This is a story about a basketball player who had it all but suddenly is faced with the struggle of a lifetime and how the family will work through this time and deal with their own struggles to become a family. Good read although it was a little slow in parts and took some time getting into it. It’s a good book to read especially when you are going through a tough time because it grounds you in who made you and who you should rely on for help. Instilling more hope and faith into dark times. I wonder how this would have turned out if the characters in the book were not all wealthy, educated, well know characters. The love story was cute.
Loved it! Loved it! I've read one other book by this author when she co-wrote with Victoria Christopher Murray and it was great. But this was my first of her by herself. Simply awesome! They way she show how the power of prayer works thru God with a family praying together was breath taken. The trials the family endured yet never giving up. And OMG the roll the father played leading the family, if we only had more men like that in life today.
I didn't enjoy this book although I did finish it. The story line was great! However, for a Christian fiction book, there are too many scenes where sex is implied. I also didn't enjoy the curse words that were put into the story. I choose to read C.F. to avoid those unneeded things. I will not read anything else by Linda Hudson-Smith.
This book will have you crying and wanting the best for the family. This was a page Turner and bring me some tissue kind of book. It pulls you into the story. Overall A GREAT BOOK.
