There are so many red flags with this book. First of all, who published it? Penguie Press? Also, any author who insists on using their honorific instead of their first name is just pretentious. Look up his LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sinhue-no... He has a BA in English. That's it. No education degree and he only spent 7 years in "schools around the nation," but doesn't list which schools or what kind. He talks about charter schools. What does he know about public ed? How many contracts weren't renewed? He contradicts himself, seems to hate accountability and doesn't have a handle on what Common Core actually is. His views on grading are a nightmare! One of the descriptions of the book talks about "government overreach" which is dog whistle for REPUBLICAN. Skip this book and author altogether. He has no idea what he is talking about.

I wanted to read this book since long and finally I dug into it and understood that the author is not only brilliant in narrating the subject but he is someone who truly wants to make a difference. What I loved most about this book is the author’s [who is a teacher himself] honest intention to improve the education system for the betterment of the upcoming generation of America. The broad and brilliant mindset of the author, inviting change is truly commendable. Thumbs up to this author and the great teacher in him, I will definitely look forward to read more of his works.
