This wonderful collection of snoozy stories is ideal for a quick read before bedtime. Meet a sheep who can't sleep, a lonely night owl and some naughty aliens who just want to play. Full of fun and adventure, these short and sweet tales are ideal to snuggle up with!
There are four unread short stories in one book. This collection for the little ones are a good length for small kiddos and the pictures are bright and cheery to keep them interested. When they fall asleep their dreams are sure to be whimsical and fun. They should even wake up happy. Counting Sheep. Sam called to his mother for the third time that night that he couldn't go to sleep. She told him to try counting sheep. That didn't work because the sheep kept sticking their tongues out at him and running away. He called to his mum again and heard a snore. He went outside and found the hens. They walked across the bed for him to count but then they would squawk. That didn't work. The pigs came in and wanted to know what was going on. They walked around the bed for him to count but that didn't work because they smelled like pigs. What is he going to do now? You know what I always say. You get the fun of listening/reading to find out. Have fun and happy reading. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
The perfect amount of story for bedtime! Makes it easy for a mamma to get them in bed, get the story read, and get back to whatever it is you have got to do!
I got 5 Minute Tales – Bedtime Stories for free on Kindle, as something to read to my younger cousin to help him sleep whilst he stayed with us. After reading it three times, I’m reading it a fifth just for a review.
This book has five stories, one about a king who can’t sleep, one about an owl who’s lonely, a sheep who can’t sleep, two monkeys and their magical flying cushions, and naughty aliens who don’t want to go to bed. The stories are enjoyable, even to myself as a twenty year old, and I did have a good chuckle throughout this book. The pictures are done beautifully, and my little cousin loved looking through them, and pointing to things, and he just had a lot of fun with it.
If you have kids, or babysit, or look after younger family, this is definitely a really good book for you to read to them. I devoured it myself in one sitting for my own enjoyment, and this has put my little cousin to sleep five different times. It’s a life saver.
5Minute Tales- Bedtime Stories was quite an exciting adventure story at least the last two were!
I enjoyed this ebook with the exciting adventures that the author had shared! The only sad part was that one has to make their eyes work harder to read such small print. Could you not either make the print at least one or two sizes bigger or make it so that when one has a screen like one does who has like an I Pad can make the picture bigger as well as the print making the print much more easier on one's eyes, see? Otherwise this is why I am giving this book five stars. I recommend this ebook for the younger children of course more but I think anyone who enjoys short adventure stories and the characters mostly being animals could also get a thrill out of it! I received this ebook for free and now have given it an honest review. Great job Igloo Books author(s)! By Angela
I read this book over a few nights with my daughter and she did enjoy the stories.
The images were nice but I downloaded the book on to my Kindle and the text was quite small and the images didn't do as much to help the story with them being in shades of grey.
I can image if it was read or purchased on another device it would probably be a higher rating but it is only 3 stars from me for this one for the Kindle version.
The pictures are wonderful. The tales amused the five-year-old listener. The text was difficult to read on my tablet, and could have been proofed better in a couple of places.
Interesting and imaginative stories for kids to have before sleep to make them fall asleep. Enjoyed thoroughly. Thanks amazon. Looking such stories in Marathi Language
I really like the fact that the stories are nice and short for bedtime and my 2 year old really enjoyed listening. He made most of the sound effects after me and asked some questions about the book too. I would recommend ages 3 and up but my 2 year old enjoyed it and the pictures were really cute too
Love the simple language and beautiful illustrations that are bound to capture a child's attention. The characters are nuanced and despite being a children's story book, the stories have sensitive plots that do not preach but suggest and nudge the readers in the right direction. Seems ideal for age 5 and up.
It’s interesting bedtime story. Perfect length, not too short nor too long. Not only for bedtime, but this is also can be used for day. My baby 6 months quietly listening to me when I told him the story.
Some of the stories have a bit much engaging energy if your little one is not quite ready to settle down. However, overall the stories are helpful in setting the tone that everyone needs sleep.
