White Christmas: cute Santa & Mrs Claus stand ins. 15 yrs is a waste. Partridge, in a Pear Tree: A cat named Partridge, a pear tree in the new neighbor's yard, ladder in the tree, climbing the tree, rescued by the neighbor and dinner interrupted by his ex. This had some fun moments.
A lovely set of two christmas stories from Emily Harvale. Although the stories are short they are written well with good characters you can warm to and have a lovely Christmassy feel to them.
Sometimes I like reading short stories in between of full story, which is why I chose this one, which has two wonderfully romantic and uplifting short stories for Christmas.
They were both very short, about 30 pages each, they were both very lovely reads although I preferred the second story ‘Partridge... In a Pear Tree’ to the first one, it gelled with me more, was more believable plus it had a cat in the story, I love pets in stories.
Anyway if your after a quick short read, then you should definitely give this a go, plus Emily Harvale is a great author who knows how to write lovely entertaining stories. Her full lengthy books are just wonderful, well the majority that I’ve read so far that is.
