Rate this book
Federal Appeals Court Judge Giovanni Micco met an untimely death, but before his unexpected passing he had authored a novel identifying the members of a secret cabal housed in the Pentagon who were responsible for his wife's murder. The task of unraveling the murder mystery then falls upon his son, Francesco. Unfortunately, the Judge had stashed his manuscript in a secret hiding place. As Francesco follows a series of clues left by his father, he's led to the the eccentric leader of a secret society, The Rosecross, whose mission is to expose the machination tied to his mother's murder. He joins forces with The Rosecross, but his task is less patriotic. Francesco's charge is to kill the culprits responsible for his mother's murder -one by one.

Granted I’m partial as this book is based on my hometown, New Castle and written by a well respected Judge whose family was always kind to me but I was absolutely enmeshed in this book and could not put it down. It has it all! Family strife, politics, religion, Freemasons, murder, mystery, deception. I could go on and on!!! It’s intimidating as it’s a large 600 book but is an easy read and is hard to put down (I read over a weekend). I’ve sent copies to friends and highly recommend as there is something for everyone. Especially Italian American Catholics, it brings back a lot of tradition and family values! Must, must read!!!

Wow! I enjoyed reading this thinly veiled work of fiction steeped in the author's unique knowledge of American judiciary and politics and Italian American culture.
