenaged things in life, such as holding on to her handsome, citrusy-smelling, very kissable boyfriend, Garrett Reese. Provencher deftly weaves together a fully developed alternative world and mythology with the real-world, modern trials of a contemporary teenager who is as concerned with her boyfriend seeing her naked for the first time as she is that they are to be naked in an Ianua jail cell. If Capstone is lacking, it is in backstory. For those who have not read Provencher’s earlier books in the Cornerstone series, readers may be somewhat confused, however, Provencher provides a glossary of terms at the beginning of Capstone, which helps. (And anyway, you should read the other books in the series -- they're all great!)
Capstone is full of suspense and adventure, woven with elements of romance, coming-of-age, and spiritual wisdom that will thrill and engage both teenaged and adult readers.
I hate saying this, but whereas Cornerstone, book 1 in the series, started off so strongly, the rest of the series has declined.
One of the things I hated the most was how Provencher handled the relationship between Nalena and Garrett. When they infiltrated the Fury's headquarters in Jamb, Garrett had to act like he was dating another girl because she thought he was his older brother Sean. Some of the ways that carried over into Capstone really ruined the romance and the sweetness for me. . Provencher wrote this great story with so much potential and wove it around this adorable romance between the former high school reject and the cute, popular guy who turns out to have powers like Nalena and also really love her, and then she just shattered it for me.
The only redeeming factor was the end. While the story up to that point was really rushed, and there were moments where the plot was a little too convoluted to make sense, I liked how Provencher ended the series with the Reset and the balance. It was consistent with the philosophy of balance and sacrifice that the Ianua had been espousing throughout the series, and it made sense that they would accomplish the Reset that way. I thought it was daring and wrapped up the story pretty well. I think with some different and perhaps harsher editing, the Cornerstone series could have been something incredibly special.
It took me a bit longer to get to this book then I thought and it took me a bit longer to read than my average read. I started out really liking the premise of the series, coming off of so many supernatural/dystopian YAs, this series felt fresh. The first two books kept my interest, the third I liked parts of, this fourth I just wanted to see what would happen to everyone. I had two main issues with the fourth and final book. 1. I felt like some parts of the book were not edited - grammatically sentences didn't make sense and it took away from flowing dialog and fast paced scenes. Whether it was the grammar or another part of the editing process, there were times when I felt lost as to what exactly was going on and I even reread parts to see if it was just me. 2. The focus of this installment's story line did not get resolved to my satisfaction given the build up and character development. I felt like I had no idea where the story was going and the ending just "shoved me off a cliff" and THE END.
I'm fine with the actual ending I just have no idea how we got there.
So all in all, I recommend reading the series, it's just not on my top 10 of YA series.
Whyyyyyyyyy?! It can't be over, tell me it isn't so (insert self, sobbing uncontrollably on the ground)!!!
My heart will need to recover from this because it goes balls to the wall pretty much from beginning to end...if you're not on the verge of hyperventilating from what danger is coming next, your hyperventilating from the seriously steamy scenes of the gorgeous and sexy Nalena and Garrett, to sobbing like a toddler, to fist pumping in the air from their bad assery, to screaming at your kindle because the bad guys are being complete and utter douchebags.
I am so happy right now though, what a beautiful ending, the ever so talented Misty wrote this book with such amazing imagery and feeling. The ending line tore at my heart strings and the way Nalena describes Garrett was not only holy wow worthy but so so amazing. It put me in this trance, I can't even explain it.
If you haven't read this series, you must be cray....and I feel sorry for you for missing out on all these great characters and their story!!!
I really loved the book until I got 85% of the way, then I just got really confused. I understand and loved the cornerstones for the Reset and Garrett and Nalena's journey to the core. What I didn't like or expect was that the ending of the story was really their end! No completion of the binding or a life together. Just over a cliff and done?! I don't understand then why, if the Reset destroys everyone, does Garrett make such a declaration to Nalena for 4 books for nothing! With the author being Provencher, I knew to expect something different, but after reading about these characters for so long and I was hoping for a happily ever after. Especially since their entire relationship had to take a back seat to eliminating the Fury and saving the world, not to mention Garrett's major hiccup which had me hating him! I know, they had to save mankind, but I was hoping to finish with a smile, not a book thrown across a room.

Hm. I'm happy to see that the series has finally culminated. I really loved it leading up to the ending, but the ending kind of lost me a little bit. The book was extremely well-written, only a few typos, and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were a few characters I forgot about in the time it took for me to finish the last one and start reading this one. So that's not a criticism, as its my own fault. I felt like the end was a little... hokey, I guess? I don't know how to describe it. I'm definitely glad I read it, and I think that the series as a whole was quite excellent. The world of the Ianua is certainly interesting, and I love all of the different roles their people have. I think the Veritas are absolutely fascinating. But I felt that the last 10% of the book (Kindle edition) fell a little flat.
I read this a while ago and just realised I didn't leave a review for this one so here goes. What can I say but what a brilliant series this was. I had cornerstone on my Kindle for a while and only started reading it when a friend asked me to, well why did I wait so long to start this series, who knows because once you get started you'll never be able to stop till you end up here after reading Capstone.
I love Nalena and Garret they make such a great couple and have come so far, and the weight of the world on their shoulders. I'm so going to miss them.
I was in such a rush to read this book but also sad as I knew it was the end of this series but I'm hoping that Misty will change her mind and continue with this series, you never know we can but hope!!
The epic finally never happen, it almost feels like another book needs to written about what happens when the earth resets. Dead Lovers, family dies, the evil overtakes the whole world, not the ending I was expecting. The tone of the book changes, a bit so the story feels distorted. I do understand the finale, I know what the writer meant when she kill everyone, but I still felt a bit cheated there was so much more I wanted to see. But it is what it is and overall the series is different, innovated and very good.

So good! Over the course of this 4 book series, this story and it's wonderful characters have come extremely far! I never would have suspected that, reading book 1, it would end up here where it ends. Provencher builds an amazong world, with awesome characters, plotlines, twists, and turns. So great. Excited to read The Fly House as some of these characters will now show up there... and while that originally dodnt make sense to me, it makes perfect sense now having completed this series. Definitely worth the read!
The final chapter of the Cornerstone series is done and what a fantastic ending! I love the relationship between Garrett and Nalena. This is a great world that Misty Provencher has created and I'm sorry to see it end. wouldn't mind reading a short novella to see how they're all doing.
Ms. Provencher is an extremely talented story teller and I can't wait for,the next series to come out! If you haven't read this series put it on your list. You won't be disappointed,
CAPTSTONE was just as exciting and fresh as the other books in the CORNERSTONE series, and the ending was nothing short of beautiful. I actually said "wow" out-loud when I finished reading this book. If you enjoy the world that Misty Provencher has built in this series, you will love the way she tears it down in this book, keeping you breathless until the very last page.
I started reading this series after it was completed....and I am so glad that I did (I hate having to wait until the next book comes out, especially when I really loave it). I read the entire series in a weekend. This is one of the best that I have read in a while...very original.
Overall I really loved this series, and I'm super sad that it's over. The final book was full of action and a bunch of surprises that made me read faster, and the ending was unbelievable. I'm still kind of pinching myself to see if it's true. One of my favorite series that I read for 2014.
