Ein verwöhnter und charakterlich schwacher junger Mann aus reichem Hause, ein kampferprobter Soldat, der nur knapp dem Tode entronnen ist, eine junge Schönheitschirurgin und der russische Inlandsgeheimdienst.
Zu Beginn habe ich mich gefragt, wie alle diese Komponenten in eine Geschichte passen sollen, aber die Autorin hat es geschafft all das nahtlos zu verweben.
Mir hat besonders gefallen, dass dieser Thriller in einem für mich völlig ungewohnten Umfeld angesiedelt ist und ich einiges über das russische Alltagsleben erfahren habe.
Auch der ziemlich komplexe Thrillerplot hat mich gefesselt, auch wenn an manchen Stellen doch Erklärungslücken blieben. Aber das Hauptziel eines Thrillers, nämlich spannend zu sein, wurde definitiv erfüllt.
Der Roman bot mir gute und spannende Unterhaltung in einem für mich exotischen Umfeld. Mir hats gefallen, auch wenn der Thriller nicht perfekt war.
Ich vergebe abgerundete 3,5 Sterne und empfehle das Buch Thrillerfreunden, die sich mal von ihren üblichen Thrillerschauplätzen wegbewegen wollen.

A spoiled and weak young man from a wealthy family, a battle-hardened soldier who barely escaped death, a young cosmetic surgeon and the Russian domestic secret service.
At first I wondered how all of these components would fit into one story, but the author managed to weave it all together seamlessly.
I particularly liked the fact that this thriller is set in a completely unfamiliar environment for me and that I learned a lot about everyday life in Russia.
The fairly complex thriller plot also captivated me, even if there were gaps in the explanation at some points. But the main goal of a thriller, which is to be suspenseful, was definitely achieved.
The novel offered me good and exciting entertainment in an exotic environment for me. I liked it, even if the thriller wasn't perfect.
I rate it with rounded down 3.5 stars and recommend the book to thriller fans who want to move away from their usual thriller locations.

Not the best Dashkova detective novel I've read but absorbing enough.
