The Book of Hosea is the story of a people who once had belonged to God, but allowed rituals to displace reality. They let the mechanics of a dead religion replace the meaning of a living faith. God is continually finding ways that He can forgive us - not condemn us. If only we could grasp hold of that tremendous truth sooner for our lives -- we would return much sooner that most of us do. The Book of Hosea is as relevant today as it was when the Prophet Hosea penned these words. May we not miss today -- what Hosea's people missed in his day.
