Shadow Walker was satisfying as both a mystery and a romance. With a skinwalker wreaking havoc on a college campus, the school was shut down when two bodies were discovered in a barn. With no where else to go, Bethanie was taken in by her former professor who lived near the college and vowed to protect her. I loved their slow burn romance as both Shadow and Bethanie worked their way toward healing raw emotional wounds.

One part bothered me a little bit though. A mental illness was mentioned, and while this particular one could cause a person to act abusively, most people who have it do not act out in the way described.

There were some typos in the text, and I thought it could use some editing but was so engrossed I took little notice.

I really enjoyed this book. It could have been a little bit longer, but that's just me. The story was interesting. I personally liked the fact that it didn't turn into one of those "cheesy" romance novels where the whole story is just sex, there's an actual plot. lol It's very tasteful and could fit into just a mystery category. So if either romance,mystery or both is your kinda thing then give this a read.
