This book is a charming book for children or cat lovers of any age. Each page comes with a few facts and an adorable photograph of kittens and cats. In the span of sixty pages, Zimmerman covers it all from the time kittens are born up to adulthood. She even covers the adoption process and how to care for cats at home.
Although many cats have lived in my home, I did not know that cats can turn their bodies in mid-air so that they land on their feet or that they must come down a tree backward. Families who are thinking of adopting a cat will find all the information they need in this book. Children who love animals will adore the pictures. It is a perfect choice for a family read-aloud or a classroom discussion book. Recommended for all ages.

Informative and Well Photographed-
This is a wonderfully informative book about cats from the time they are born until the time that they get used to you (after you've adopted one). There are over fifty pages of photographs helping to display the many facts on cats which are presented.

Great book for kids
I actually am a cat person and found out a couple things I didn't know. This book is great for kids and adults alike.

The pictures are cute and adorable. Learning about newborn cat facts is very interesting. Newborn kittens weigh about 4 ounces when They are born. They can also not regulate their own body temperature. No wonder they slept all over their mom and brother and sisters. It takes about nine days before they can hear. It's very interesting why. It takes a few months before their eye colors change. I can say yes on that on the one. How long do you think It is before a kitten purrs?
This book is full of interesting things about kittens. One more before I back off gracefully, lol. All cats noses are unique. They are as unique as a finger print for humans.

About covers everything one ma want to know about cats!
What a wealth of information about cats, and many photos of each stage of a kittens life. From just being born till a full grown cat. Beautiful photos too, so I felt this needed five stars.
