By popular demand, Latrivia S. Nelson is proud to announce a compilation of the first four of the twelve volumes from the Medlov Crime Family Short Stories Series.

Dmitry Medlov wasn’t always a billionaire crime boss. His rise to the top was a painstaking process that took many years and many trials and tribulations. From breaking out of prison on a twenty-year bid in Russia to trafficking guns in the back alleys of London and finally toppling a dynasty run by a blood-thirsty Czar, this seven-foot tall, bad boy had to earn every penny.

Along the way, however, he also learned about a woman’s heart, the pain of losing a sick wife, the drain of taking care of a psychotic kid brother, the knowledge of finding out that he was a father and pride of building an empire all before his 25th birthday.

Read about American’s favorite mob boss in four short tales that will have you flipping through the pages and begging for more.

If you are a fan of the Medlov Crime series you are in for a treat. Ms. Nelson has decided to bless us with Dmitry’s back story in this wonderful new series The Chronicles of Young Dmitry and it is amazing! We know our wonderful, powerful super rich Czar came from some humble beginnings, but now we learn about his rise to the top of the crime world, what happen to his relationship with Ivan and the events that made his the Dmitry we know and love. We begin our journey in Moscow. Eighteen year old Dmitry has just broken out of jail after serving 3 years of a 20 year sentence. He is now indebted to the man who assisted him is his escape, a high ranking member of the feared Vor, Kirill. Upon his release, Kirill has given Dmitry, who is known in the Vor known as “The Butcher”, 48 hours to take out a Ukrainian drug lord, but Dmitry has two very important stops to make along the way, to check on his baby brother Ivan & the lady he left behind Alexandria. He finds his brother has turned into a heartless selfish young man but he loves him and being that he is the only family he has left after the brutal murder of their mother, Dmitry tries to guide him. When he finds Alexandria, he discovers she is now engaged to a very abusive man and ‘the Butcher” takes care of him as only he can. He whisk her away to a hotel to spend one last passion filled night with her before he takes care of business for Kirill and he and his brother head to London to being to build the Medlov crime family.
This was a great story. I loved the Medlov books (I have reviewed all of them), each one just got better and better for me. What I love about this author and this series is she stays true to the story and as a fan that is so important to me. You can see that she weaves this story into the original Medlov books so beautifully, that I found myself say”hey I remember that from the other book”. This is someone who is true to the characters and to the series. Kudos to you Ms. Nelson, This was great!

“How is your heart?” he asked, cupping her left breast in his hand. His fingers played with her nipples. “My heart?” she asked curiously as he pinched her. “Do you have any heart problems?” His look was that of true concern. “No,” she said shocked. “I’m only 49. My heart is fine. Why you ask?” He pulled her hand towards his throbbing cock and leaned towards her blazing ear. “Because I’m not an inch shorter than a foot,” he smiled. “And I don’t want to kill you.” He caressed her shoulders. She laughed again with him as he laid his head back on her soft, goose-down pillows. Crawling on top of him, she avoided his mountainous member for the moment. Humor was priceless, and she rather enjoyed how sure of himself he was. “But do you know what to do with a foot, my love?” she asked, raking her hand over his taut chest, rippling with muscles. She rested her small fingers flat on his abdomen. He raised his head a bit and nodded, his blue eyes sparkling. “I’ll fuck you within an inch of your life, my lady,” he answered facetiously. “Do not let my age confuse you. I am all man.” With that, he relaxed the muscles in his stomach and breathed slowly.

“That I believe.”

I loved this whole convo. I've never added highlights to any of my reviews but I had to add this one.
I can't wait for V 5-8.

Warning - it is best to invest in The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov: Volumes 1-6 rather than singularly.

Even though I own the aforementioned chronicle on Kindle I'm going to rate the volumes individually. If one tweaks my interest I may even comment.

Vol.1 lays an excellent premises for what should be an exciting read. This is the beginning of Dmitry Medlov's rise to power. He is freed from jail and is then thrust back into a life of violence.

I found the greatest appeal with this story lay with the honesty of given situations. It isn't sugar coated and no one is safe from the harsh reality of their world.

Also it highlighted an interesting point. In any other story if you are given a towering man (in this he's just shy of 7ft) it doesn't describe how awkward it can be to literally fit into every day chores. And because it does contain mature content, it has a scene where Dmitry is unsure how to perform with someone much smaller than he.

Anyway, Dmitry and his younger brother, Ivan, learnt the rules of survival after the death of their mother. But to give them a better shot at a good life the Medlov brothers need to take down a rival boss. Along the way Dmitry realizes how unhinged his brother has become and the problems they will face in the future.

This book gives insight into how Dmitry rose in ranks to become a leader in the Vor. Ms. Nelson does an excellent job of showing how tragic young Dmitry's life was. He came from the slums, basically, to become a billionaire. He put up with a lot, including his sociopathic brother, Ivan. There was great character development, especially Ivan. To see the inner workings of his mind was captivating. I also liked how the author wove in Dmitry's present life with his past. It was nice to reconnect with the family I've grown to love. Unfortunately, as with all of Ms. Nelson's books, there were typos and errors with grammar, which makes you have to re-read sentences. I did miss the romance in this book, but hopefully this series will continue with Dmitry's daughter.

I have read all the books in the Medlov Family Series accept the Chronicles.
These tell the story of how Dmitry came to power and why Ivan his brother hates him so much. We learn about his first wife, his real father, introduced to his girlfriend Elsa. We meet Emma and Ari Ivan's love interests. We hear the background to Gabriel and Anatoly existence and their mothers.

It did start of rather slowly for me but picked up half way through.

Fantastic crime thriller with compelling characters. Dmitry Medlov is a ruthless Russian mob figure who kills his way to the top. Nothing about this book is ordinary, and the twists and turns = page turner.

Too short!

Loved it, but it was too short. Loved Dmitry, but I'm curious to know if he will be able to control Ivan. Good story.
