“In honor of the tenth year of Solomon, son of David, the beloved of the Lord, king in Jerusalem, I have been commissioned to record the chronicles of those warriors known as the Mighty Men for you, great king. They were the men who came to your father in his hour of need. They were the men who fought with him. They were men, and that is the highest that can be written of them…”
Eliahba is a mere boy who has been thrust into Saul’s army as it hopelessly defends the mountains of Gilboa against a Philistine onslaught. He must endure the unthinkable in order to survive…and one day become a member of the elite Giborrim.
The Hall of the Mighty Men is a companion series to the Lion of War novels about the wars of King David. Narrated by Jehoshaphat, the historian of King Solomon, this collection of short stories expands the Lion of War literary universe and contains epic battles and adventures unable to be included in the novels.
Interesting story as it coincided with Eliam and the battle told in the second book in the series. Too bad the author did not complete the 4th and 5th books.
Too Short! But exactly what it is designed for. Cliff brings these men to life in an unparalleled way that compliments the Bible. Any soldier, sailor, airmen, or marine would immediately associate with Cliff Graham's characters. Any person interested in expanding their Biblical knowledge would also prosper from his writings.
Graham has created something very special! Historically accurate and tastefully embellished! These short stories add to the novels. It is just sad to see the marketing greed involved in the organization of these offerings.
