Resist the Devil: The devil is causing all of man’s problems on earth and believers have been given the authority to stop him

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Jesus is good. The devil is bad. Even a little child can understand who is causing man’s problems. Ask a little child who is causing sickness and pain, Jesus or the devil? The answer will always be “the devil”. Ask a little child who is causing wars and human suffering, Jesus or the devil? The answer will always be “the devil”. Ask a little child who is causing children to go hungry, Jesus or the devil? The answer will always be “the devil”. Ask a little child who is causing family breakups, Jesus or the devil? Again, the answer will always be “the devil”.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9)
