Well, Kerry Dane is certainly a character to remember! The only thing I didn't like about this story was that it felt somewhat shorter than the others I've recently read. Kerry gets her comeuppance way too fast for my liking! I wanted to see her stew for longer! In the end, Elizabeth gets her way, as she always does. I have to wonder if she really was an original Mary Sue, she's so damn good at so many things, but then she does have the terrible faults of temper and naughtiness, of which I hope she never grows out of. All of the Anne Digby books are around the same stars for me, four, with none really standing out as brilliant, while still being tolerably good.

Elizabeth and her friends, Julian and Joan, are at the train station ready to go to Whyteleafe School for second form when there is a meet up to meet Kerry Dane from their favourite movie! Kerry Dane is in a rush so there was no time to meet her but Elizabeth runs after her with her friends and gives Kerry flowers when Kerry throws them away and is very mean about it! When they arrive at Whyteleafe, there is an election for new Head Girl and Boy. Everyone is voting for Thomas as head boy but there is an argument about whether Emma or Nora should be head girl, when Kerry Dane shows up at Whyteleafe! Kerry puts on her acting skills, pretending to be nice and everyone is convinced that Kerry is very nice, when Elizabeth, Joan and Julian know what she is really like. Elections come up and Thomas wins as Head boy and Kerry wins as Head girl! Elizabeth and her friends are very upset, but not so long later, Kerry's true colours show, and Emma is made Head girl!

This book is very interesting because there is a lot of drama with Kerry Dane at Whyteleafe. There a lot of things happening in the book that makes me want to read more and more! There are many plot twists that make the book even better. I definitely recommend reading this book.

When Kerry Dane joins Whyteleafe, Elizabeth isn't pleased. After all, she saw Kerry's true nature in person. And the young actress wants the Head Girl position too but for the wrong reasons. Even Elizabeth's campaign for Emma doesn't pay dividends as Kerry wins the vote, because of her cine popularity.

While Arabella and Elizabeth don't go at loggerheads in this book, a refreshing change, Digby's storyline gives a short term rivalry, and an example of a kind of character one should not be. Enjoyed the tale for that.

This is just a kids book, shall i rate it? Well, let's put it as a good three stars, as three stars could be bad or good.
Sometimes I wonder if the reason barely any passes in these ten books is to avoid the characters having boyrfriends. I noticed in any Enid blyton book or series there is not the slightest mention of anyone liking a boy.

Elizabeth Allen is so pleased to be finally in the second form. She’s able to sit with her best friend Joan and everyone wants her to be a Monitor again! But then film star Kerry Dane turns up as a pupil at Whyteleafe - and only Elizabeth and her friends know that Kerry is not the lovely person everyone thinks she is…

In some ways this book has a great plot and a great villain in Kerry Dale, but in others it’s a bit unbelievable - would a school like Whyteleafe really allow a completely new pupil to become Head Girl, when self-government depends on the Heads knowing the school culture? If the pupils are so easily deceived, should they be allowed to govern themselves at all? But for its child readers, maybe the message that you shouldn’t believe a celebrity is the person in real life that you see on screen is a good one.

I can't believe I've nearly finished the Naughtiest Girl series, this story is about Elizabeth who is going back to school after the summer holidays. Whyteleafe school has a new student the film star Kerry Dane who Elizabeth doesn't like as she has met her before and Kerry wasn't very nice to her, but the whole school thinks that Kerry is amazing and lovely. The school needs to elect a new head boy and girl and Elizabeth thinks that Emma would be an amazing head girl and is upset when Kerry is elected the new head girl. Elizabeth and her friends wait patiently for Kerry to slip up and for everyone to see her true colours.
This was an alright read nothing really stood out and it was just fine.

Quite fun entry in the series by the writer of the Naughtiest Girl continuation novels, Anne Digby (this is the ninth book in the series, but only the first four original stories are written by Enid Blyton). Here, a girl actress enters Whyteleafe School. She is much admired by the other students, but Elizabeth Allen knows what she really is like, because of an incident when she tried to get her autograph during the holidays.

The conceited girl student was a typical character in Blyton0s school stories, and here Anne Digby follows that theme to have a typical story about the former Naughtiest Girl of Whyteleafe trying to fight for right while keeping her own character flaws under control

Kerry is also competing to be head girl this year and she won. After her first day, Kerry did something really bad. She stole some candies from a senior. Elizabeth was sure to reveal her true face. But how? Read to discover all the mysteries underneath this story.

Having just finished a very long, disturbing book about a political election and event in the 60’s, it seemed a big coincidence to read this story about the head girl election!! This story was much more fun to read. I have enjoyed the books I read by Enid Blyton and this series is very close to her style. I’ve been thinking that they are somewhat similar to the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books with out the illustrations.

Fun, short book. This one starts at the beginning of a new semester - Elizabeth is in 2nd form!

A new girl (a hollywood star!) comes to school and is elected Head Girl despite being secretly mean. Elizabeth must unmask her to the school. And then the school must deal with her.

Tennis is described as "table tennis" for the first time. Has it been table tennis all along?! I was envisioning real tennis to go along with their horse riding. Those both seem like upper-crust hobbies. ;-)

This is such a common subject, I’ve always seen those election in cartoons and series, it was kinda familiar reading about it here as well. Also, Elizabeth is going to find out the truth about celebrities, they are not what they act.

Elizabeth is surprised when her favourite movie star arrives at Whytleaf school but is very quickly angry when she realizes Kerry is just using her friends to get what she wants. Nobody can see her true colours until Elizabeth reveals how awful and spoilt Kerry really is.

This series is the one that introduced me to Enid Blyton’s books and it remains my favourite of all till date.
Elizabeth is a spoilt brat who is sent to Whyteleafe so that she can learn and be disciplined. Even there she comes to be known as the naughtiest girl in school. But slowly she blossoms into a wonderful girl (who can be bratty if she wants to be) with slight push from her teachers and a lot of help from her friends.
The series led me to romanticize the life at a boarding school (which I later experienced for myself) and taught me a lot of life lessons. I particularly loved how the girls formed a group to make decisions and solve any problems on their own.
There’s a lot of lessons to be learnt from these pages and I consider this series to be one of the must reads for every child (boy or girl) while growing up.
