This book presents new clinical strategies involving EMDR, a new psychotherapeutic approach that represents a new paradigm for treatment of trauma and difficult memories. It includes diagnostics, work with Ego States and integration with psychodynamic psychotherapy, body processing and new proposals for performance enhancement, especially with actors and athletes.
Written in simple, but profound language, the author, David Grand, Ph.D., also presents two complete sessions transcribed verbatim from his private practice in New York. He also takes the time to answer frequently asked questions about different applications of EMDR, such as, stuttering, self-use, fear of flying, and finishes off with instructions on the use of BioLateral sound recordings.

He has a Doctorate from the International University and a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Society for Psychoanalytic Study and Research of Long Island.
He has developed and produced the innovative technology of the BioLateral Sound Recordings that are utilized by thousands of therapists to facilitate healing through the use of relaxing bilateral sounds. Dr. Grand is the former president of the Humanitarian Assistance Program with EMDR – HAP. While president he coordinated gratuitous training sessions for therapists in Northern Ireland and also coordinated HAP Training Sessions for Disadvantaged Urban Neighborhoods in Long Island and Brooklyn, New York.
