Their mom isn't alone; a young girl who they suspect to be their half-sister is living with her, hidden away in a remote town.Soon they discover yet another series of lies that Jonathan has left behind. Not only will the truth expose many surprises for them, but the un-expecting will also be affected in unimaginable ways. With every revelation uncovered, a new secret is exposed-and with every exposure a string of lies are unravelled, all with far reaching consequences.
I love to write about the romance and seduction of the paranormal world, allowing my imagination to create some unforgettable characters.
My debut novel, Enigma (part one of a trilogy) is a must read for all YA fans! There are no vampires, werewolves, witches or ghosts though - so what could there be? I guess you'll have to read it to find out what an Enigma is!
Download Enigma on Amazon today along with part 2, Secrets and part 3, Forever!
I also have another trilogy which you can download too!
Hunted is the story of Cora, an orphaned girl who is special in more than one way. When she meets Logan her world is torn upside down in every way possible!
Part 2, Vanished and Part 3 Destiny are also available for download.
This was a great second book in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it flowed well and there were some fabulous surprises which made it a real page turner. However (and this is not a bad thing) it frustrated the h*** out of me! Books should stir emotions and Aimee Ash has written one that does just that, balancing angst, frustration and action with touching moments and those that are heart-wrenching. As the title suggests there are secrets. And plenty of them...
Continuing on from where Enigma ended, Kate is coming to terms with the fact that she is immortal, has new found abilities and her relationship with Seb. She adapts well, gone is the quiet girl and in her place is a confident women at ease with herself. But she also has the most frustrating, selfish, self-centred attitude; at times I didn't like her much and wanted to shake her! Seb and Jack aren't on the best of terms after the love-triangle debacle; as a result Seb shows insecurities and underneath the tough-guy exterior, Jack is a man in pain and clearly still in love. My heart went out to both of them. I spent the last book agonising over Kate dating the wrong brother and I have spent this book agonising over her dating the wrong brother! Although in all fairness, there were a few occasions that had me thinking she didn't deserve either of them!
Many more characters are introduced bringing additional twists and surprises to the story with them, as do those from the first book and I was pleased that Kate's brother and sister were more central to the story. If you have read Enigma, I doubt you will be disappointed with Secrets. If you haven't, you should read both and I look forward to the final part of the trilogy. The foundations have been laid and I'm sure it'll be another rollercoaster of a read.

With Kate and Seb together now, they uncovered a bunch of letters saying that Seb and Jack's birth mother is still alive and they tell Jack but he doesn't care as the betrayal of Seb and Kate has devastated him so he turns his back on them. Kate and Seb both discover later that Jack is trying to track down their birth mother. There is a lot of secrets that are uncovered in this book and a lot of times I was really shocked by what secrets came out. I loved this book so much and I actually like it better than Enigma as I felt Kate was a lot more mature and was so annoying. She seemed stronger and was more assertive in this book. Great book, Highly recommended read.
After reading Enigma I was disappointed with this. Enigma felt action packed, whereas Secrets didn't feel like much happened. I was disappointed with some of the aspects of the plot, including the Father of Heather's baby. I will read the last installment of the trilogy when it is released, and I hope that after switching from Jack to Seb, Kate doesn't go back to Jack...
