Well that was completely unexpected. Man I really want to spoil it. Okay, Hisui is raped by a horde of African vampires, while chanting the ave maria. Damn it, I'm sick.
Leaving the disturbing joke aside, this was a good volume (not great nor excellent). I really not understand why they are such pricks to Rangetsu. I really like her character and I'd really want to see her interact with other characters more but alas, my wish was not granted.
In the story a new villain appears. We 'still' not know much from it, nor why it suddenly decides too do it's villainous deeds. Man spoiler-less reviews are really hard to write...
The story starts slowly and reaches climax around when Hisui goes shopping at the middle of the volume. From there the book turns a bit comical at times. I really like how Rushella's character developed in this novel. From being happy, to felling despair and loneliness. Also Hisui finally reveals his feeling for his foster parent, which I also liked ... a bit.
The story, in overall, was slowpaced reaching the series climax at the epilogue of the novel.
I really don't want to read the final book. I wish the ending is good and all loose ends are closed.
