I met Luran at Intonation 2006. Here skyline tattoo was what first drew me to talk to her, but we ended up swapping zines. Her photocopied, rubber band-bound book "So Midwest" jumps around a lot, but it's mostly about thriving on a shoestring budget in a big city; the politics (or lack thereof) of punk, gender and queer-core, why Whole Foods is a joke, and how to live the "good life" as an after-hours street urchin, with colorful tales of drinking, dancing and screwing with people in general.
