I prefer a book with our as much explanation of the sex, but the book was well written and good plot even with my having to skip some of the descriptive sex.
Samantha was trapped and there was nothing she could do about it, if she refused, Emily or Tim would die. After all that she had lived through, the orphanage, no jobs, no money, no family, no she had no choice.
Rance Harding knew there had to be a good reason that his brother asked to have first contact with the masked woman, he just had to find her. Having caught her he was on his way to deliver her when he was caught off guard. Taking a knock to the head he was out cold. No, Samantha was out numbered, three to one and no one to help her!
What did I like? There are several things I like about this book. The first is it takes place in the eighteen hundreds, a era that I love. Western are one of my favorite genre and this one has been great. The other thing I really like is this is a continuing story about Sarah, Jace, Samantha and Rance. The first book told us about Sarah and Jace, how they meet, fell in love and married. Now book two is about Samantha and Rance, how they meet and fall in love.
What did I dislike? The author did her job, I really hate Sully Moss! Outlaws are bad news but when they threaten the life of a child they are scum.
What will you like? This book is even better than the first and it was good. There is more action plus more laughter. Lots of twists and turns but the action will keep you turning the pages fast. I could hardly put this down. Very detailed with better descriptions and the characters leap off the pages. You'll fall even more in love with Emily, she is so cute. I have the last book in the series and I'm off to read it. Great storyline, don't miss out on the funny, serious, romantic and sexy read.
This is the first time I've read this author and I rather enjoyed it. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because there was some poor typo's and wrong words used. I'm usually not a grammar snob but some were rather bad and make the story's flow mess up where I had to re read the sentence again to make sense of it. Overall the story had a great intone to it. I really could get into the characters and it seemed like I was right there with them. This story had drama, mystery, intrigue, love, and sex. It was really a very enjoyable story.
