Powerful women are his weakness. Trouble is his strength
***********

Tyler Chambers doesn't have to look for trouble, it finds him. He is not happy when his assignment is switched from living a carefree life sailing around the South Pacific to working in a stressful environment in the cold, wet climate of Scotland.

The last thing he wants is responsibility, but his efforts to avoid it wind up impressing his boss, Naval officer Darcy Novak - and she does not impress easily. Tyler is seduced by her position of power and changes his tactics, aching for her attention.

As she gives him more responsibility, the relationship edges to being more than just professional. But they must fight their true feelings as their personal affection for one another is forbidden by Navy regulations.

Quality Assurance Inspector and co-worker Charlotte Kemp doesn't have the same code of ethics and uses her professional power for her own personal pleasure. When her lust goes too far, Tyler's world is thrown into chaos, forcing him into some tough choices and a web of lies.

Wanting the wrong woman turns out to be more trouble than Tyler bargained for. His work life fixing submarines is hectic, but he must also fight forbidden desires while shunning a man eater.

If you are looking for hot alpha males with no fear of anything, a virgin love interest, and a few billion in the bank; may I suggest the next aisle over where you’ll also find the blindfolded bodice-rippers.

If you are looking for an author who writes safe and tip toes around sensitive issues, perhaps you should look in the “I keep a tight rein on my characters and never let them speak their mind without censorship” section.

If, like I, you subscribe to the Truman Capote philosophy “You can’t blame a writer for what the characters say,” then I have some great fiction for you.

Hi, I'm Travis. I am a beach read writer and in-print entertainer. That means I write fun books. The topics and content may be highly charged with what may be considered politically incorrect these days, but what fun is life if we can't laugh.

Here are some of my favorite lines from reviews I have received. (And they are not all 5-star “I'm the greatest writer ever.”)

* Travis Casey is a writer who takes chances. In this political satire, he hits on controversial topics. I laughed and shook my head as political correctness took a giant leap out the window. – The Mayor’s Race

* When first reading this book, I absolutely loathed it, until I realized that it was really the character, Mr. Hightower, that I hated rather than the book. To make someone hate a character as much as I despised this one is a rare talent. He is a misogynistic narcissist with a knack for gaslighting that cheats on his wife with a former student and still looks down upon others for drinking any sort of alcohol, having a job in the sex industry, and swearing of any sort. –No Halo Required

* This book will make you chuckle at the characters' antics while simultaneously wanting to scream with aggravation when they do something particularly foolish. The ratio of romance to adventure skews in favor of adventure, and it makes for an exciting story with just enough flirting to be fun. With its clever conversations, strong plot, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, this book is worth reading! – Southern Harm

* What makes a man fall completely head over heels in love? Well, we get to see why in this amazing book told in a male's POV. This book was beautifully written with a strong voice, a great blend of love and drama. The dialog was witty and hilarious, the characters fascinating and funny. – Forbidden Trouble

* Wow, reading this book was a hilarious, thrilling voyage! The witty, raw humor in this book draws you in right away and doesn't fail to keep you entertained for the whole ride. There was more than one time I found myself laughing out loud – Oceans of Trouble

* I am speechless about the book. Too many themes running at the same time -deceit, guilt, lust, infatuation, backstabbing, etc, etc. – Trouble Triangle

A dual citizen of America and Britain, I currently live in Minnesota with my British wife and two Shih Tzu/Bichon crosses, Shelby and Sia

Charming and romcomy

That about sums up this book. From the first two sentences, to the last page it's filled with laughs, sweet sentiments and just a warm and fuzzy story that ends with the guy getting the girl (no one claim spoiler! If you didn't see it coming...why are you reading this?).

This is a story told through the eyes of Second Class Petty Officer Tyler Chambers who starts off with some wry wit and womanizing ways, then he inevitably gets his head turned by the right woman. Is that a completely new story concept? No. Maybe if you've been living under a rock. But that said, this is really a fun read, that to boot, also has enough plot turns to it to keep it interesting if “romance” isn't really your thing.

This book also has a, peculiar, brand of humor, or should I say that *of Tyler?* In any case, he's a likable no filter, in the right place at the right time kind of guy. I mean, he can't get fired for the life of him to begin with then... Well, I'll avoid those spoilers, but let's just say the guy practically always ends up 'lucky'. Novak on the other hand, sometimes came of as the typical “swoon type” but other times she had some steel to her, and certainly Tyler's inability to read her kept their dynamic out of the realm of boring. Though I'll also admit that I wasn't super sold on the pairing to begin with, but they grew on me.

Overall I liked this book, it's not a “deep and serious” tale, but in its lightheartedness it does have a few tidbits to think about, like for example, what life is like for women in the navy, then for women in command or how knowing what you want makes a difference. To qualify this book best I'll use a quote of Tyler's: “I impressed her by not trying to impress her. Now that was impressive.” My sentiments of this book to a T, but that said I'd rate this a 4.5 (though I have no qualms over rounding up to 5 stars). It's just that funny/sweet.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is in the market for a laugh and especially for someone who also wants some romance to that laugh. But if you're looking for something mind-blowing in any way shape or form, definitely pass this one up. This is really just a fun trip. Oh! And in case anyone is wondering, no, you don't have to read the other books in this series to enjoy this one.

What makes a man fall completely head over heels in love? Well, we get to see why in this amazing book told in a male’s POV. This book was beautifully written with a strong voice, a great blend of love and drama. The dialog was witty and hilarious, the characters fascinating and funny.

Tyler is moved from Hawaii to Scotland and is furious. But he tries to adjust as best as he can. He’s more mature but he still gets himself in some sticky situations. Tyler can’t resist temptation. As much as he tries to fight it, he can’t resist his gorgeous boss and Naval officer. It's really powerful and strong women that Tyler loves, especially if their drop dead gorgeous. Tyler does love the ladies but there’s something really special about Darcy Novak. When the star-crossed lovers meet, forbidden love eventually ensues. There is also Charlotte Kemp who adds a nice twist to the story.

The components of the story—the pacing, and the drama and humor along with lots of hot passion—are gracefully assembled, successfully building drama and pushing the story while adding complexity to the characters. One thing I loved about this book was how the characters and their stories stayed with me long after I’ve read the last page. To me, that’s the sign of an awesome book.

Tyler is so witty and funny in his everyday life and I couldn’t get enough of the humor in this book. My favorite parts were the romance, passion, and humor. I give this book 5 stars without a doubt and would definitely read more from this talented author. I really liked Tyler’s character and playboy approach to women. But he meets his match when he meets a woman that is like no other he has ever met.

I am absolutely ecstatic for all you to read this book!! I was thoroughly entertained all the way through. It was refreshing to read a kind of story through a male's writing. "Forbidden Trouble" has it all and then some. It has humor, drama, (But not too much), love, romance, passion. You name it. I loved each of the characters in their own way. This is a story about star crossed lovers unlike any other story you will ever read about star crossed lovers. Tyler is a man in the Navy that gets screwed over and thrown onto a ship that he doesn't want to be on...Until he meets Lt. Novak. Tyler knows that since he is only a petty officer and nothing can happen since she out ranks him, but it doesn't stop him from fantasizing about her. Without giving any more away, I will let you decide if you want to know what happens in the end. I would definitely recommend this book to those of you that are looking for something a little different than the beautiful poor girl/guy that a millionaire falls in love with. :) Thank you so much Travis Casey for allowing me to read and review your marvelous work of art, and I would be happy to read anything else you throw my way.

Forbidden Trouble is a book filled with humor, misunderstandings, some bad luck, along with a great amount of romance. I have read very few books written in an all male point of view. But I enjoyed reading from Tyler's point of view because trouble really did seem to find him. It seemed that anytime something good was going to happen he either said something to mess it up or another case of bad luck happened to him. I really liked the key characters in this book. My favorite was probably Billy Earl. It seemed like any scene he was in, I found myself laughing. This really was a fun and lighthearted book to read. The relationship between Tyler and Darcy is a forbidden relationship because of their positions in the Navy. Despite that and some other troubles that arise, the relationship between them really is special and beautiful.

Forbidden Trouble is the final book in the Tyler's Trouble Trilogy Series. However, I think this book could be read as a stand alone book. I really liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a light and funny romance.

Four Star Review

Forbidden Trouble is book three in the Tyler's Trouble Trilogy . This book is full of humor and romance. I have to say that it took me a few chapters to really get into the story, but once I did, I really enjoyed it! I also enjoyed reading it from Tyler's point of view.

What can I say about Tyler? Trouble seemed to find him around every corner. He lacked a filter and would say the worst things to people at the most improper times. He had me laughing throughout the whole story.

When Tyler meets Darcy, he knows she is off limits. She is his superior, and the Navy prohibits fraternization between Officers and Enlistees. Tyler and Darcy just can't seem to stay away from one another, so they end up in a secret relationship. They are soon caught in a comprising situation, and all hell breaks loose. They each have to make some pretty difficult decisions regarding their careers and relationship.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a military type love story.

"Forbidden Trouble" is a fascinatingly well written novel that is impossible to put down. Once I began to read this book, i became completely entranced in all of the characters, especially Tyler. Tyler is definitely a wild card but he's a character that you will love to hate. "Forbidden Trouble" is spicy and delicious and filled with powerful beautiful people who may or may not be backstabbing one another. I absolutely adore this book and I cannot wait for the next book in the trilogy.

Shits and giggles

This book was well written! It kept me engaged from beginning to end. This traditionally isn’t a book that I would pick up myself, but it was recommended by a good friend. This friend never seems to disappoint. Though I’m not a fan of romantic novels, this particular book was action packed and took many unsuspecting twists and turns. At some point in the novel I became frustrated with the main character’s shinanigans as he always seems to get into some crap. The author definitely highlights how luck plays a huge part in his life. Just as things begin to work In his favor, his luck lands him in ever deeper crap. Still somehow karma plays it’s part and begins to works on his behalf to help him avoid irreversible consequences. I do love the way the author set up conflicts in the story and the way things tie together in the end. If I ever did believe in the phrase “shits and giggles” this story is definitely it. 💩 😂

Perspective is Everything!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading a love story from a man’s perspective! As part of a trilogy, I was able to stay intrigued all along which is sometimes difficult as a reader if the content is not entertaining enough. The characters, descriptions and dialogue brought this trilogy to life keeping me engaged throughout.

I am not typically a romance fan, but this had lots of adventure and twists to keep me engaged. I also liked reading from Tyler Chambers’ unique POV—I’ve never read a romantic novel from the male’s perspective, let alone a sort of bad boy or “playboy” who can’t resist temptation. Often times, I wanted to shake him, but at the same time he had a good heart under it all it was easy to root for him. When he falls for Darcy Novak, plenty of juicy conflict ensues. Thankfully, the story had lots of satisfying resolution at the end – the plot really comes together, along with strong characters and witty dialogue, for a captivating ride.

Forbidden Trouble is the third book in the Tyler's Trouble Trilogy and the first book I have read by Travis Casey. I have to start off by saying I really enjoyed this book. The story was evenly paced out, well written and the characters were full of life. The other thing I really enjoyed was reading a romance novel written by a man's POV. I think Travis did an amazing job with Tyler and Darcy's journey to find love and the sex scenes were steamy with a nice touch of humor added in. Travis had my laughing all the way to the end.

What is not to love about Petty Officer Tyler Chambers? He's in the Navy, he's sexy with a bit of humor added in and he speaks his mind (even if it lands him in trouble). When Tyler see's something he wants he goes after it, even if it's forbidden, just like Darcy Novak.

Lieutenant Darcy Novak is Tyler's boss and she is off limits. Problem is Tyler can't seem to get Darcy of his mine. His playboy days are quickly coming to an end. Can Tyler forget about Darcy? Will Darcy risk everything for Tyler? I suggest you read Forbidden Trouble to find out.

Another Hit!

Wonderful conclusion to Tyler's Trouble Trilogy. I have to admit, I'm going to really miss Tyler and all the trouble he gets himself into. I have loved this series throughout, eagerly reading each book as quickly as possible. Tyler is on point with his usual antics in this book, but he also has some unique challenges and finally a leading lady to give him a run for his money. Will Tyler finally settle down or is he forever destined to be the drunken sailor who makes us laugh?

And laugh I did. This last book in the series had some of the funniest scenes of all! I loved the dynamics and humor between Tyler and his fellow shipmates, especially the women. It was also great to see the more tender side of Tyler as he interacts with sexy Darcy Novak and struggles to be a man worthy of her attentions. Another great book by Travis Casey! I'm sad to see Tyler's story come to an end, but I'm anxious to see what Travis Casey has in store for us next! Another fantastic book!

Poor Tyler Chambers, if it weren't for bad luck, he'd truly have no luck at all. A young Navy man hell bent on enjoying his next assignment, Tyler is tossed into a different assignment than he wanted, puts up with officers who blame him for things that go wrong, meets up with the wrong women, then develops a "thing" for his boss...Naval officer Darcy Novak.

In this brilliant story, Travis Casey has not only given us love and romance from a male viewpoint, but he has given us a peek into how a man really thinks, feels, and acts. This novel has many unexpected turns, it has humor and it has romance that truly tugs at your heart.

Even though Forbidden Trouble is the 3rd book in a series, it reads as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book...it WILL make you smile.

Tyler Chambers is in trouble again! Although he's no stranger to disciplinary action, he's awestruck by the beautiful officer doling out the well earned Sanction. Tyler bites off more forbidden fruit than he can chew, landing him in a world of trouble.
Travis Casey writes in such a way that through every one of Tyler's shenanigans, I'd get nervous and sit on the edge of my seat. I'm going to miss Tyler Chambers! Please write him another series!
Travis Casey has created a bad boy that I've grown to love and I'm sorry the trilogy is over. I look forward to reading more from Travis Casey in the future!

I quite liked this book, because it was quite different for a romance novel. Written entirely from the male perspective and set on a navy ship it certainly broke the mould. The characters were quite interesting too. The main character Tyler was young, immature but mature at the same time so he was very different to the alpha males you normally find. There was lots of funny moments, one which had me laughing out loud which doesn't happen often. The last quarter of the book was a bit too jam packed to wrap up the ending but overall a great read.

I was new to the author but took a chance on reading it. I was delighted from the start. The humor was age appropriate for an adult. I laughed right on the bat on the first page. I can genuinely say that even reading as a child I have never had such delight. I love the the main character and his humor. Tyler reminded my of old guys I used to date and could related. You will not be disappointed with this book. I recommend it now with all that is happening.

Forbidden Trouble is a romance told from the male point of view. I was curious to see how the male perspective would be handled in a romance. Casey’s prose is competent and sometimes mildly humorous, but there were shortcomings in the plot and characterization. Amusing at first, I quickly tired of the protagonist, Tyler Chambers, going through the world in a testosterone-induced lust haze for anything “female.” Things picked up in the second half, mainly because Tyler fell in love with his superior officer, Darcy Novak. That propelled him into a series of screw ups that led to various types of self-induced trouble. The final chapters were especially problematic for me when Tyler goes to meet Darcy’s family in Kentucky. Her father and mother and the life they lead made me want to run the other way as fast as possible. I also was not a fan of some the stereotyping of certain characters. This is an okay read, not great, but not terrible either.

Boring

If you want a detailed description of every little thing. The main character is dull and makes very little sense. There are some good moments but the book is just so full of cliches and stereotypes its n just a waste of time.

I REALLY loved this book

Tyler Chambers had such funny expressions when he was tongue tied. I want to be like Darcy when I grow up. Their relationship gave me goosebumps, and made me laugh out loud!!
I highly recommend this book and I am leaving my honest review.
