Gordon Solie was the voice and the face of professional wrestling beginning back in the fifties. His peak was probably in the late 70's and early 80's thanks to his hosting of pro wrestling on Super Station WTBS out of Atlanta on cable systems around the country.

This book was written by his daughter and son-in-law and tells a pretty complete story of an intelligent, complex and troubled individual who reached the apex of his chosen career.

The Author may like the subject, I don't know, the book doesn't really come out and say one way another. Most in this tale speak fondly of Solie but also with a distance in tone. It's a challenge to write about such private people. But Allyn did the foot work and put down a history anyone would be proud of. Well researched and willing to ask questions. The best tributes are truthful. I shall read more of this author for sure.
