In "The Last Nation", readers are transported into the heart of spiritual warfare happening across the globe. As the remaining peoples who have never heard the gospel come into focus, intense battles rage on the front lines of the fight for their salvation. With characters risking everything to bring the truth to these unreached peoples, this book not only explores the power of prayer but delves deep into the tremendous sacrifice required to make a difference.
While "The Last Nation" tells a riveting story, the underlying message is crystal it’s time to act.
As readers immerse themselves in this world of spiritual upheaval and towering stakes, they’ll understand that the world is counting on them. Will they work to build a brighter future for these unreached peoples? Will they heed the call to pray fervently, give generously, and, for some, step up to go?
"The Last Nation" is a must-read for anyone who wants to be part of God's plan to reach every last person on Earth. It's a call to action that will leave readers inspired, motivated, and ready to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world's most vulnerable people groups.
What an incredible story! I love how the author took us through the wrestling of a family as they decided to walk in obedience, and the reality of spiritual warfare as a result of it. It was compelling. It was applicable. It felt like it could be a real story in the here and now. And most importantly, it’s challenging. What am I doing to reach the unreached?
This is the only book written by Wayne Deerfield at this point so it of course is the only one by him I have read. There are three different kinds of chapters in this book: one that focuses on the human characters, one that focuses on the good side of the spiritual world and one that focuses on the dark side of the spiritual world. I like that this author does not use fancy, hard to understand, or complicated language in this novel minus a few words here and there. This book is written in a way that anyone can read it and follow what is happening. It drew me in from the very beginning of the story. I loved the names given to the angels of the Most High God. I also thought that the couple in the story were extremely relatable. The parts of the novel that focus on the main characters and their family could really be a biography of a missionary though occasionally this is not nonfiction so it is not a true story. This novel has many lessons in it but one that really stood out to me was the old saying if it is too good to be true then it probably is. One of the secondary characters in this book fits perfectly into that saying. Every time he came up after the main male character, Chris Billings, met with the guy, he just seemed off. I completely felt like he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This book was eye opening and I highly recommend it.
I don't even know How I came across this amazing story The introduction I knew it was meant to have it in my hands at this exact time
This is a must read book that I will captivate your heart and the more Open up your mind Answer the question what do I do.with the call God gas given me .
I was called to missions years ago And This book has rekindled that call To serve My Lord and serve my Kind to be His Ambassador Wherever He leads .
What a compelling display of God’s heart. The calling, the preparation, the going and the Spiritual battle that encompasses it all. The heart of God, lined up with the obedience of those called not only to Go, but those to pray sees God’s will play out. Loved it!
This is an amazing book! I just recently purchased it at a conference and it definitely spoke to me in a deep and real way. I felt like I was going on the journey with the Billings family and resonated with them the entire time. Chris was the main narrator but I loved the changing perspective and the call to action that each chapter planted in my heart.
A good reminder of the unseen activity in the heavenlies, and the importance our prayer plays in that spiritual warfare. This book will motivate you to increase your prayer life.
