His interview/conversation books are deeper (but by just a little) and more interesting. Though Itsuki can be more skeptical of science than I'm comfortable with and sometimes his reasoning/method seems questionable at best (walking on all fours for your back pain, anyone?), his basic stance is quite admirable: try everything and see for yourself if it works for you; listen to your body carefully; keep doing what feels good to you and leave the rest. After all, we all have different bodies and genetics. What works for someone might not work for you. I'm also drawn to his acceptance of aging as a natural process that we should try to enjoy
NOTES Some things I thought were interesting: -The pear shape as the ideal Asian body shape? Tip: sigh as many time as you can throughout the day. -Once a week, swallowing without much chewing to stimulate the stomach? (p.99) -Stimulating the extremities / massaging fingers and toes and soles (p. 107)
