With Spanish tapas restaurants popping up all over, more and more people across the globe are learning to love the fresh and wholesome flavors that characterize Spanish, and especially Basque, cuisine. This book offers 130 authentic recipes for every course from an expert on Basque regional cooking.
traveling at its best. Makes me what to travel the Basque Country and sample all these foods first hand. Almost lets you smell the briny sea and fresh air.
Needed photos. Excerpts about the different regional, famous tapas bars would have been a huge plus too. Folks want to SEE the region, the people AND THE FOOD. Especially when the ingredients are not domestic to them. While substitutions are offered, if there was a description of ingredients that are unusual to, say, an american palate, that would have been helpful, just like a photo would have been!
Having said that, glad to have some of these recipes tucked away... Still postponing returning it to the library until I've got it all down.
Since I am Basque I like to home cooking books and this was an interesting variety of Spanish Basque food recipes. Could have been made a lot better with photos of what finished product was supposed to look like.A lot of excerpts from the author sprinkled throughout about location specific recipes and ingredients.
