SLAVE NARRATIVES

A short first hand account of former slaves in their own words . I didn't like the mechanical voice used it cheapened the accounts value and made it difficult to continue listening . I continued because I wanted to hear the contents of what was written for it's historical value.

Another good book in this series

I like this series of books because I'm very interested in African American history. I was raised a white Southerner and find these books fascinating. I always saw the bad way that white people treated black people in the South. It's refreshing to know not all white Southerners were mean to their fellow human beings.
