Optional.

Could be better content but still for children it is quite okay because there isn't any moral which I believe must be in every story to any child.

This is a cute story about a bear who wanted to continue to play outside after his mother called for him to come home. He ignored his mother's pleas three times. He didn't acknowledge his mother, but attributed her pleas to his different activities that he was doing. For example, he was playing near the river and his mother called him, he justified his disobedience by saying that it was the water running in the river. His friends tried to tell him that his mother was calling him and he ignored them as well. Finally, he acknowledged when night arrived that he should have listened to his mother and gone home when she told him to because he was lost and scared.

I liked the story because it had a life lesson in there: Always listen to your mother because they are only trying to look out for the child's best interests.

This story is good for children between the ages of 2-5. With a 3.5 star rating.

Cute little book about a bear who doesn't listen to his mother to come home.
My only issue was the use of can instead of could. Had to be a grammar error. But how could you miss it??
"I don't think that can have been mother bear calling me "
I had to change that word for my granddaughter.

Such a sweet and lovely children's story. I always enjoy delving into a bedtime story book, no matter how long or how short it may be.

Beautifully written and illustrated. I've bought in the Kindle version out of curiosity, as to how it looks. It left me speechless.

Kids will learn from this bedtime story that is important to listen to when parents call for them.

A sweet, little bedtime story about Little Bear who isn't ready to sleep. He is busy playing and can't seem to hear his Mama Bear calling him. After some more playing, Mouse and Squirrel encourage him to go this his mother. Finally, Little Bear gets tired and goes home and snuggles to sleep with his Mama Bear. Good night! :-)

This is a cute, cuddly bedtime story which could also be used to encourage little ones to listen to their moms or dads, and come when called because they know when it will be dark. I liked that Moyher Bear hugged and snuggled baby bear when he did come home.\

A sweet, colourful book for little ones bedtime.

This book follows a little Bear who doesn’t want to go to bed, he wants to keep playing. When Mother Bear and the forest animals call to him, he pretends he can’t hear. But the sun is sinking and soon it will be dark. This bear is the perfect story for children who need to learn the rules and when to listen to their parents. The illustrations that go along with the story help enhance the images you see through the author's text.

Bedtime, Little Bear, is a story about a playful little bear that does not want to go to sleep. Little Bear loves to play, and although his mother keeps on calling him to come back home before it gets dark outside, Little Bear pretends he cannot hear her mom. He stayed all day playing with leaves and on top of logs. Mouse, a friend of Little Bear, tells him his mother is calling him to go back home. Little Bear didn’t want to stop playing; he was not tired at all! As the sun was setting to dawn, Little Bear climbs to a tree to watch the beautiful red and gold colors in the sky as other animals in the forest start to tell Little Bear that his mom was calling him to go back home. He still insisted he wanted to stay playing. Once he climbed down the tree, it was all dark. Still, Little Bear kept ignoring the fact he had to go back home. As he saw the moon and stars, Little Bear wishes he could hear the sound of momma bear calling him to come back home. He suddenly hears a tiny sound, which in fact, was momma bear trying to reach him out. Luckily, Little Bear made it back home with the help of his friends. Goodnight, he said, as his eyes started to close when hugged by his lovely momma bear.

The theme is that this story teaches children to always listen to their parents. Although sometimes we might feel like ignoring them, still, at the end of the day, they are right about everything and will always want to keep us safe. Therefore, we should listen to before it is too late.

I think this is a great story for little kids because it teaches the moral of hearing and listening to parents. When we are children, we tend to do whatever we want without thinking about the consequences, and that is what happened to Little Bear. The first time his mom tried to reach him out, he did not pay attention and look at how it turned out. Children need to read this type of story when little, so they are knowledgeable about how they have to respect their parents and always follow their rules.

I recommend this book for all the moms that feel the need to teach their children a lesson. For teaching a lesson that they should always hear out their parents, they don’t get into trouble or get lost like Little Bear. Besides, the illustrations are super cute, and it is incredibly well written.

4,25 stars- English Ebook

Bedtime, Little Bear is an endearing story about loveable Little Bear, who, like all children, does not want to go to bed!

Little Bear is having so much fun playing! Several times he thinks he hears his mother calling him. But he convinces himself that he doesn’t really hear her, even though his little friends tell him they also heard her.

The story’s pictures of Little Bear and all the woodland creatures, plus the changing of time from twilight and dusk to nightfall, are charming, delightful and enchanting. I so enjoyed the fanciful, creative and whimsical illustrations; they make you want to join Little Bear in his playtime, and then give him a huge goodnight hug, too!

Bedtime, Little Bear perhaps could have been better if Little Bear received some type of consequence for his misbehavior. However, I feel it might detract from the story. Some precocious children, like my grandson, may question why nothing happened; in which case, this story turns into a good learning experience.

Adventurous Days Call for the Comforts of Home! 🐻

With all of the swishing breezes, rustling leaves, trickling streams, and snores of contentment, the author’s chosen rhetoric makes this tale a great bedtime story for sure. The plot features many colorful illustrations, and most of the page edges exhibit a whimsical border of butterflies, flowers, moons, stars, snails, and woodland creatures like owls and hedgehogs. Throughout the succinct collection of pages, bear cubs, mice, and squirrels frolic together in universal harmony, and the nature setting provides a perfect backdrop for the wild imaginations of sleepy young minds. I did encounter a couple of typos with inconsistent verb tense and capitalization, but this concise story was worth the quick read, and I’d recommend it for children in the target age range of 2-6 years!

John Lancer, Bedtime, Little Bear - This is our first read by this author. My 3- and 5-year-old g-gdaughters were happy with this story.

We all enjoyed the artwork and each page was a work of art. All the animals were cute, real heartstrings pullers. We spent time looking at all the details on each page. Although the little bear was naughty, he was engaged in good activities. Little Bear was not corrected for his naughtiness by his mother.

I did not like can being used in place of could; Mouse having commas around his name; and Squirrel not being uppercase. I was not able to enlarge the pages on my phone to see everything better. 4*

A good bedtime story

This book will make a wonderful bedtime story for three reasons!
First, the narrative is smooth and the words roll off the tongue effortlessly.
Second, the illustrations and the border (haven’t seen those in a long time!) have intricate details for little kids to enjoy and spend time with to pick up some clues.
Third, the actual story has a beautiful moral that’s obvious but not preachy (and this is hard to achieve). I’d recommend this to parents of 3-6 year-olds.

BEDTIME, LITTLE BEAR by John Lancer is a children's bedtime story book about 'Little Bear'.

It's time for bed but Little Bear doesn't want to go bed so he continues on his adventures in the forest watching the other animals at sunset, looking at the night sky as the stars appear until he realizes his mother is looking for him.

BEDTIME, LITTLE BEAR is a sweet story for the young and young at heart, meant to be read to the child . The images are colorful yet soft (easy on the eyes); the story is imaginative.

Bedtime Little Bear is a beautifully illustrated bedtime story about a little bear that was playing at bedtime and didn't want to stop playing although he heard his mother calling him. When I read it to my granddaughter that is difficult to get to bed because she likes to play until she drops; she said, "Little bear is just like me." She now asks for Bedtime Little Bear for her bedtime story often and then goes to sleep with less fuss than usual.

GREAT BOOK FOR CHILDREN!! MARVELOUS MORAL TOO!!!

This is a fantastic book! Perfect for little ones bedtime. I think it is a parent's type of book because of the moral in the story. If you stress the importance of the moral, your little one(s) will grasp it, I promise you!! This book is a keeper you can read at nap or bedtime!

The illustrations in the book are perfect as they are loud bright and in your face but calm and subtle colours to go with the story, if you are looking for a quick bedtime story for your little one maybe try this one!
