Salem Grimes and her octogenarian friend Viv are back in this fun short story, this time kicking butt and rescuing kidnap victims. Well, this is actually a case of dognapping. At least the reward is real... but is it enough to face the gun-toting dognapper? Armed with the strongest weapon available, Salem and Viv save the day once again, using an age-old magnet that has an attraction few can resist, BACON!
Kim Hunt Harris is the award-winning author of the Trailer Park Princess comic mystery series.
Kim knew she wanted to be a writer before she even knew how to write. When her parents read bedtime stories to her, she knew she wanted to be a part of the story world. She started out writing children’s stories, and her stories grew as she did. She discovered a gift for humor and a love for making people laugh with her tales, and the Trailer Park Princess series was born.
Kim loves to not only make her readers laugh and entertain them with a good mystery, but also to examine the issues the everyday people face…well, every day. Issues like faith and forgiveness, perseverance and tolerance. Set in Lubbock, Texas, the fun books feature a cast of quirky characters, outrageous situations, a drama queen of a dog, and from time to time, a tear or two.
Kim lives with her husband of more than thirty years and two teenage kids in Texas.
Excellent short story! I love it when Salem and Vic get into some exciting plot to rescue or capture of find! They seem to always end up in the winning side, but the way they get there is filled with humor and so many twists and turns.
Another funny short. I really like the main character. Maybe because I used to groom dogs, also have a weakness for sweets (and I also have an extra 40lbs to show for it), and I too laugh uncontrollably when I’m nervous, or tired, or just watching dog videos😂. Anyway really enjoying this series.
Salem and Viv will have you cracking up with the silly things they say and do. Salem has a lot of hang ups and insecurities that she should work on as a grown adult. But otherwise the books are great!
This is a cute short story! I can't wait to read more in the series. I love the crazy, down to earth characters. They sound like people I would actually hang out with.
So far, I have loved every one of Kim's books! I like her realistic struggles with her 12 step program and she's just wacky enough to be believable! Keep 'em coming!
I'm already in love with these characters! This was a cute, quick read but really pulled me in so that I'm interested in reading the entire series about this duet.
Three stars only because it was really short. Same funny humor in the book. This time its about a kidnapped dog. Her and her elderly partner go to find the dog. When you gotta go - you gotta go LOL
