Okay so I'm only in the early chapters of this book and I'm trying really hard to get into it. Idk but it just seems lacking. There are quite a few typos in the eBook edition and its making it hard for me to read. :( ill finish it I'm just not sure when its kinda boring at the moment. Hoping it gets better bc I loved the other books.

I loved this entire series; I breezed through them in less than a week, I just couldn’t put them down. I really loved the premise of the story and Ms. Boyd wrapped up the series beautifully. There were no questions left unanswered. I wasn’t very surprised about the betrayals, however, that didn’t take away anything from the story for me. I will most definitely looking for from Abigail Boyd! The only reason I gave it three stars is because of the typos, they were in all the books, not enough to really bother me, but this one there was more, and to me seemed more like hurried editing. It happens though and will not deter me from anyone her writing.

Very satisfying conclusion! And the young characters definitely seem older and wiser than they were at the start of the series, which makes great sense considering the series takes place over 3 years plus.
I would have liked for the Other Worlds to be explained a bit more, but on the other hand, trying to explain them would probably have given the story a more religious tone which I would not have liked at all.
So, kudos to a great finish!

Happy to see this story end, and not have it dragged out anymore. This was a good book as are the other 3. It was the perfect length and nothing was really drug out. Plus we have a happy ending yay!

This was a great ending to the series. All in all, I think even though these books were very cheesy and improbable in some ways, there was something so engrossing about them; I couldn't put them down and devoured the series in a few days. I loved the characters. I found it all emotionally believable. There was a lot of intrigue that kept me guessing at each twist and turn. It was suitably dark and creepy when it needed to be, and funny and lighthearted when that was appropriate. I'm really glad I picked these up.

There were a few times that I felt like the story was going off in a direction that I didn't really care for, and there were just 10 thousand things happening at the end, so it seemed pretty rushed and all over the place... but by the end of it all, I have to admit that I really loved this series and the way that it all wrapped up in this book. A nice read. Definitely worth the time!

VELOCITY is the last installment to the GRAVITY SERIES by Abigail Boyd, an independent author. I fell in love with her first book, GRAVITY, and had to jump into the others as soon as possible. If you read my reviews for UNCERTAINTY and LUMINOSITY, then you would know that I devoured them both in one day. VELOCITY was no different.

VELOCITY starts where LUMINOSITY ends. We see the after effect of everything from the first three books. In this book, we get the answers that have been bugging us all through the series.

Like in the other books, Boyd presents a story that I wasn’t quite expecting. I like what happens, but I do wish she could have done more with the ending. There were people in there that I didn’t see being bad guys and I wish she had taken the opportunity in presenting subtle clues. However, I can understand her choice in not doing so because our narrator is a teenager who doesn’t know the full truth. It keeps true to the characters and reminds readers that there is such a thing as an unreliable narrator.

Though I think she could have prolonged it or made it deeper, the book is good and the series doesn’t disappoint. She writes like a teenager thinks and I can’t wait to see more that she has to offer. For an independent author, she’s good. The GRAVITY SERIES is definitely worth checking out.

Check out this post and other great posts at...The Best Books Ever

I am not going to go into a big, long and drawn-out review of all of the reasons that you should read this series. Good Golly Miss Molly, just go read it!

There are ghosts, and demons, and Limbo and Dark and creepy crows and even creepier people. Ghost Grandma, Lady in the Red Dress with the Red, Red Eyes. There are truly great friends, and once in a lifetime loves. There are murders, seances, cults and chanting and magical rocks, and pretty ugly magical necklaces. There is a IMPENETRABLE black fog over a town, and crazed folk running around in cloaks with light shooting out of their fingers. MEAN girls that give mean girls their name.

There is so much goodness in this series, I don't even know where to begin. Don't let the fact that this is a self-published story scare you away. Yes, there are some editing issues, but the story is so good, the characters are so well written and believable and the world-building is so spot on, that you can look past it and have a great time. Ariel, Henry, Theo, Alex, Ariel's dad and Theo's mom. Just give it a shot! Be warned, for people who don't like horror, go into this one lightly. It isn't too scary but there are definitely some spooky and creepy scenes. Otherwise, jump on in and have a great time!

I wrote a big review and it disappeared. Argh. Let's try this again.

I really, really wanted to like this series. I tried. However, I just couldn't. At first, I was drawn in and able to ignore the grammatical issues, but as the books progressed... Oi. By the end of the last book I just wanted it to be over.

On a positive note, the author did an excellent job with the characters. I could picture them vividly and each one had strengths and weaknesses which made them very relatable. It made me care. Which is why I kept reading all the way to the end. I wanted to see how the characters ended up. I also LOVE ghost stories and there were some genuinely spooky scenes and interesting concepts.

Onto the negatives... The writing was just plain rough. This entire series, especially book #4, felt more like a first draft than a final copy. There were loads of grammatical errors, run-on sentences, inconsistencies, and some repetitive writing. Overall, I would give the author another shot. She definitely has potential. In my opinion, she just needs a professional editor. Badly. Self publishing? Awesome. Self editing? A big nope.

Purchased on Amazon today! Finally! I feel like a kid in a candy store......

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this paranormal series. The characters have become like dear friends and while I'm sad for their losses, I'm totally thrilled with their successes! What a great series, made up with powerful twists and turns that keep you up late, and reading till the final page has been turned. Just the right mix of paranormal thrills, young romance and heady plots. I was always guessing what could possibly happen next?!? Could the author really pull this off? YES! She certainly took me for a walk on the wild side. A thrill a minute for sure. I actually shed tears when I'd read the last pages because I was sad that the journey was over and that I'd couldn't spend more time with these wonderful characters that I'd grown fond of. To say I highly recommend this series for readers of all ages is an understatement. My teenagers loved this series as much as their mother did!! A 5 star, thrill a minute, roller coaster ride.

I just finished reading the Gravity Series. I had concerns, initially, that it was going to end up like some weird ESP-laden version of Twilight. Fortunately, Ms. Boyd appears to have far more imagination than Myers.

The books focus on kids at the local high school, so there's a bit of teen-angst. And characters come from both genders, so there's a bit of romance. The kids find themselves trying to sort out a huge conspiracy theory threatening their town, so there's a bit of detective/mystery thrown in, too. And, since one of the main characters sees ghosts, I suppose it'll get labeled as horror, too. I think it's much more action/adventure than horror, myself.

This is pretty good junk food for the brain. It took me a weekend to read all four books (plus book 3.5, comprised of short stories about some secondary characters), but I enjoyed it. I got the first one, Gravity, as a freebie for my Kindle. The others, Uncertainty, Luminosity and Velocity were all $2.99, and book 3.5, Inertia, was $0.99. Frankly $10 for five pretty decent books seems like a fair price.

I really liked the "Gravity" series. The first book is a little slow, as the story is set and Ariel tries to figure out what's happening to her and in her town. Although we've all been through high school, it's hard in your late 20s to relate to high schoolers and the insignificance/pettiness of their everyday problems; once the characters stop spending so much time in school (around the second book), things pick up considerably. The plot is imaginative, not just a little creepy, dark -- and yet classic, in the good-versus-evil kind of way. The series is full of unexpected twists, and I was left surprised at the turn of events on more than one occasion. I flew through all four books in less than a week. Definitely read these -- just push past the trite high school parts and you'll be glad you did!

What a great ending to a wonderful series. the big climatic part of the book/series isn't until towards the end so be ready for that.

I still have so many questions though. I don't remember Ariel bleeding on the seals to close them, but somehow they all closed. I thought that's what Eleanor said she had to do to make sure it was all ended?

Eventually I am going to have to go back and re-read the book, hell, the series. This is one of those series that after you read it the first time you can still go back and re-read and find so much that you missed the first go around.

I went out of my comfort zone on this one, and I am glad that I did!

Oh my freaking bajeesies! This series was amazing. I waited to review it until I was absolutely finished seeings as how I bought the books right after I finished one. I've had the first book, Gravity on my Kindle app for a good long while and was really iffy on reading them but really glad I did. Abigail Boyd creates a flawless story that keeps surprising you until the very end. Loved the whole cult idea and wished more books went in this general direction. I highly recommend reading this series. Besides, the first book is free on Amazon. You won't be disappointed.

This book, this series, had me HOOKED! I was very much on the edge of my seat the whole time I was readying this. Having read the whole series, the characters were very developed so there was little back story which was fine with me. Abigail just jumped right into the thick of things. Her attention to detail is superb and she kept me guessing about the loyalty of some charters right up until the end, and even then I was wrong. Ms. Boyd sure know how to build the suspense and deliver on all her promises! Well written and worth the read for anyone, not just teens,

By far, this was my favorite in the series. I'm sad that it's over, but the ride to the end was worth it. There were plenty of twists and turns and lots of creepy scenes in this one. Trick or Treating will never be the same. ;) The action grabs you and doesn't let you go until the very end. There were a couple of times when I totally felt like the village idiot right along with Henry. It was so good!

This was a great book, and it answered so many of the questions that I had in the previous books. It was kind of a slow build up to the climatic part, but that was okay, because I learned new information along the way. The last 30% of the book is where things start to go crazy! I think in the end, I was happy with the outcome of all of it, and feel like everyone got what they wanted or deserved. If you're into paranormal books, this is a great series!

I finished this series because I started it and felt the need to finish it. But it was tough. So unrealistic. I have no problem with supernatural but when other things are so far fetched and unbelievable I just have issues. For instance there Is suspicious neurosurgeon in the story and all of a sudden he is the doctor treating everyone. Ummm last time I checked a neurosurgeon is not a general practitioner. These are the types of things that grate in my nerves.

Rating for books 1-4: Well-written, fully characterized teenage protagonist who discovers that she can see ghosts at the age of 15. Seems like a good fit for a girl who lives in a town called Hell. Adult characters and their responses are not as believable, but overall an engaging paranormal teen series that can be appreciated by an adult audience.

Ariel Donovan is set on getting the truth of Thornhill society. She is willing to go through anything but when her mom is one of them what could she do. Theo and Alex are growing apart. Madison is becoming more than a arch nemesis. Henry is becoming more of an unrequited love. Life is becoming more haunted what will happen next?

I really loved the first three books in this series but I found this one to be a little slow as far as the progression of the story. However, I still enjoyed reading Velocity and was satisfied with how the author rapped up the story line.

This was a decent series for a beginning author, but really lacked in the editing department. She really should have had people look at them before publishing to clear away all the little mistakes that took away from the storyline.

I loved this series but the one thing that took away from the last book was how suspicious I was of Henry! I kept thinking he was going to sabotage them at any moment because the author did such a good job of making him a villain the previous time! But I loved the epilogue :)

I read all four because I wanted to know how the story ended, but I feel that some of the story was a bit of a stretch even for a paranormal series. The ending was what I hoped for, but I still feel like something was missing...
