When I received the ARC for Give Me Hope, I jumped straight in because I was so excited to find out what happened to Vivienne after the cliff-hanger ending in Give Me Reason! I even pushed past car sickness and kept reading on my iPhone! (with my head practically out the window guzzling down fresh air!)

Vivienne had just been attacked by her murderous ex-boyfriend at the end of GMR; Give Me Hope takes off from there, and I can honestly say the scenes with the sadistic douche, were spine chilling and particularly upsetting. He is a twisted and an ef-ed up individual that makes my skin crawl! Kudos to the author!

We get a lot of Mikah's inner musings in this book as it's, on the most part, from his point of view. He discovers that he is an Angel and has healing powers; he gets some help finding his feet, or wings as it were, from two unexpected visitors.

There is the awesome romantic chemistry we've come to love and expect from the author and a bit of action too. The plot thickens though, with the developing Angel characters which I can't wait to discover in the next installment!

Ms Derricks writing skills and abilities have grown amazingly over the few books she has written and I'm so pleased and privileged to have gone on her literal journey with her, through her writing! Well done Z!!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book!! And once again I am in LOVE!!!
This is shaping up to be a great series.

This installment was all about Mikah. We learn (along with him) about what he is. And just as I suspected while reading the first book…He is great & I can’t wait to learn more.

I can’t wait to see Mikah & Vivi together….And as the great Barney Stinson would say….I can see these two being LEGEN……………wait for it…………….DARY!!!

Anxiously awaiting the rest of this series…SO GET TO WRITING LADY!!! HEHE 

I have quickly become a huge fan of Zoey Derrick's writing. I was blessed with an ARC copy (2nd in a series)of Give Me Hope and I loved it. This is not a genre I usually read but I am absolutely hooked. The characters are unique and have great depth. They have touched me deeply. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

After the nail-biting, air-sucking cliff hanger of Give Me Reason, book two in the Reason series, Give Me Hope went above and beyond by plugging me in emotionally immediately, setting my skin crawling and my heart jack-hammering. Pregnant and brutally attacked once again by her ex-boyfriend, Vivienne is fighting for her life as a tormented Mikah watches over her comatose form.

This time, Zoey Derrick takes us inside Mikah’s mind, as we live out most of this story through his eyes and he comes to the full realization and acceptance of who and what he is, and why he was drawn to Viv. Will he be the reason Viv and her unborn child live? Are there others watching over this brave and damaged young woman? Mikah will use every ounce of his worldy powers to protect her and prevent the monster who did this to her from harming another, but will that be enough, or will it require the aid of an otherworldly power?

Ms. Derrick electrifies each page with emotion, a touch of mystery and some cheer-worthy action as the story unfolds in high-tension mode! The only jagged edges to this story are masterfully created by the author as she seamlessly winds us through her tale of love, with characters that burrow into your mind and take residence in your heart. Another amazing read by Zoey Derrick that sets the stage for her next installment perfectly.

I received an advance review copy as part of Zoey Derrick’s Give Me Hope Blog Tour stopping at Tome Tender December 5, 2013.

No physical action in this 2nd book either but thankfully there is promise of things to come! This book is in Mikah's POV as Vivienne was severely beaten by Riley when Mikah finds her tied to the bed, barely alive. Finally Vivienne sees that Mikah gives her strength & comfort, makes her feel so safe that she barely lets him out of her sight which is super sweet. The downside is that Mikah is learning about his supernatural abilities which is a little dull. He discovers his mother was also like him & that it was destined that he & Vivienne would be together. Not too excited about the whole angel scenario but I did like that Mikah & Vivienne seem to come to each other in their dreams, & Vivienne seems to want to be physically close to Mikah now. At night she even climbs out of her hospital bed & cuddles with Mikah on his cot. What really gave me hope was when Mikah was sitting on her bed & rubbing her leg & all of a sudden - something came up if you know what I mean! It was funny how he ran to the bathroom & tried to get it to calm down. :) Vivienne is healing way too quickly & Mikah discovers some markings on her back that match his. There are still way too many questions - can they beat Riley & the dark forces in the world? What happens when Vivienne moves into a condo next to Mikah? Since she is pregnant & vulnerable, will they ever be able to be physical with each other? I'm hoping at least we'll see some more action in their dreams together & fantasies. How does the baby figure into the equation because it is obvious that Mikah has a strong fatherly pull to the baby. Love Mikah & Vivienne & can't wait to see Vivienne let her guard down even more & let Mikah into her heart!

Received an ARC for an honest review.

This is the second book in the series and as it does not leave you with the cliffhanger that the first one did...it still leaves you hanging. Zoey did throw in a little tease of the next book due out in December (normal wait time).

This is going to be short because I don't want to give too much of the story away.

This is Micha's story.

As he is holding vigil in the hospital beside Viv, he slowly discovers things about himself and his family. He is learning what the differences in the sensations he feels with the different emotions he experiences. Micha has to figure out a way to control the strong emotions: anger, happiness, and even lust. With each emotion he has the chance of losing control and exposing himself.

Upon learning who Riley's father is, Michah pulls his business relationship with Elton. Elton will not allow Michah too just pull all the funding. He decides a little retribution is in order. A confrontation in the hospital allows Michah too inform Elton of the things he has condoned of his sons actions. Of course Elton doesn't believe him and tries to be turn everything around to make it Viv's fault. Michah becomes livid and punches him (way to go Michah).

Upon being released from the hospital Viv has agreed to go home with Michah.

Will Michah be able to protect Viv ? Will Viv be able to open herself up to Michah and allow herself to depend on someone else ?

Stay tuned......

This novel is actually more emotionally packed than the first of the series. Derrick tackles difficult subjects head on to create a shocking tale you won’t be able to put down even for a second. The dark undertones that Derrick works into her descriptions add a sense of urgency to this novel. She paints a dark world for her characters to live in, but also shows the cracks where light sets through.

Even though we got to know the main characters quite well in the first novel of this series, we get to know them much more intimately in this one. It’s all in the little details with this novel. You also get to know some of the supporting characters much better. They become more like family than storybook characters.

I love the mix of reality, history, and mythology that Derrick has worked together into this brilliant novel. My last thoughts? GAAAHHH!!! I need more now! I can’t wait for the next instalment in this brilliant series.

Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The second in the Give Me series, taken from Mikah's point of view.

Mikah is restraining himself from doing the one thing he feels strongly about, swooping in and protecting Vivienne. Although Vivienne has asked for some space, Mikah still has been keeping an eye on her from afar. If it were not for his instincts, he may have never have found Vivienne hurt and in need of help.

This was a wonderful sequel. You get to learn more about Mikah and the mysterious marks on his back. He begins to evolve while watching over Vivienne. I am so rooting for this couple who can't seem to catch a break. A fantastic addition to the Give Me series.

Ever since Vivienne Callahan entered his life, Mikah Blake's life has never been the same. The petite redhead has done a number on him, and he knows he'll never be able to get back to where he was before. Not that he wants to, mind you. Vivienne consumes his thoughts, his every waking moment. So much so, that he finds himself doing things he never thought he'd do.

Determined to make her life a much better place, Mikah has taken her under his wing. Granted, Vivienne doesn't want his charity. She's insistent on making it on her own. In her mind, she doesn't need a helping hand, much less his. He respects the fact that she wants to be independent, most especially with the baby she has on the way. Sadly, he's unable to do as she asks. There's something about her that pulls on his heartstrings, and he'll do everything possible to make sure she's taken care of.

When the ghosts of Vivienne's past surface, and she's placed in harm's way once more, Mikah comes to the realization that he's unable to let things with her be. Her life has taken a different, and quite difficult turn, something he will not condone. Refusing to sit on the sidelines, he soon sets into motion a series of events that will prove to change his life and hers.

As he struggles to understand the changes that are now occurring within him, Vivienne does her best to overcome the pain and heartache her ex-boyfriend has inflicted on her. Deep inside, Mikah knows they're meant to be together. The signs telling him so are there, even if he can't quite make sense of them as of yet. If they're to get past the adversities coming at them right and left, they'll need to trust each other in more ways than one. Somehow, some way, they'll get through it all, no matter how long takes for them to do so.

Wow, just . . . WOW! If I haven't said it before, I'll definitely say it now. Zoey, I'm hooked on this series, girl! You've an awesome talent, and it shows!

Give Me Hope continues where Give Me Reason left off. This time, we get to see a little more of Mikah and what makes him tick. He's a good soul, determined on changing Vivienne's world for the better. Granted, the odds are definitely stacked against them, but it's refreshing to see just how far the two have come. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. So can't wait!

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

*4.5 Stars*

I was so excited to get my hands on this book!! After the way Give Me Reason ended, I needed it so bad!

In the first book we got to read Vivienne’s story, but most of this book is from Mikah’s POV. We get to look inside Mikah’s mind as he comes to the full realization and acceptance of who and what he is, and why he was drawn to Viv.

This book picks up from where the first one ended. Mikah has this nagging feeling that something is wrong with Vivienne and after speaking with Detective Stevens, he decides to go to her house. When he gets there he discovers a dead cop & a nearly dead Vivienne. Vivienne is mostly comatose in this story and is healing in the hospital. Mikah somehow helps with her healing process. During this time, Mikah starts to learn more about himself (his back, the itching, the WINGS) and his need to be around Vivienne and HE DOES NOT AND WILL NOT LEAVE HER SIDE. Mikah is so invested in Vivienne and her baby, that he knows how to ask the right question (tugged my heart).

“Vivienne I’m so sorry, I wish I’d gotten there faster. Or that I ever let you go back to that apartment in the first place. Vivienne, I’m here. I won’t leave.” “Oh I almost forgot, the number over on that monitor, Is that the baby’s heart rate, Is that….normal (Swoon)”

I liked that we got to see more of his pas, his relationship with his mother and what he is (NOPE I AM NOT GOING TO TELL YOU because than you will have the story with a MAJOR SPOILER). There are times that I was like WTH just happened?!! But this connection between Mikah and Vivienne cannot be denied.

“Until you’re discharged, you will stay with me, but know this: I will not allow you on the streets or anyplace where Riley can track you down. So until he is caught ad this matter is resolved, I need you to come and stay where I can be close to you, keep an eye on you.”

In true Zoey spirit we are left with another, jaw dropping cliffhanger!! Yep evil is lurking and what is coming is not good. The evil is planning and they do not want Vivienne and her baby to survive. They failed this time, but the next time they will NOT!

Check out the great giveaway for the book tour at my blog, (a Kindle DX!!) also I have a cool excerpt to read as well. Click the button below to go to the post

I Really loved this 2nd book. I liked it a lot more than the first for sure, not because the first was bad or anything, just it was more a set up for the whole story. We get a lot of hot Mikah in this one, and I loved that. I loved that we get a lot more of the paranormal element in this one, where the first you just do know for sure.

I liked the direction the story has taken and was very happy with the book as a whole. That sneak peek of Give Me Desire really was interesting and has you wondering. Just glad this book didn’t leave us hanging so bad as that first one. That had made me pretty mad, lol.

I highly recommend this series.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

If you haven’t read the first book in Zoey Derrick’s Reason series, Give Me Reason, STOP READING THIS REVIEW NOW! For the rest of you, hold on to your seats! Remember all those cliffhanger questions we were left with? Well have no fear, Give Me Hope gives us those answers and then we get so much more after that. Vivienne is alive, but she shouldn’t be. Her evil ex Riley left her for dead after a brutal attack. What Vivienne went through was very hard to read, but knowing Mikah is again by her side made it a little easier to read. I would love to tell you everything we find out about not only Mikah, but Vivienne as well, but it’s so big and so special that I just can’t ruin it for you. Mikah really shows his backbone in Give Me Hope and his protection of Vivienne is limitless. There are more characters added to this story and I am really hoping that Seraphina will be making many more appearances as she gives a great humorous element to the story when she interacts with Mikah. Even though this was a very emotionally taxing read, I liked how that was broken up by Mikah and Seraphina’s conversations. Poor Mikah, you have to almost feel sorry for him. Vivienne seems to be getting stronger by the minute even after all she has faced.

Give Me Hope was the perfect follow up to Give Me Reason and wrapped up all my questions while giving me a whole new set to ponder at the end. The first book was great; this book took it to a whole other level! We were left with another cliffhanger, but not anything like we got in the first book. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book! Zoey Derrick is quickly solidifying her place on my list of must read favorite authors! Bring on Give Me Desire!!!

This book picks up right after the cliffhanger ending of Hive Me Reason. This is all from Mikah's POV.

With the help of Mikah Vivienne was moving forward in her life. Taking care of herself and her unborn child. But when the ugly past rears its head, will Vivienne survive?

Vivienne's ex, Riley has trashed her around and left her for dead. The only person who can save her is Mikah. When Mikah reaches her studi apartment, Mikah finds Vivienne unconscious and with no pulse. Afraid that she may be dead, Mikah rushes her to the hospital.

Through most of the book Vivienne is unconscious and in the hospital. And Mikah was always around taking care of her. He was so caring and affectionate. He stands by her through everything. He is also not a man who is afraid of his emotions. He openly weeps for Vivienne and sees no shame in doing so.

We find out more about Mikah. A bit about his past, about what he is and what his relationship to Vivienne is. The whole supernatural aspect of the series is unveiled in this book. His tries his best to deal with everything he finds about himself, but occasionally freaks out too. He has not been fully able to embrace what he is.

Finding out the reason for his attraction/attachment to Vivienne only makes him all the more protective of her and her child. Vivienne also finally puts her pride aside and accepts Mikah offer of help; a job and a place to live.

This book was even more emotional than the first one. Mikah feelings just tugged at our heart. There is definite progress in Mikah and Vivienne individually as well as in their relationship. I'm eager to find out where their life takes them.

I want to start out my review by warning any potential reader that book one of the series should be read first for the reader to really understand book two.

Ex-boyfriend and con, Riley, has snuck into Vivienne’s apartment and beaten her to a pulp. Riley is the son of a wannabe politician and business man who is bent on covering his son’s evil doing. Carrying Riley’s baby and knowledge of his crimes, Vivienne is a liability he is willing to cover up at any cost, including her life.

Micah is the first to discover Vivienne nearly dead in her apartment. In cahoots with the police detective that was charged to keep her safe and failed, Micah is hell bent on bringing Riley into police custody using all the tools at his wealthy disposal. The supernatural elements of this angelic and realistic romance start to literally pop up on Micah’s sexy back. Between hearing voices, seeing insanely amazing future dreams and events starring Vivienne, and hearing of his mythical heritage rock Micah’s world. While Vivienne heals and Micah makes plan to help her ease into a better future, her feisty personality and will to live cause him to fall further in desperate love.

I loved having the second story in the series given in Micah’s voice. It’s easy to say he’s a very dreamy prince charming and the plug in this second book making him supernatural only makes him more delicious. I look forward to continuing their love story.

Note: I received a copy of this ebook from I.O. Book Tours in return for an honest review.

It's probably a little late to write the review, but hell, the last three weeks were a blur of activity--mid terms, workshops, projects. It's the first time in days I'm able to sit down and check on my soc-med.

So, we finally find out what has happened to Viv. What makes me happy is that the book is written from Mikah's POV. That's good, because I like reading from the male's perspective.

Vivienne, in the first book, is injured because her ex finally finds her. In the second book, Mikah is holding vigil beside her while she's healing. The strangest thing is someone is talking to him in his head--claiming that the someone is an angel, and Mikah is too. He apparently has some kind of mission that will involve Viv. And something big will happen soon.

While I like his way of thinking, I think the book is pretty slow in developing. The chemistry between Viv and Mikah is strong, and I like Mikah's protectiveness--that's adorable. But their whole relationship feels like stalling. I do understand that maybe Viv is hesitant to start something new, especially with a man. And I don't think it's necessary for Zoey to divide the chapters too much. 46 chapters, and each chapter is too short. In comparison, Psy-Changelings books often have more than 40 chapters, but the chapters are long. So I think it's better if there is only 20 or so chapters, so I don't feel like each chapter ends too abruptly.

I was given the priveledge to read this arc for a honest review. This being the second in this series and considering the first one was a nugget of gold in a reader's hunt for treasures I was in turn given a ruby. That is of course how I perceived this one while reading it and it is a gem for sure. This just keeps getting better and better as this series does indeed continue to ensnare me the reader. This one is Mikah and you see more of what is going on and some really fine conversations between him and some mighty fine characters. Vivienne is in the hospital and under the weather so to speak by what has happened to her and he is so praying for her recovery. Wonderful revelations about Mikah in a perfect tempo. Also she is not left out either. Lots revealed just like a gem in a showcase. He is a giver and in his enlightments a lot to wonder about. But he is given to in this one. I would go as far to say it is something new for him also. The flow in the story continues but even sweeter and a little faster than the first. Not a easy accomplishment but this authors does it. It is as how it should be especially the revelations we are given insight on. I do believe I consumed this one even quicker than the first which was a pity for me because all too soon I had come to the end of it. I most assuredly will have difficult time waiting for the next one. Argh but wait I must.

This review will be short and sweet until I get full one written for release day!

I don't read paranormal romance as a rule, however I have recently discovered, that given the right story and author, you should never make assumptions.

I was honored with an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Book #1 Give Me Reason, and when we begin Book #2 Give Me Hope, we pick up right where we had left off. Vivienne and Mikah's story is truly unique! Mystical and dramatic, with great characters and strong writing the author sucks you into their world.

In this installment we are given a fair amount of background on Mikah and his family, which is extremely helpful to the reader. We are also given some insights into what is growing between Mikah and Vivienne. Needless to say physical attraction is not the only reason these two are drawn to each other. Vivenne and Miakh's story is a love story that delves into true, life altering love, that is not completely of this world. There is also a mystery simmering beneath the surface of this one. Danger, Love, Sacrifice, what more could you want in a story?

Add this one to your TBR lists as this one is truly and utterly unique.

Received from: Zoey Derrick (in exchange for an honest review)
Recommended for: 18+ due to violence and sexual tension
Grammar/editing: A – near perfect

This is book two in the Reason Series. These books definitely need to be read in order. If you have not yet read GIVE ME A REASON, I highly recommend that you stop now and go read it then come back here.
Riley has found Vivienne and he has left her for dead. As she recovers in the hospital, Mikah will not leave her side, except in his dreams. There he learns more about the feathers tattooing his back and what they mean for him and for her.

This story has me on the edge of my seat. I do not want to let go of Vivienne and Mikah. Ms. Derrick's writing is near flawless. I could feel and smell the experience of being in the hospital, in the waiting rooms, Mikah's apartment, and Elysium. Each was well described so that I felt immersed in the experience. I am absolutely in love with Mikah and his assistant, Red. His housekeeper, Celeste, though not a prominent character is developed and not just background clutter. I like that! I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Please don't let it be long of a wait!

4.5 Angelic Stars! ;)

Okay, I am soo happy I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book.

Give Me Hope starts right where Give Me Reason ended, except this book is all in Mikah's POV. Mikah's has this strange feeling in his back(where his wings are. Duh!) that something just isn't right with Vivienne and after some talking between himself and Detective Stevens, he heads over to her apartment. He finds a dead cop & a nearly dead Vivienne.

Most of the book Vivienne is unconcious, healing in the hospital. Mikah never leaves her side and learns a lot about himself(& Vivienne!) while he's there. You get to learn more about Mikah's past and more about his family. There are a lot of jaw dropping moments in this book, but I'm not going to give them all away ;) You'll have to read it to see how it all turns out.

Overall, this book was just incredible. Zoey's writing gets you so involved in the story, you finish the book before you know it and it leaves you wanting more. This series just keeps getting better and I can't wait for the next book!

This was a great second book to a series! And I loved how at the beginning the author put the last bit from the first book 'Give Me Reason' there, so we could be reminded of how it ended! I loved how the story flowed with ease at a steady pace. And if at all possible I love Mikah even more!

Mikah ~ The story is from his POV, and it picks up directly what GMR ended. It explains a lot of what he is struggling with internally. I wasn't really left going 'yay sure whatever!' You all know what I mean too. I believed it (even though it's a story) but the reason I believed it, was because of how Mikah reacts to every situation! He reacts like any sane person would!

Viv ~ Overall she wasn't really in the story till the end but I didn't notice her abstinence throughout the book! She's still the same fiery woman she was in GMR!

The ending I swear Zoey Derrick is doing it on purpose! Just to come to abrupt end and then a small beginning of the next book! Overall its a great story I recommend!

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

Micah is an angel with an unexplainable urge to protect and help Viv. Viv doesn't get it and fights him every step. She doesn't want his pity, thinks someone like him wouldn't do it for any other reason. When her past rears it's ugly head again, will his love be enough to save her?

I was given the first and second books of this series for a blog tour, and while I think the two books may have been better as one, I really loved the story. Make sure that you buy both Give Me Reason & Give Me Hope. Give Me Reason ends with one hell of a cliffhanger, so you'll want to start Give Me Hope immediately! Give Me Hope ends in a pretty good spot, but if you read the teaser from the next book...well I wouldn't recommend reading the teaser, lol. I had more questions after reading that short little bit than I did when the book ended! The next book doesn't come out until the end of December, so I will be so confused by the last sentence until I can read the next book, lol. I can only hope that the author will let me review the next book as well.

I fell in love with the first book, Give Me Reason, where Micah finds Vivienne working in a cafe and barely surviving. He tries to help her but her pride gets in the way. It seems Vivienne is attacked and left for dead by Riley, that Micah finds her and he learns more about him being an angel. So now Vivienne is back in the hospital trying to survive once again. While Micah doesn't leave her side, he is having dreams and Vivienne and his mother are in them. He tries to grasp his new angel side and helping Vivienne is his only mission. Will Vivienne accept his help? Will Micah be able to let her go if she decides that she doesn't want his help? This one will have you crying for Vivienne and loving this story line too. I love this series and can't wait for book 3, Give Me Desire, releases the end of December.

Another great read from Zoey. I don’t know what to say without spoiling things about the story. And the story is unfolding so nicely. I feel so vested in what happens to Viv and Mikah and the revelations in Give Me Hope have me angry that I have to wait for more of their story. Being impatient and wanting it all and wanting it now is what normally keeps me from reading novellas, but Zoey’s writing is amazing and I’m like an addict needing my next fix when it comes to her work.
Mikah and Vivienne’s story is hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking. They both have big hurts in their pasts and the present isn’t being any nicer to them. The next installment in the Reason series is due out before the end of the year and I am desperate to know where things are headed. HURRY, ZOEY!!!! I NEED MORE!!!!

The second novel in this series picks up where the first left off. [See my review of book #1 HERE]. There is never a dull moment in this story. I am completely invested in Vivienne and Mikah. Rooting for them both to make it through all the trials and tribulations that keep coming their way.

I've known and know people like Vivienne and I have nothing but respect for those that do their best when life deals them a horrible hand.

I hope that the bad guy(s) get what's coming to them and I hope that we get a happily ever after (well as best one can in the situations presented in this series).

Would I recommend it to others? YES! The third one comes out at the end of this month and I can't wait to read it. I'm completely hooked.

Give Me Hope picks up exactly where Give Me Reason leaves off, except this book is entirely from Mikah’s POV. There is a prologue in Give Me Reason that hints at possibilities beneath the surface of the story that are not explained until this book. And, I must say WOW to what was being hinted at. If you read the synopsis, it tells you outright what I’m talking about, but I’m not going to say it because I walked into it blind, and I thought it was more fun that way.

Normally, I avoid books that take this direction because they often border on ridiculous. Zoey Derrick does a great job balancing that line, allowing the ability to suspend disbelief and give the reader hope that special things can exist. I am so far loving this series, and am dying to get my hands on the next installment, Give Me Desire!

*I was given an ARC of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to have this book from Mikah's POV. I wasn't too sure about him in the first book...I didn't really connect with him, but this book has me rooting for him! I'm really enjoying the fact that it's not "insta-love" for these two. I like the build-up between them. I'm curious to find out more about the plot twist with Vivienne...I didn't see that coming and I also am wondering about this Detective Stevens. I can NOT wait to read "Give Me Desire!"

Zoey Derrick hooked me with Finding Love's Wings, and then suckered me in more with Give Me Reason. And now with Give Me Hope, I'm just as attentive a reader as ever. We're back with Mikah and Vivienne. Vivienne is following Mikah and the doctor's suggestions to ensure she and her baby are healthy. Mikah is contacted by a Detective Stevens to see if he recognizes (actually they were checking to see if he was in cahoots with!) Vivienne's ex who is in town. Mikah rushes to Vivi's apartment where he finds her unconscious and severely beaten. Staying by her side in the hospital, Mikah begins to have visions that explain a lot. This installment is sweet and I liked watching Mikah and Viv react to one another even as everything around them is evil and chaotic.

Give Me Hope (The Reason Series, Book 2)

In Book Two, you revisit the characters of Vivienne Callahan and Mikah Blake. With this story told by Mikah, in his own words, it gives us a little more on his thoughts and feelings toward Vivienne. After finding Vivienne in trouble, Mikah stays with her. He is giving her no choice this time. He is going to protect her and her baby no matter what.

Mikah begins to realize why he is having these feelings toward her. Will it be enough? Will he be able to protect Vivienne? Will Vivienne let down her guard and let him in to help her?

Another great story by Zoey Derrick. Yet again, Zoey Derrick pulls at our heart strings with her tales. Expect to run the gambit of emotions with Book Two. Cannot wait to find out what happens in Book 3 now.
