Initially, I found the book confusing because of the number of subjects mentioned in the investigation. However, I began to understand as time went on. I especially enjoyed seeing the internal aspects of the investigation. I was surprised by the behavior of the Captain. She seemed to be incompetent or something. I wonder what her point of view was. The ending was sad since Cynthia George appears to have gotten away with murder.
It boils down to this... I'm pretty. I'm wealthy. If I don't get my way, I'll do whatever I like. And I won't be punished cause I'm pretty & I'm wealthy. Her husband should really have had his head examined!!!
A true crime novelization of my mom's cousin's murder - I had to read it! My great aunt Elayne (the victim's mother) was a recurring character, which was pretty cool. A few other distant family members were also mentioned briefly. Such a scandalous story.
This is a True Crime book with a twist. The gal grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and marries a rich guy. Then her boyfriend gets killed by her other boyfriend. This is not a spoiler because it tells us all this on the back cover. Too bad. I would have liked that part to be a surprise. The beginning is interesting but the middle gets a little bogged down as not a whole lot happens. There is a twist at the end but I wont tell you what it is. You will have to read to find out.
Perfect beauty was an ok read. I like true crime stories and this had a good story but spent so much time in the courtroom. Hard to follow all the legalities going on. I was stunned at the outcome...
