"I have a cuddle buddy. My cuddle buddy is straight. So am I. We don't have sex. And we don't intend to. Nevertheless, we sleep curled up in each other's arms every chance we get. Our girlfriends don't know that we do this. It's simpler that way. Women love to feel protected. But they aren't so crazy about discovering that sometimes, even the toughest protector needs a little protection himself. That's where my cuddle buddy comes in..."
So begins an offbeat, hilarious tale that only Nate Tanner could write: the story of two young men whose intense, confusing friendship soon becomes "a love too gay to be straight, yet too straight to be gay." When one guy decides to push things too far, can their special bond hold up under the strain?
This category-shattering 10,000-word m/m romance contains brief adult content and is not suitable for those under 18.
Nate Tanner was born in Iowa in 1980. His Zodiac sign is Gemini. He realized he was gay on the day he turned 18.
After living a freewheeling lifestyle in his 20s, Nate decided to share his experiences with the world by becoming an erotic fiction author. He writes in spare moments at his day job, while by night he can be found prowling the Midwest for cute boys.
This is NOT an erotic short. This is just a story told over a couple shots of tequila by some guy you just met in the bar. It’s a bit funny, interesting, and totally lame too—all the things you expect when a stranger starts talking to you in a bar. I liked it, but it won’t be for everyone.
2.75* I quite liked it even if I don't think it would happen in reality. At the start, the guys are college age so I suppose some forgiveness allowed for the juvenile names, behaviour and prejudices. Tortoiseshell got huffy when things got hot and I do think our narrator would be better off finding his own man as I think he could be easily gay. I found the ending a bit funny, like are these guys going to be cuddling in their 30's, 40's, 50's etc, leaving the wife and kiddies at home none the wiser.
This was cute and funny. I've never known two men to do something like this before but it makes good sense. Why the hell not other than most men would be scared. LoL silly boys.
Nate gives you a full story with good strong, likable characters.
I enjoyed this story it's well worth the money. Though all of his books that I have read are.
I really enjoyed this - a sweet story about friendship, acceptance and knowing someone so well that you can just be yourself. All wrecked in a single incident, which was long regretted until an unexpected meeting brought them back together. Thanks
Not for me. I find it hard to believe that 2 "straight" guys would sleep together and cuddle like lovers. And I was really hoping it would turn into a true and sexual relationship.
