The year is 555 A.D. The Romans have long been gone from Britain, and German settlers have been pressing the Brits off their lands. If you like the Dark Ages,read this book.
The story follows the adventures of a young German hunter and warrior as he travels about the British isles. It is a time when the Celtic people are defending their lives and land from the Anglo-Saxon invaders Wulfblaec the book's main character sees his beliefs challenged as he gradually changes from a barbarian to a man open to different ways of living.
