Contains coarse language, consensual sex, and moderate violence including threat (but not completion) of sexual violence. The story can stand alone but will be more enjoyable if the series is read in order.

“If Janet Evanovich’s quirky humour met Robert Ludlum’s taut thrillers, the Never Say Spy series would be their love racy, fun, and action-packed.”

By profession, I’m a technical writer, computer geek, and ex-interior designer. I’m good at two out of three of these things. I had the sense to quit the one I sucked at.
To deal with my mid-life crisis, I also write adventure novels featuring a middle-aged female protagonist, Aydan Kelly. And I kickbox.
This seemed more productive than indulging in more typical mid-life crisis activities like getting a divorce, buying a Harley Crossbones, and cruising across the country picking up men in sleazy bars. Especially since it’s winter most of the months of the year here.
It’s much more comfortable to sit at my computer. And hell, Harleys are expensive. Come to think of it, so are beer and gasoline.
Oh, and I still love my husband. There’s that. I’ll stick with the writing.
Basic Details: Book Title: Spy, Spy Away Subtitle: (Never Say Spy #7) Author: Diane Henders Genre: Spy/Mystery Part of a series? Yes Order in series: 7 Best read after earlier books in series? Can be read on its own but better after the 1st six Available: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... Overall score: I scored this book 5/5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Short Summary of the book: The story continues and middle-aged widowed bookkeeper Aidan Kelly still works as a secret agent. Now she needs to continue pretending she is a seasoned secret agent to protect one of her lovers. Fuzzy Bunny has caught up with her and want to recruit her alter-ego Arlene Widdenback as an arms dealer. Sirius Dynamics want her to get the prototype of a new weapon and want her to play along. An unexpected wedding and a plane crash are only two of the things to happen in this book. What I liked about the book: I loved this book as much as I did the first six. As in the other books there are many twists and turns mixed with humour and I just love the sassy Aidan Kelly. What I didn’t like about the book: There is nothing in the book I didn’t like. My favourite bits in the book: Too many to count, I loved the book. My least favourite bits in the book: There were no least favourite bits. The book makes you want to read on and not stop after the next. Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author? That is the good news, there are 14 more in the series already and I can’t wait for no. 15. What books could this be compared to and why? Recommendation: In summary, I would recommend this book for the following readers:
Children No Young Adult Yes Adult Yes
If you like a tongue-in-cheek spy mystery this book may be the book for you.
I look forward to reading more books by this author. Book Description by Author: Book 7 of the NEVER SAY SPY series

This series involved kane and Sudan going undercover to find a prototype within the enemy headquarters. They find themselves battling to stay alive and land a her plane with no pilot and neither one of them know how to fly a plane. Intense action and explosive outcome.
I have already started the next book. They just keep getting better and better. I feel like the people in these books are my friends and I have to follow their ongoing adventures.
This wonderful story was the usual mix of insanity and gut-wrenching action in between crippling emotional breakdowns and crazy operations to help save the nation. I LOVED it.
Another amazing novel by a wonderful author. Those of you who are already fans of Diane Henders Never Say Spy series will find the same exceptional quality in Spy, Spy Away, as we found in the first 6 books.
Ayden is still trapped into acting as a spy inspite of her lack of training. No one believes her even when she tires to "fess up"; Fortunately her innate talents, luck, and great friends keep her alive for another round. Her relationship issues haven't gotten any easier, but I almost don't want that settle because too much would have to change for anything to work out. and I want this series t last for a long time.
Germain from the team in the first book is back! As are all of the people we have become so attached to as well as some we haven't. AND there are a couple of real twist. Wow. Have fun.
If you have not read the series, I strongly suggest that you do so before reading this one for a solid understanding of the characters. She has done a good job of clarification for anyone who chooses to read it as a stand-alone without retailing the whole series for those of us who have been following her from the beginning.
So completely out of character but I spent a good portion of this one in tears or hovering on the edge of my seat! Seriously Henders, you're gonna give me a heart attack here :) How do you keep doing this to me? Aydan, Arnie and Kane are doing their dangerous routine again and all hell breaks loose. Fuzzy Bunny is recruiting yet has a sneaky way of handling the process. Get ready for another roller coaster...or shall I say, bumpy plane ride. This is a good one that'll get your heart pumping!!
I checked Spy, Spy Away out from my local library. Excellent character advancement in this new book in the Spy series. Once again, the plot deviates from tech/web intrigue into more spy-thriller stuff, but the author doesn't disappoint, as the main story line progresses with some new reveals, and a couple satisfying twists. One of my favorite series-- witty, quirky, a touch of spicy romance, strong although sometimes clueless female protagonist. Always a fun read.
I've loved every book in this series so far, and Spy, Spy Away is no exception. Aydan Kelly is one of my all-time favorite heroines, a kick-ass blend of strength and vulnerability. Each additional book reveals more about her, and about the supporting cast of secondary characters, keeping the series both fresh and familiar.
Aydan, how could you stand to watch Kane get married, how you could continue this game that has turned into real life, how can you continue to protect your friends and at what cost to you? How can one person hold so much power and be powerless at times?
I love this series! It took a long time to find a great book with a female heroine. Book 7 was definitely intense. I'm hoping Aydan lets go and gives it a shot with Kane...
This story line keeps getting better and better. The quirks and shocking surprises through the book will keep pages turning and wanting more. On to book 8.
