I loved Bober’s biography of Abigail Adams but the bio of Wordsworth was not as fully fleshed out. It was a bit disjointed and I did not find him a sympathetic character. I found his relationships odd and his life inscrutable.
A short, pleasant book that manages to provide background to the love and appreciation of nature in Wordsworth's poetry. I came away from the book with greater appreciation for the Poet, having been convinced of the authenticity of his feelings, mainly through description of his wanderings. The book also portrays a strong, creative Dorothy, William's sister.
