I borrowed this as an audiobook from the library. It says there’s an accompanying PDF, but I couldn’t find it. It would’ve been helpful, to visualise the sentences & spelling. I still got value out of it, though.
I liked that this is a modern German course. It talked about the formal way to say something, the informal way, & some slang that is commonly used every day. This was great, as we don’t always speak formally. I think it’s great that the creators were a guy from Germany & a girl from America, so they could both contribute what they thought would be helpful for an English speaker learning German. And the general facts about Germany were interesting, too, but some could’ve waited til later in the course. For example, I don’t need to know political parties in the first lesson.
Unfortunately, sometimes they repeatedly practised a sentence in German, but didn’t state what the sentence meant in English until the end. I would’ve preferred to have the English first, then the German, then practise pronunciation by repeating it.
It wasn’t perfect, but I learned some things & would continue with more of their programs.
