This tale--of an Irish-American surgeon teaming up with his brother-in-law and the Irish police to catch his wife's murderer--moves along well enough, but it's a fairly by-the-numbers, tepid affair. And that's apart from the unlikelihood of a surgeon quickly becoming a weapon-savvy, James Bond-like avenger. Not really worth the time.

Listened to this one while commuting. It kept me entertained enough while driving. Gerry O'Brien who narrated it was great!

This was the final book of Carson's I have read and I would argue very much the best. It is well written, detailed and the raw grit of Nolan and Higgins going after Laura's killer is brilliant. In Sean Kennedy is a villain that would rival most and Carson could easily do a prequel on just him !! Good book, and would recommend it to those who like a good drug fuelled tourist trip around the world and specifically Dublin.

Slow in parts, fast in parts. Not a huge fan of the writing style, but thought it had a good plot line. Not a favorite read but I think it could make a great movie.
