Dead people are supposed to stay dead, right? For Antonio, that just wasn't going to happen. With what Antonio knows, heaven will have to wait. Macy had always been sensitive to the spirits of those who needed help to find peace, but this guy! He was driving her insane! It didn't help that he was gorgeous to a distraction. So what if he claimed that Angel Knight was his family? One does NOT just stroll up to the famous rock star's house and say "Hey guess what?" But Antonio is very persistent and Macy knows what she must do if she is going to get any peace at all. Jacque spent all of his free time looking for a way to contact his lost brother. But it seems all hope is lost until not one, but two women walk into his life. One is a pretty necromancer who claims Antonio speaks to her, the other is one he had been searching for himself for a long time. He had known Frankie was destined to be his mate, but she disappeared from his life before he could make her understand that. Now that she's back, he doesn't plan to ever let her go. With a dire situation at hand and working against the clock, Jacque must make Frankie his own while fighting a danger they all thought had been extinguished months before...
I live in KY with my family. While I hold a "real job" my first love will always be writing. I enjoy lots of different kinds of books, and many different authors. Some of my favorites are, but not limited to, Sandra Hill, Lori Foster, Kelly Armstrong, Stephen King, James Patterson, J.R. Ward and Emma Holly. But I think I would read just about anything with a good plot.
Before my review I will say that Danie sent me this book in sections for me to read as it was being written.
I do love these books and this is no exception, it has all the usual characters but it's ultimately Jaques's book. Jaques is in love with Frankie, in fact she's his mate and when she enters his life again he's keeping hold. Antonio is back with a message and is driving Macy crazy, Leigh is pregnant and is now my out and out favourite character her take no nonsense attitude is brilliant. When I started reading I just couldn't see how everything was going to come together especially for Antonio but I needn't have worried Danie works everything out beautifully and we're left waiting desperately for the next book.
Wow!!! This book was a real rollercoaster ride!! Jacque and Frankie, Antonio and Macy, and all the other brothers are here too! There are twists and turns, laugh out loud moments and pure, unadulterated heartbreak. I cried so hard I couldn't see. Alpha males the way they are meant to be; ready to die for their mates. A family that knows what it means to be a real family. This book has everything that I like in a paranormal romance, and a villain that I would like to see killed a thousand painful ways!! I loved it, just like I loved the rest of this series. They need to be read in order, but are well worth the time and money. 5 Huge Stars!!
Have you ever finished a book only to find that you wanted to leave a message. "More please, just one more book." I know it is going to take more than one more book. Please keep this series going. I love the characters and the stories.
Once again, the author hasn’t let us down. This series has everything and more. Second tome reading and still love the journey of each of the characters.
“From the Ashes” is a multiple play of romance and action. Readers who have followed the series will be pleased to see all the characters present and accounted for.
Yeah, loved Jacque's and Antonio's story. I still think the end was so sad, though. Although I didn't like Leigh's story, I liked her here. She really said things the way they were without beautifying the situation. Awesome read.
This story was incredible, outstanding, exciting and sooo touching and moving!!!. I personally think this was the BEST one yet of this series!.Great,Fantastic and just plain awesome.
