Seventeen year old, Cattia Larson, was ready to graduate, but not just from high school. Growing up with her autistic twin brother, Leo, had been challenging, yet finely tempered her for what was about to happen.
Unbeknown to Cattia, she had been chosen and was being primed to be the catalyst for an awesome life-changing future. In the days preceding her graduation ceremony, tragic events trigger a series of what she believes to be very strange dreams. What she discovers, however, is that she's been summoned to embark upon a mission to quell evil in two worlds.
Through it all, Cattia maintains her indomitable spirit and quite unexpectedly and by accident ... falls in love.
I really enjoyed the story it was well-written and I liked the heroine. She struck me as a kind and compassionate person.
The reason I 4 starred instead of 5 was because she dropped the F bomb. I generally prefer a more clean-cut novel. Of course most of you are probably not as prudish as I am.
I received this book for free from a good reads' giveaway.
I would probably rate this book a 3.5. It definitely has an original story line, but I felt like there could have been either more character development or character backgrounds. I also do not know what purpose the love interest served. Overall, it is an interesting and unique story.
