The Stuck with A series is Castle gone-country with The Mom Squad and a crazy-ass aunt also in the barnyard. For Stuck with a Spell there’s a bit of Bewitched tossed into the mix. Think hex an ex.
Nicky Blane, a Bestselling Author and Farmer-in-the-making, doesn’t need to look far to find creative inspiration for his novels. His crazy-ass Aunt Liza, a wanna-be witch, lives next door. But this time, she’s blown it big-time with a hex on her ex that’s gone a wee bit awry.
Think graveyards and Voodoo dolls, spell-casting and cauldrons, potions, raw emotions, and more

A great read but just a quick question - when did Sam and the Captain get together? Certainly not in the first book. Our characters have their hands full. Aunt Liza is on her spell casting kick. Except she's mixing a whole lot of different cultures into her own version of events. Now nobody expects it to work but it seems like the exploding gasoline drums have give her spell a kick. Her ex is in hospital as is Sam's. A bit of questioning has them worried. Not only are the two due for more pain but Liza isn't going to stop. Research, voodoo dolls, reverse spells and then the news that Nick's ex is also at the hospital. Can they bind her from casting more spells? It might seem a bit out there but there does seem to be some proofing that voodoo, hoodoo and Día de Muertos spells do work for some.
I loved the witty tongue-in-cheek approach. I loved the variety of eccentric, brilliant characters. So why the 4 stars? Simply because I found myself frequently unable to figure out which viewpoint I was seeing things from as I began each new chapter. A addition to chapter headings would sort that out so easily.
If I was going to say anything bad about this sequel was that it was too short. I wanted more of the interchange between Nicky and Sam.... Great charactors, hope there is more about Granny!
