3.5 stars, pretty good light read with drama, love and a scandalous female. I was feeling Kory, rooting for Tiffany and screwing my face up at Tressa ugh. Overall well written and entertaining story. It was my first read by this author but I plan to read more of her work.

This was an interesting story....Tiffany went through a lot of things to get to her HEA....Tressa Green was a bad spoiled seed that gave both Tiffany and Kory a very hard time. Tiffany rise in her career was really good for her and a major boost to her self-esteem....That's when she came in contact with Tressa & Colby would both were into the wrongs things....finally, Tiffany & Kory was finally able to get together to find their HEA. But, of course there's a part 2.....so let's hope this couple are able to maintain their HEA.....

In compliance with FTC guidelines, my friend received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads and suggested I read it as well.

Well, Anna Black does it again! This is the second book of her's that I've read with a 5 star rating. She is batting two for two. I couldn't help but compare the writings of Ms. Black to Ms. Dunlap, both women are excellent writers. Their books will keep you coming back for more. While reading this book, I kept thinking if Ms. Dunlap could get her editor...

Now, Tressa was INSANE! I loved her dad though, Mr. Green was the business. This book was pop, pop, sizzle, sizzle, BOOM! There were characters all up in this book. I laughed and talked to the book the whole time I read the book. The descriptions were so vivid I could see the set of BOY CRAZY. Tiffany was the business woman we all want to be. I don't want to say too much to ruin the story but that last scene was cold blooded and I loved the fact that Mr. Green finally put his foot down.

I will definitely be reading more works by this author.

By luck, Tiffany landed in the spot light, well more so behind it. She's doin' her as the producer and writer of a hit show called Boy Crazy. When her creative direction goes right, her professional career goes left. By chance, she runs into Kory, an old friend from high school. She is floating on cloud nine, but when jealousy rears its ugly head in Hollywood, its only fitting that her rain cloud bursts and all hell breaks loose.


I enjoyed this read tremendously. I have been in a book funk since the New Year and haven't really gotten into many books as I'd hoped, but this read gave me life. The plot flowed and was filled with drama. A little more suspense could have been added and some scenes were predictable but the characters and their interactions gave the storyline some flair. There was a satisfying ending, but it made me wonder if there could be more to come as Anna Black is known for having different characters from other books appear elsewhere.

The book grabs your attention right from the start. It does get a little monotonous at some points with the "speaking and not speaking." I gave it 5 stars because it was a good story that was well delivered and also for the actions of Mr Green who used is eyes and his head to make decisions rather than emotion.

This was was phenomenal. The story line was fantastic with crazy, vivid and quite of often very violent characters. esp. Tessa Langley. Tiffany. Richardson is a very strong, hard working and determined young lady. I love how, unconditionally Kory Banks loved her.

I- yalll pls this book was so…. Bad? Like I mean it wasn’t the worst thing ever but I didn’t enjoy it by any means 😭 let’s start with how EVERY SINGLE MAIN CHARACTER SUCKS like they are all bad ppl im sorry 💀 they all cheat and lie every single one of them. Like how we gonna make ole girl look crazy and evil for thinking you and Tiffany have something going on WHEN YOU DO you actually did want to cheat with her so tressa isn’t crazy she was RIGHT. How you gonna be mad at ur daughter for telling you that her man and his friend are trying to get together WHEN THEY ARE LIKE WTF like no just a whole bunch of lying and cheating like the male mc isn’t even attractive to me atp cuz and TIFFANY how u gonna get a man and then be like I really don’t care about my career anymore WHEN IN THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK THATS ALL YOU CARED ABOUT like wtf

GREAT READ

This book was really good and I can’t wait to read book 2!!!…I love how Tiffany happened into a room and is now a breakout star and producer!!!…
Tressa really thought she had a plan only for it to backfire on her!!!…Her friends were not even down for the foolishness and I was glad daddy stood firm on her getting her act together!!!…She didn’t get that inheritance, but she still has her parent’s bank acct in her pocket!!!…
It’s crazy how that leaked video actually helped when Tressa thought it would be the downfall!!!…I guess she forgot it was a reality show Tiffany was doing!!!…

My first time reading a book by Anna Black. I plan to read more! This book is good! Reminds me of the saying, "The ditch you dig for someone else may very become your own." Tressa is such a bitter person. She had so many blessings but did not know how to appreciate them! I was rooting for Kory to see the vile human being she is. Hopefully he and Tiffany live a beautiful, happy life. I get the feeling that Colby and Tressa will interfere! Cannot wait to read part 2.

I really liked this book and was able to get engulfed in the success and failures of Tiffany's relationships. I'm a fan of Anna Black's writing style and I liked that I was able to see each character's perspective and reasoning behind their actions. Good read. I will definitely be reading the sequel.

A quick read. Tessa is a spoiled brat and a drug addict. Tiffany is a successful TV producer who grew up with Tessa's fiance' and who also has hidden a love for him from everyone. This book was entertaining simply because I couldn't believe the things that Tessa did to keep Tiffany from succeeding. This book is typical chic lit.

I am new to this author and i gave this book a shot because i want to give different authors a shot. This book was just ok. There were points where I was certain it was going to take off but it never really did. It was kind of corny the way that it ended. I'm invested to see how part 2 will pan out. I really hope part 2 makes me a fan of this author.
