Things are very different in the Space Age! When the Jetsons go to the Space Age Shopping Center, high above the clouds, Mr. Jetson sends Elroy off with Astro at his heels. After all, they can't get lost because Mr. Jetson can always call Elroy on the radio. Then someone bumps into Mr. Jetson and his transmitter is broken! Now he can't call Elroy and Elroy can't call him! Judy says, Maybe Astro will help. Dogs ued to be goood at finding things with their noses." But this is the Space Age and dogs' noses are not as good as they used to be.
This is a science fiction fantasy story. It's about a family that lives in otter space. The Jetsons live in a futuristic utopia of elaborate robotic contraptions that allows this family to live leisurely. Daily life is assisted by numerous labor saving devices, but when there was a malfunction everyone complains about the exhausting hard labor.
I gave this book four stars because I thought the author did a great job of moving the plot of the story while living on a far away galaxy. He truly created the products of a technological world. The book was humorous and sometimes just plain funny because the content was outrageous.
I would recommend this book to children 5 years of age to 8 years old. I think they would enjoy the freedoms experienced by the families. This father was able to spend time with the children helping with homework and playing together. This book was later turned into a television sitcom that I also enjoyed
Loved reading this Little Golden Book about my favorite childhood cartoon. The illustrations are just so charming and, even though it's not a very long book, it was lovely to flip through. Reliving the memories of Saturday morning cartoons was really fun.
