Brian doesn’t sell used cars. He sells quality pre-owned vehicles. Like many salesmen, he doesn't own a car but borrows various autos from the lot. After spending the night with his girlfriend, he goes outside to warm his ride and Cirrus, a garbage man slash ex-con, deserts his trash route and steals the idling BMW. Brian can’t call the law for help because his girlfriend is married to a local police detective. Rather than betray his paramour’s secret, he sets out on foot to recover the car using his own wits and resources. Danielle "This was a fun and punchy read, where the crimes are over-the-top and the characters are likeable despite being morally bankrupt.” Also available by Sam The Hollywood Doll (A Carl Porter Mystery)

Only 131 pages long and I think that is a blessing. On the cover is a napkin and wine glass which, shamefully, looks empty. Humdinger [ˌhəmˈdiNGɡər] NOUN informal a remarkable or outstanding person or thing of its kind: "a humdinger of a funny story"

I had to define the TITLE of this book inasmuch as it explains it. I must not be to familiar with these types of people. Car salesmen who never go to work, girls who have no jobs or bad jobs, well, Krista is a pretty good bartender. Bank robbers and weird looking men.

I must have gotten the book FREE --- roflmao

This was a cute book. Interesting characters, great story line. Nothing earth shattering, but interesting and entertaining. There were some typos in the story which bugged me a little, and the story sometimes skipped around with no transition to the next part. That could have been the way it was laid out on my Nook though. It was .99 cents at Barnes and Noble so I couldn't resist. It was short, but I liked it.

Not a bad urban crime (noir) novel but set in current times. How Amazon recommended this book after I read Dodsworth I have no idea. The two novels are nothing alike. The book moves quickly it is just not a genre that I read often.

Excellent, realistic crime novel with wonderful twists and turns. The characters are as real as can be, and are all out for themselves. Watch your back.

A good read with an expected ending.

I chose this book as a beach read. It didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the sarcasm humor. I would recommend this book as a quick & enjoyable read. 😀
