The Hound and Falcon books will likely always have a special place in my heart. I found this short story almost on accident, and it made me wish Judith Tarr would write just one more book set in that world. (And then another, and another. Of course.) I want to know what became of the elf people, whether they ever did come back or if they closed all the doors completely and went somewhere else.

I suppose I never will know, but it's still good to get this little glimpse of how their doorway survived.

It was okay. I feel like I would have preferred more in this story instead of the snippet. It was like there was a whole 'nother story before this and Death and the Lady picked up after it. I'm not sure if that sufficiently describes it.
