Dropping this one down to 3 stars - I enjoy the storyline and the characters very much, but there were more spelling errors & incorrect words in this one. The big one was the use of the word voyeurism when it should have been exhibitionism
The sex was enjoyable, tasteful and not in your face explicit, but the closet scene with the long black box was wonderful, it made my imagination run wild.
The oversights in this novella haven’t turned me away from the series though – I eagerly await the continuation of the story.
THE VAMPIRE AFFAIR PART TWO, begins where part one left off. Mak is lusting after Jonathan, but there is something about him that she just can’t figure out. All Mak knows is that her boss wants a story for the gossip magazine and she wants it now. Mak is undercover and uncovering secrets that are hard to believe.
I enjoyed the conclusion of book two. I was glad we got to here more from Mak and Jonathan. I would recommend you don’t read book two unless you read book one. It will be harder to understand if you don’t. A good read.
We are still at the writer’s convention from the first book when book two starts off. Makayla is still on a mission to get dirt on Jonathan Devane. He is still under a cloak of mystery. The journey continues…
Makayla discovers that she can write erotica. She reads a short story she wrote while at the convention and that got Jonathan’s attention. Now the cat and mouse game that was being played was in reverse. Now Jonathan was after “Yvette” (Makayla’s alter ego while at the convention).
While they are getting to know each other, Makayla’s boss in down her throat for a story. Makayla is having an internal battle over the assignment and the growing passion she is feeling for Jonathan. We have more of the evil ex plaguing the sexy lovers. Lots more of the hot sexy scenes that left me fanning myself and flipping through the pages as fast as I could!
It’s another short read and so amazingly good! I could not put it down and had to rush to part 3. Vivi Anna sucks you in and leaves you panting for more. I highly recommend this series! Give it a 1-click and get ready for a hot and wild ride!
Series: The Vampire Affair #2 Category /Genre: Paranormal romance, short-story Received from: Amazon purchase Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: B – a few small errors; switched from 1st person to 3rd frequently.
This is the second part in the Vampire Affair series and they do need to be read in order.
A compelling, captivating, short story that I could not put down. I read it in one sitting. I appreciated that Mak was facing her own concerns regarding her ethics and making good decisions. More importantly, the lust, longing, and sex were all hot enough to boil steel.
The third episode was supposed to be released today, but so far it’s not on Amazon – I’ll keep watching and waiting!
The only redeaming feature to this series is the female lead is really funny and strong. The male MC is crazy hot but the story is not flushed out AT ALL. Don't bother with this series.
