I got this gem at a used bookstore for 25 cents and I still paid too much. This is the story of how Broward County, Florida and U.S. Customs agents go after a major drug lord. With the possible exception of Darrell Casey, the drug lord, none of the characters is the least bit believable. The dialogue is hokey beyond belief. Essentially, we end up with something akin to a comic book.

Perhaps with a different author and a real editor this book could have been something more than a waste of trees. There was potential for something worth reading. The main story was worth exploring, but there were subplots that were completely pointless such as the two "homosexual" enforcers working for Darrell Casey who begin to suspect that the woman (An undercover cop) sleeping with Casey might be a mole. Rather than digging deeper into this storyline the author simply ends it.

As bad as this book was it turns out that there was a sequel to it. Why, I can't begin to imagine.
